Happy Friday everyone!  Or Saturday, Sunday or Monday depending on when you read this. :)  Made it through another week in May.. success!  I really don’t like to wish away time but I have to admit.. I’m excited to get to the end of this busy month!  Lazy days by the pool are calling my name and I’m ready to answer. :)  I can’t thank you all enough for the kind, uplifting comments, emails, DM’s, etc. after my last 10 Habits of Happy Moms post.  I’m thrilled that so many of you enjoyed that post and that it resonated with you.  I also loved hearing from so many of you!  Blogging can feel lonely sometimes!  Just me and my projects, pictures and computer working away :) so I especially love days when I get to interact with you all.  I’m very grateful for your kind words and support!  I say this a lot but it really does mean so much to me.

Fashion Friday is on the agenda today!  I actually started my Fashion Friday posts years ago after I had Kole (my last baby).  I had worked hard to exercise and eat healthy and lose most of the baby weight and was excited to be DONE with maternity clothes.  I wanted to have a big party to watch them all burn!  Ha. ;)  I learned quickly after becoming a stay at home mom that I was always in a better mood when I got ready for the day.  (Another happiness tip that I briefly touched on in my last post.. looking your best so that you can feel your best.)  I started these posts to help motivate me to get dressed and ready each day!  Even if my only outing was a trip to the grocery store I just felt better about myself and in a better mood when my hair was done and I had on real clothes and a little make-up.

Those early Fashion Friday posts are hilarious to me now!  

Aside from the poor picture quality Kole makes a lovely debut in almost every picture.  

He has always worked hard to make things so easy for me. ;)  

Fashion Friday posts still help me with that to this day.  When you work from home and have an obsession with pajamas and being comfortable it can be really tempting to just not get ready.  But I’ve always found that while that feels good at first, it usually leads to a slumpy day for me.  I don’t make as good of food choices when I’m in baggy pj’s or sweats and I don’t have the energy and confidence I have when I feel good about how I look.  It’s a powerful thing!  How we look affects how we feel and how we feel directly affects how we treat others.  Don’t underestimate the power of a good hair day, killer jeans and a cute new top!  If you need ideas on the cute new tops.. you’ve come to the right place. :)

The clothes I’m sharing today are all recent favorites from Nordstrom!  They have so many beautiful clothes and accessories in right now for Spring/Summer.  It’s down right dangerous.  In the best way possible.

Cutest floral blouse for summer!  It’s lightweight and so feminine.  I wore it last week with a skirt and it looks really cute tucked in more fitted too.

The cute wedges I’m wearing above in the first pic are these Rain Espadrille Sandals.  I ordered them in the blush and the sand color and have been living in them this Spring.  The scallop detail is so cute and they are REALLY comfortable!  I love that they look good casual with jeans/shorts but have enough detail that they look good with dresses/skirts too.  I also have a huge crush on all of the fun Marc Fisher Wedges!  Another really comfortable summer wedge that comes in lots of fun colors.  My Despina Strappy Sandals I’ve had for a few years and still love to pull them out every Spring.

You guys.  Seriously.  I know I sound like a broken record but I just can’t get enough of Madewell!  I’ve been working on cleaning my closet (for over a year now.. ha) and am honesty considering devoting one whole section to Madewell clothes.   This brand just speaks to me.  How cute is this Gingham top!?

I have so many favorite earrings right now and these Raffia Tassel Hoop Earrings are at the top of my list!  So cute for summer and a great price for the quality.

This cute fitted tee comes in blue too and selling fast!  No surprise there.  Perfect casual top for summer!  And my Sincerely Jules Woven Shoulder Bag is back!  I carried this all over Maui and so many of you were bummed it was sold out when I shared pics of it.  YEA that it’s back in stock!  Goes so cute with the Raffia earrings. :)

This Marin Sweater is a little more Fallish looking but it’s such a great fit you guys.  I just ordered this one in Pearl Ivory stripe (more of a summer look) because I love it so much!  I love the neck and the sleeves.  It’s so soft and comfortable.  Fitted enough to give you a shape, but not tight.  PERFECT.

The reason I’m loving it so much is that it’s just a different version of my all time favorite Marin Tie Front Sweater that I have in green.  I have the similar Modern tie front tee in lilac and I just ordered this one in Pearl Ivory.  Go ahead.  Try just buying ONE of these sweaters.  Not possible. ;)

Speaking of Madewell favorites.. my Denim Daylily dress is back!  I got this in the fall and wore it with boots but I’m so excited to wear it with sandals for Summer!  I always get compliments on this dress when I wear it.  Madewell I’m forever yours.  Here are a few other favorites on my wish list..

This Embroidered Slub Knit Tank is another recent favorite.  I love cap sleeve tanks and this one comes in so many fun colors!  Would be really cute in white too.

And how cute are these Resin Triangle Drop Earrings!?  They are beautiful in person!  And so fun with this green tank.. really with anything green, blue or white!  Madewell of course.  Sorry but not sorry. :)

Cute Sunetta Oracle Fitted Tee!  Florals are always fun this time of year.

Ok.. next favorite summer top on the list.. this white Pleat Linen Blouse.  I love the pleats!  One of my biggest pet peeves with white tops is when they are too thin and see through.  This blouse is thick so it’s not see through at all – a relaxed fit – and has such pretty details on the sleeves and neck.  It also comes in pink and grey!

Aren’t the sleeves pretty!?  I had to get a quick picture after I finished these flower arrangements for a tablescape I’m sharing soon!  I was quite proud of them because I sort of fake my way through flower arrangements.  Ha.

I’ve also been wearing my white blouse with these casual Linen Jogger Pants.  These are so comfortable and light weight for summer.  You all know how I feel about joggers!  They are basically dressy sweats.  You FEEL and look good, but also get the comfort factor.  And that’s precisely why I’m a fan. :)
