Hello everyone! I was so happy to hear yesterday that my Christmas Inspiration post was helpful to some of you! Even if you have no plans to decorate for Christmas soon it’s always nice to start getting ideas early. I’ve found that planning ahead is the key to enjoying the busy holiday months! And that thought my friends, is a perfect way to transition us into today’s post. Because I’m tricky like that. ;)
My 2019 HOLIDAY PLANNER is here! Last year I designed a holiday planner to help guide us through Oct/Nov/Dec keeping us on top of things and organized. It’s near impossible to sip hot chocolate by the Christmas tree and enjoy your family when you’ve hit December 15th and still have a stressful to-do list a mile long. That’s not fun for anyone! (I know because I’ve had several years like that!) My Holiday Planner is full of pages that will help you plan ahead and stay organized throughout the holidays.
I spent some time last month thinking about how to say thank you this year to all of you for reading my blog and supporting me and all I do here. Stopping by to read my blog posts, liking my IG/FB posts, leaving kind comments, shopping through my links, sending thoughtful e-mails and DM’s.. none of it goes unnoticed and I am so incredibly grateful for this community. I thought about doing a fun giveaway (and still might!) but the bummer with a giveaway is that I can only really thank a handful of select winners. I decided that the one gift I can give that will really be helpful to each one of you (or as many of you who want it!) is to give you each a copy of my holiday planner. Last year I charged $12 for it and it was so fun creating a product and watching it take off, but this year I just want to give it to each of you for free to say THANK YOU! A huge thank you for your friendship and support. I can’t quite be Oprah and say “You get a car! And you get a car! And you get a car!!!” But I can come close and say “You get a planner! And you get a planner! And you get a planner!!!”
Yeah.. ok. That doesn’t come even a little bit close. Ha! But it was fun trying. ;)

{MY PLANNING SYSTEM AND HOW I’M USING MY HOLIDAY PLANNER}
I so hope this planner is helpful to you this year! The “week at a glance” (my favorite!) starts today! Obviously not everything I suggest in this planner will apply to you. I have one friend who just used and loved the party planning and baking pages. Another friend last year especially loved and used the calendar pages and to-do lists. A third friend was so excited about the shopping by group guide and the suggestions for ways her family could make the holidays more meaningful. I use it all! :) Take what applies and make this baby work for you!
Thanks again for your friendship and support! Wishing you all the happiest (and most organized!) holiday season yet. :)
Oh, this is so exciting.
Lists, planning and ways to make the holidays easier, those are all of my favorite things! . I can’t wait. So thoughtful. Thank you. I love fall and Thanksgiving is one of my favorites. But Christmas has always had my heart. Can’t wait to plan for all of it. I appreciate all you do for us. Your gift guides and favorites have helped me with gifts so much. I know a lot of time goes into each and every post, so thank you!!! XO

Erin, you are the sweetest! This planner will be so helpful to me in the coming weeks, as life just gets busier and busier. I am such a planner girl and your holiday planner is pretty and practical – two of my favourite things! Thank you so much.
Oh you made my day! I’m so happy this will be helpful to you! You are so welcome. :) xo
Thank you for sharing this! I am so excited to use your pages to get organized this year! I was wondering if you might do a post sharing your timeline for decorating. Do you focus on one room a day/week? When do you start? Do you plan each room decor ahead or just pull everything out and decide what to use?
We recently built a new home and I would love to have every room decorated in some way, but it feels overwhelming!
Thank you!
Marie that is such a great question! I’ll try to share that in a post on IG stories or something soon! I don’t have a great method to my madness but I’ll share what has worked for me! xo
Thank you Erin! I’m a long time reader and have been cheering you on mostly silently. I want to thank you for your inspiration, decorating tips and down to earth humor that I can so relate to. I love watching your family grow and hearing about you embracing the changes that are inevitable. May God bless you this holiday season as you have blessed all of us.
I can’t wait to start using this planner!
Jillian what a sweet thing to say! Oh my word.. so thoughtful and kind. Thank you! It means so much to me that you have enjoyed my blog through the years. And I’m thrilled you are excited about the planner! Thanks again for the thoughtful message (it made my day!) and enjoy the holiday season! xo
YAY!! It’s here!! I take full blame for kindly harassing you for this year’s download. I would have happily paid the $12 again because it was THAT HELPFUL to me. Also, pro tip: I try to document as much as possible during this stage of life (with young kids, ages 6 and 3) and I kept the bucket lists with the items checked off. I plan to compare them year over year. The activities I want to do change with the ages of my kids and last year’s “picture with Santa” item won’t stay on the list forever (ya know, because the kids become too cool for that eventually). Also, last year that actually was written in but not checked off and that’s because my little one FREAKED out at the sight of the man in the red suit. Lack of a check on a list seems daunting, it really stressed me out last year. But now that non-checked item gives me a chuckle.
Jessica I’m so happy you are excited about the planner! And what a great idea to keep the bucket lists to compare! We had so many years with one of my kids crying on Santa’s lap but now those are our favorite pictures! Too much fun. :) Happy holiday planning and thanks for your sweet comment! You made my day. :) xo
I think I am going to use this. Thank you for sharing!!!
So happy to hear that Jane! I hope it’s helpful! :)
Just found your blog and, although I am at a later stage of life, I love it! I have used a holiday planner for many (many!) years now and always enjoy seeing what others include in theirs. In fact, when I started using my planner home computers were not common, there were no smartphones and I kept my planner in a waterproof folder (the type with interior tabs you could fasten pages into) to protect it from the snow and it went everywhere with me for a couple of months. Other planners always seem to have some pages I hadn’t thought of before. The couple of pages I have are a page for group gifts where I organize the gifts my siblings and I buy togethervfor the great-nieces and great-nephews (just the way our holiday is set up). I also have a vinyl pencil pouch for my receipts. Although I start fresh every year, one section, Christmas memories, stays in my binder all the time. In this section I have items , like the letter my now 29-yo daughter wrote in grade school campaigning for her first American Girl doll. It’s so fun to stumble across those items!
Hi Margot! I’m so happy you found me! Thank you for your sweet words about my blog and planner. I loved hearing more about your past system.. so smart! And I love that you’ve saved things like that from when your daughter was younger! Keepsakes for sure. I hope you’re enjoying the Fall so far! Happy holiday planning! xo
Thanks for the download of the Holiday planner,, but I clicked it to download and I never got anything??
Did I do something wrong? Looking forward to getting organized!!
Hi Brenda! Oh no! You should have received a follow up e-mail. Check your junk mail! Sometimes it goes there! Let me know if not. xo
I can’t seem to download your Holiday Planner. I am subscribed to your blog. Every time I want to download something from your printables library, i have to re-subcribe to get access. Am I doing Something wrong?
Oh no! So sorry! That shouldn’t be happening. Check your junk mail and if it isn’t there send me an e-mail and I’ll send you the link!
