Happy Thursday friends! I’m sharing a simple spring tablescape today that honestly took minutes to put together. My kind of tablescape. :) My friends Randi and Kelley instigated a fun Mother’s Day/Spring tablescape loop so if you are visiting from Janet’s blog (Shabbyfufu) welcome! Hopefully these Spring tablescapes will give you all fun ideas if you want to set your table pretty for Mother’s Day brunch. Truth be told, my Mother’s Day wish is always to eat out so I won’t necessarily be using this tablescape Mother’s Day weekend. ;) But I love Spring decor! And I love having my table decorated for each season so it is ready to have friends over at a moment’s notice.
Before we get started I have to tell you DO NOT look at my built-ins.
You just looked, didn’t you. ;) You can look at them.. just know that they aren’t styled yet. I started putting a few things in them and then moved on to a different project (story of my life) and I still need to finish styling them. So let’s just focus on the table today shall we? The shelves will look better the next time I post them. Things are always a bit of a work in progress around here. :)
For a centerpiece I used my favorite clear vase and velvet blossoms from World Market. I usually have these sitting on my dining nook…
(Dining nook sources at the end of this post.)
These flowers are tricky to photograph because I always have them up against a window. In person they look so pretty and they are favorites of mine because aside from looking great, they are also easy to bend and shape just how I want them.
Right now I am loving this vase and flowers on my farmhouse table for Spring!
I love for everything in my home to feel fresh and clean this time of year so I just used simple white dishes and napkins. The yellow napkin rings add a fun touch. Yellow is such a happy color, isn’t it? It just screams Spring and Summer time!
Next to my vase I just added a couple of bowls from West Elm and then my beloved Hyannis lanterns filled with lemons. SO simple, right!?
The lemons are my favorite part. {Mom.. next time you come to visit I’ll have your Diet Coke and lemons waiting. :) }
The pillows I usually keep on this bench are yellow and navy so they work great all Spring and Summer. I had red out through the holidays and missed these pillows!
I also placed two more yellow bowls on the sides of the table for whatever food is going to be served.
My poor built-ins in this room need some attention. They always get all of the leftover dishes that don’t work anywhere else in my house.
Now this table just needs friends and food!
And lots of Diet Coke. :)
Be sure to visit the next tablescape on the tour – my friend Randi at Randi Garrett Design! And if you’re new to my blog, you can see the rest of my house tour here. (And my formal living room here because I have’t added it to my house tour yet.)
And happy Spring.
:)

Such a pretty tablescape! I’m with you though, on Mother’s Day, I’d much prefer to go out to eat. :) Maybe I’d stay home if I had as pretty of a table as you do, though. Don’t get me wrong, mine is nice enough, but I don’t have all the fun stuff that you do to dress it up. And I think your built ins look very nice! :) Thanks for sharing more of the beauty of your home, Erin. :)
Jeanne one of these days we need to eat out together! I would love that so much. Thank you sweet friend. I always love hearing from you! xo
Just gorgeous Erin and I love your pop of yellow with that rug. You just might make me into a a yellow lover :-)

Erin,
I love the tablescape. The yellow, gray, and black look so nice together. It does look clean and fresh. I love how you took something simple, but made it look so fabulous. Have a great Mother’s Day. I hope your family takes you out to eat.

Your tablescape is so pretty, Erin….indeed, very fresh and fun with all the pops of yellow! Oops, I did peek at your built-ins, but I’m thinking the “un-styled” is working pretty well….they look beautiful!

Hi Erin!
Love everything about this! Saw the vases at World Market today (OMG that store!). Was wondering if this the large or medium size? I am feeling like the flowers might touch my chandelier. thanks for your thoughts!
Oh my word, right Lisa!? LOVE World Market! One of my many happy places. :) My vase is the large size. Hope that helps! xo
