See now.. I haven’t forgotten about Thanksgiving entirely! I’m sharing a Thanksgiving tablescape today!
Alright. The jig is up. This table is from last year. My table is already decked in green and red plaid. Ha. #sorrynotsorry
I thought I would share a few ideas from past years for anyone hosting this year! We were home last year for Thanksgiving so I set this tablescape and loved having it up for a few special meals throughout November.
For every day when we weren’t eating I just kept the centerpiece. I laid this simple chiffon table runner in the center of my table.
Then I laid two of my favorite eucalyptus garlands on top of the runner. Next I placed little white pumpkins, candles, gold acorns and pinecones throughout the garland. So easy!
This is how it looked later when I added dishes.
I’ll link everything that’s still in stock at the end of this post!
One of my favorites. :)
Another fun idea is to take the pumpkins from your front porch and layer them on top of some faux (or real if you have them!) Fall leaves. Add a few candles throughout and done! (These leaves are similar to mine.)
Makes me so excited to be gathered around the table with family this year!
Last year was slightly comical. Our first Thanksgiving without my mom! Usually on Thanksgiving I assist with the entertaining of the cousins and setting the table. I might slice a few potatoes or wash some carrots, but that’s it. It was quite an experience cooking the whole meal! Kenny and the girls were so great and chipped in. Kenny made the turkey and the girls and I did all of the sides. I was on the phone with my mom all morning! Ha. But we pulled it off! I’m still so proud of us all.
My kitchen on Thanksgiving day. Looking good!
So grateful I’m not hosting this year! I’ll host all of the Christmas parties! With my cute plaid plates.
And take out.
:)
Nice to revisit the pretty tables. They look lovely, Erin. You have a good eye for tablescapes. Great photos of what really goes on making Thanksgiving dinner. Even down to a sous chef on her tippy toes! ;) Thanks for sharing and hope your holidays this year are filled with joy and fun.
Thank you so much Jeanne! Thank goodness for my sous chef.. she is keeping us all fed and alive at this point being the only one who likes to cook! ha. I hope you’re having a good November! xo
Your dining room is so beautiful, Erin! I never get tired of seeing it :) Enjoy your day!
Thank you so much Lisa! So sweet of you. It makes me happy you like it! :)
Always such beautiful decorating ideas! And your gift guides are really helpful. Love the photo of Addison (right?) cooking on her toes – I remember when you posted several pics of her doing that, just makes me chuckle!
Thank you so much MaryJo! Yes Addison! I remember that post! I have so many pics of her on her toes.. always makes me chuckle too! Love that you remember that. :) xo
