1 – WRAPPING UP SUMMER

Happy Saturday! I can’t believe it’s August. I definitely feel summer starting to wind down at our house. Remember these beautiful hydrangeas I bought in June?

They have looked gorgeous in my yard all summer and I have been watering them so diligently!

But alas.. all good things must come to an end and my plants aren’t feeling it anymore. I can’t bring them back! I had to laugh when I saw them like this not long after I watered them. They look like I always feel at the end of summer. Ha. Kole got his class schedule this week and he starts a week from Tuesday. I can’t believe my youngest is staring high school! We move the girls into their dorms the week after so we are busy getting all the back to school things ready. Feeling a lot of emotions this year and I know I’ll be a rollercoaster of highs and lows (mostly lows) for a while. But it’s coming whether I like it or not! I’m going to do my best to roll with it and find joy wherever I can. :)

2 – BRING ON THE BATS

One thing that is helping me feel happy is knowing fall is almost here. I bought myself some of my favorite fall cookies from Trader Joe’s yesterday to remind myself that good things are coming!

Then I promptly ordered these bats! Because hello.. retail therapy. Plus I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Halloween decoration I’ve been more excited about. I can’t wait to style them! I’m not a huge Halloween girl (more just into fall in general) but Kole loves Halloween and since he will be my only child at home this October I’m bringing my A game.

I’m also clearly bringing my bat game. Couldn’t resist these scissors! I bought them because they are cute but they have quickly become my favorite pair because they are sharp and the wings make a great grip. Ha. 3 – CLOSET CLEAN OUT

We finally finished going through the kids’ closets and it feels so good to have done! We donated lots and have Addison’s things ready to pack.

Of course cleaning out the old also means we have room for new! We got Addison this dress for college and she loves it so much that we ended up ordering it in the green floral print and the black too. The back is so cute and it comes with a built in bra (you can remove the pads if you want to). 10/10!

4 – TARGET FINDS

I fell hard for this bowl on-line but got even more excited about it when I saw it in person because it’s huge! Going to look so good in the kitchen. :)

More art and the cutest pumpkins! The marble pumpkin is so heavy! I was surprised when I picked it up and had to use both hands.. ha. Solid. The forest art went out of stock and just came back! I don’t think it will last long.. it’s so good.

I also picked up some cute planners for my girls for college and then ordered one for me to match. You can’t ever have too many planners in my opinion. ;) They start in July so a great option for back to school. I got the cute office supplies for their desks.

5 – AMAZON FINDS

{Hydro Silk Dermaplaning Wand}

Couple random Amazon finds that are too good to not share. I ordered these Dermapaning Wands to try a few months ago and they are so good! The best I’ve ever used so I ordered some for my girls too.

This handheld mini fan is another recent favorite! I ordered it for Addison to use in Texas.. maybe after booking it from one class to another while it’s so hot. But it packs such a punch I want one to keep in my purse! It’s also a flashlight and a backup power bank. Cute summer gift!

6 – HAPPY WEEKEND

Have the best weekend! I’m hoping to watch some of the Olympics I’ve been recording! So fun seeing everything take place in spots we visited a month ago. Trip pics are coming soon along with fall inspo! Good things are always coming right?
