Sharing my Fall/Halloween porch today! Even though we’re over half way through October and many of you (if you’re anything like me) are planning your Christmas porch already! I’ve had it decorated for a few weeks but haven’t had time to share it until now. My little buddy helped wash our pumpkins as is our tradition! Although it was a much shorter activity than usual since we are always trying to be careful with water these days. Plus he’s now in middle school! Watering all the things just isn’t as exciting as it once was.. ha. Luckily the actual pumpkin/lantern washing only takes about 2 minutes so it’s a tradition I think will stand the test of time. ;)
Last year I mixed things up and went with a green and white fall porch so this year I decided to go back to tried and true orange. You just can’t lose with orange in the fall! This cute flutter sleeve dress is a recent Target find I’ve been wearing. It’s so casual and comfortable and comes in other colors too. Would be cute for fall family pictures! Or to wear standing next to orange pumpkins on a fall porch. :)
I had my porch like this for fall for a couple of weeks and then..
 {lighted maple trees/tree baskets/jute rug/orange outdoor rug/cream & brown stripe rug/caleb metal lanterns/bats/happy halloween garland}
decided to add some bats and this cute happy halloween garland. Now we’re ready for trick or treating!
These lighted maple trees are just too much fun!
They looks so cute in baskets next to a wheat bundle and some pumpkins.
I layered 3 rugs.. the jute rug I’ve had on my porch for a year with this fun orange outdoor rug and this cream & brown stripe rug. I also added my long time tried and true metal lanterns that alway make an appearance this time of year. :)
But my favorite part of this porch is how it looks when the sun starts to go down.
And when it’s completely dark. I love the trees!
Aren’t they beautiful!? I snapped these pics quickly with my phone.. they light up so pretty at night. I usually just have lights on my porch/house for Christmas so it feels extra special enjoying them early this year. :)
Happy Halloween friends! It’s right around the corner.
Bring it on. :)
Your porch is looking nice and festive for Halloween. I like the addition of the bats. ;) Everything looks great. Your helper did a great job. I couldn’t help but notice how tall he is getting. Wow! Guess they do that huh? Except my youngest is a shor…er petite little thing. LOL We celebrated her birthday over the weekend as she won’t be able to be home for it this year. By the end of the week my years of having teenagers will end. How is that possible?? I appreciate all your hard work, Erin! Thanks for being such a sunny addition to my day!
Oh my word Jeanne.. no more teenagers! Sad but also congratulations are in order! Ha! That is a tricky stage and you made it! :) So happy you like the porch.. thank you! xo
It’s so beautiful at night!!
Thank you Kathy! :)
Erin,
What an inviting porch! Especially love the lighted trees and I’m over the moon with the lanterns! ALWAYS! The IDEA of an entryway is to inspire one to see WHAT ELSE. WHAT does THIS lead to? You have the perfect porch/entry as it is covered and becomes part of your entry foyer when decorated (which, of ;) course, it always is!) You have brought me back to the love of decorating for ALL seasons rather than just being bummed about taking Christmas decor down b/c it is over. Your enthusiasm about ALL the holidays and the decor that goes with it is just infectious! Back when I was teaching the very young, I was always thinking of HOW we can decorate for this holiday or the other, corners, bulletin boards……
You, Erin, have brought that enthusiasm back! Oh, and bats! You can always tell at Halloween when there is a boy in “the litter”. I actually just found a bat my son made many years ago to hang in a tree by the front door! With the kids now out of the house, I keep NOT MY FAV. “Halloween” to just a few days, 1 week at most. FALL itself is my lead into Christmas holiday. No bats/skulls/ etc. for me now, but a tiny bat made oh-so-long-ago lives on in a sandwich zip lock in my jewelry box!
You’re the sweetest Sharon! Believe me.. when Kole is older and moved out there won’t be much Halloween going on in my house! As much as I love all holiday decorating I just can’t get into the skulls and gory stuff. Bats for my boy and that’s about where it ends. Ha! I love that you kept a bat your son made! Now THAT I would definitely pull out every year. :) XO
LOVE it! Looks great, especially at night! Well done!
Thank you so much Leah! Happy you like it. :)
I love the dress! I also like the lighted trees. I was thinking of putting fairy lights inside my lanterns, but I’m not sure if they would have the effect I’m hoping for since we have our porch lights on. It’s much better if it was dark. For now, I put the lights somewhere else.
Fun idea Debbie! Thank you!
Stop!!! I can’t believe how big your baby is…. the first pic made my so happy to see this cutie helping out so enthusiastically… then I saw the next one… the current one…. he’s tall… and young man-ish…. not little and boy-ish…. I hate when that happens…..😉😧
Me too Jodey! I about started to bawl the other night when I went to turn off his fan at night. He just looked so LONG in his bed! Like what happened to my little boy!? Overnight. :(
So pretty!
Well done, Erin! Well done!
Thank you so much! So happy you like it! Happy Halloween. :)
Hello, Love this! What sizes are your lanterns?
Thank you!
Thank you Cathy! I have two of the large (36″) and one small (21.5). :)
Wondering if you have a gift guide for teen girl pjs I am starting my holiday shopping 😊
Thanks Erin
Yea! I’ve started too! Feels so good to get it done early. I’ll be sharing gift guides on the blog soon but until then you can always follow me on the LTK app! I’ve started gift guides there and have a teen girl collage up! Below is the link and then you just click on the picture and all of the product links will pop up. :) (You can always find the link to my page in the app at the bottom of my blog too where it says “shop my Instagram.”) I hope that’s helpful! And I hope you’re having a good weekend. :)

Your porch looks amazing! Love, love the lite trees! Can you tell me where you got the wheat bundles and how tall they are? Thanks so much!
Thank you so much Katie! I actually found those years ago at Home Depot! They are around 30 inches tall. :)
Hello! I purchased the bats but was wondering how you hang them. They have clear strings, but it does not look like you used them. Thanks in advance!
Cathy
Hi Cathy! Sorry I’m just seeing this! I used painters tape! I use it for everything.. so easy! :)
