{A few things that are making me happy right now}
Getting into a warm car when I’m cold
Walking barefoot on my kitchen floor after it has just been mopped
Chewy Sweetarts
Addison’s “boats” or half eaten apples as the rest of us would call them
Getting a good parking spot at Addie’s preschool because my parallel parking skills are killer (4 years ago when I started parallel parking at this school I could have easily been a killer)
All of the pretend play going on – in every room of the house
Reading to my girls
The new show Modern Family that has made its way onto our fall line-up. Hilarious! A couple new promising others: The Good Wife and Flash Forward.
Warm clothes fresh out of the dryer (usually set to dry for another 10 minutes so they’ll feel “fresh out of the dryer” when really they’ve been sitting in the dryer for two days)

School supplies {side note: the heavens opened for me a couple of weeks ago when I started volunteering in Ellie’s classroom and was given free range to a school supply room once again. I felt like I was coming home. Years ago when I was applying for teaching positions I had to fill out form after form on why I wanted to be a teacher. “love children…love learning…want to instill that love…blah blah blah.” What I really wanted to write was that I was totally in it for the school supplies} Anyone want to meet me in Staples?

It’s getting dark earlier. I love it when it’s getting dark and I’m in my house and in my pajama bottoms with the pumpkin spice candle burning. And it’s 5:30.

Ok – so you are totally making me sick with all the cool stuff you do for your kids etc. I hope someday when my kids are bigger I am as creative you are. I love all of it – and I too wish I had a laminating machine.
Staples, my version of heroin. LOVE office supplies of any form!!!! Especially pens!!!!! Oh, yea!!!
I love all of those things except the Weekend part. It’s sad but true. I don’t like them. Not right now anyway.

My house is filled with pumpkin spice scented candles right now! I love the fall with all it’s smells. I can totally relate to the darker evenings and warm car. Summer is great but I’m ready to take on the holiday’s. Thanks again for the fun Halloween ideas. I’m getting them all ready for Monday!

I love the smell of a good Xerox machine when it’s already hot and piling out several hundred freshly inked copies to make my hands feel toasty warm.
Wanna know how I know you didn’t write this post today?? the being cold getting into a hot car…HELLOOO 85 degrees (that’s right folks) here in SD. Who said it was fall?? Still fun to read…and I am wanting that crumb free kitchen floor feeling about now:)
