Happy Saturday! We’re over a week into August so I figured it was probably time to take down my Patriotic porch! I’m not quite ready to bust out the pumpkins so I decided to just do a quick early fall look.

It was so easy and took no time! I just pulled out the red flowers and patriotic wreath and mat.
Love this doormat for a summer/fall transition.
Then I picked up this pretty maroon wreath for the door. (A few more fun similar options here.)

2 – PUMPKIN LIGHTS
I ordered these pumpkin lights for fall.. they are battery operated and light up a pumpkin so beautifully! The only bummer is they only fit in one of my terracotta jack o’ lanterns! You need a large opening so I’m going to have to order something thinner for the other two pumpkins! I wanted to share them anyway because they will work great for most real/faux pumpkins.
3 – BACKPACKS
We are ready and excited about Kole’s first day of high school next week! He is twinning with Addison this year.. they both wanted the same backpack. :) We’ve used JanSport backpacks the past few years and they are so good! They have a few options on Amazon too here.
4 – WEEKEND PROJECT
{Rattan Wicker Storage Baskets}
I’m working on a little project this weekend! Finally tackling the linen closet in my bedroom hallway. It’s such a mess and has been for years! I ordered lots of these rattan wicker storage baskets and a few other things to help me get organized. I’ve used these baskets in my closet and in my girls’ bedrooms and closets and love them for holding random miscelaneous items. If you look at the dimensions they are nice and deep! Beautiful and so functional. I’ll share some before and afters soon!
5 – TARGET FINDS
These tinted glasses are so classy and beautiful! I can’t wait to put together a fun fall tablescape and have friends over. I don’t drink alcohol but these glasses are inspiring all sorts of fun mocktail ideas. They are such a good price and come in a pretty green too!

A few more Target finds I’m using to decorate this year! So many pretty vases and stems! The art is next level this year and I rounded up everything I ordered below. I bought so many pretty prints and will share how I’m styling them all soon!
6 – PRE SEASON MESS
I feel so scattered right now! I started taking down summer and pulling out fall so my dining room looks like a seasonal bomb went off. Then I got distracted with all of the back to school prep and things were are doing to get the girls ready to move. It was a busy week full of dr. appointments, end of summer activities, friends’ birthday celebrations and last minute shopping for the kids. My house is a mess from summer (sand from the beach and pool towels are everywhere!) and I start to cry at the drop of a hat. All good things going on! But it’s messy and a lot of change happening soon and I can tell I’m anxious about it all. This is why I’m organizing my linen closet this weekend. Ha! Kind of crazy to add one more mess around here but getting something in order will help me fell calmer. That’s just how I roll. :) I also need to have a massive brain dump session tomorrow and write everything down. Too much is swirling around in my head!
I hope you are feeling a little more put together than I am at the moment! But if not that’s ok too. Write everything down that is in your head and then do one thing on that list OR organize something. Organize anything! You will instantly feel better.
Plus angels will sing which is always a happy bonus. ;)
Beautiful porch, Erin. Love the mat. Big hugs to you as you navigate this busy time of big changes. It’s a fun, exciting and hard season. One minute at a time and you will get through it. I’m sending positive thoughts that everything goes smoothly. The house stuff can definitely wait! Hugs!
