1 – CHRISTMAS PORCH

Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week! We are so ready for the holidays at our house! Everything is decorated (I have lots to share this week!) and Addison just flew in tonight! Ellie is heading over tomorrow so I couldn’t be happier. Everyone is in bed and I’m up late with Gilmore Girls and tree lights on typing this in my happy place. :) Nothing like the anticipation of a fun week with family. This is the first Thanksgiving we’ve stayed home for in years and while I’m a little sad about not seeing my parents and siblings in Utah we are really looking forward to having some down time with our girls home. BRING IT ON.

Ok.. like I said the halls have been decked and I’m sharing a few little things today and more this week! I kept my holiday porch the same as last year. I just loved this porch so much and needed one more year to enjoy it!

Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

These pre-lit trees are so pretty and I used to use them in my house. I love them on my porch next to the slim flocked trees!

Christmas Porch (Sunny Side Up)

My only new addition is these beautiful gold lanterns! I was looking on-line for gold lanterns and couldn’t find anything I was excited about that didn’t cost a lot. (I knew I wanted to buy at least 6.) I was so excited when I landed on these! They are so pretty and were a great price. I’ve had these flameless candles for years and couldn’t love them more. They are a little pricey but they look so real and click on and off with a timer so you don’t have to touch them!

Just watch them glow each night! The best.

Light-Up Demi Village Wreath Decor

This cute wreath is another holiday favorite I’ve had for years and it just went on sale! The little house lights up. I adore it.

I addd a few holiday touches to the dutch door too!

Let it Snow Mat

Thought this Let it Snow Somewhere Else mat was pretty appropriate for San Diego. :)

Nothing like Christmas night lights!

2 – WOOD TREE

Tree Board (Sunny Side Up)

Jute Rope Tree / Similar HERE & HERE

Last week I shared this cute wood rope tree.

Tree Board (Sunny Side Up)

I’m using it to display our Santa pics this year. So fun.

I was going to hang the pictures from the wood but it worked better to just tape them directly on the board with my go-to painter’s tape.

I love seeing my kids grow up in these pictures though the years! My kids asked last year how long they need to keep up this tradition and Kenny’s response was “until you’re all financially independent” so I’m thinking we still have lots of good Santa pics to come.. ha. ;)

3 – SLIM TREES IN POTS

Pre-Lit Tree, (Similar Tree HERE & HERE), Similar Planter Pot

One of the things I’m so excited about in my home this year are these fun slim trees I added!

Slim tree (Sunny Side Up)

They are so beautiful! Really slim which I love because they are perfect for tight corners! The lights are stunning and the are such pretty trees I didn’t even want to decorate them. Instead of using the stands they came with I just put them in large black pots. Love the look!

Pre-Lit Tree, (Similar Tree HERE & HERE), Planter Pot

I had my 3 slim Target trees here but they just took up too much room in this stair landing so I moved them to Kole’s bedroom (made him happy!) and I put another slim tree here. Perfect solution!

Outlet Concealer

I can’t hide the cord here so I used an outlet concealer to disguise it as much as possible! This is a great solution when you want your plug/cord to look better OR to use when you have a console or nightstand table up next to a wall and don’t want a plug/cord pushing it out! It comes in different sizes.

Pre-Lit Flocked Tree, Planter Pot

One last tree in my dining room! I have the flocked version in this corner.. it’s magical! These black pots come in a set of 3 (this is the largest size) and they are on sale at the moment! You’ve seen them before on my porch. They move all over my house and always come in handy!

4 – CHRISTMAS OFFICE

Christmas Office (Sunny Side Up)

Woven Counter Stools

I added a few fun things to my office to make it feel festive too. Isn’t holiday decor fun!? It makes me so happy.

I’ve had this pretty linen board for a while and just added some favorite Christmas photos and art.

Then I hung wreaths on the chairs and these two cute banners over my board. :)

This sleigh I shared a couple of weeks ago  is the cutest!

I also hung these cute paper lanterns in the corner. Easy and fun decor!

5 – UGGS/CANDLE LIGHTER

holiday pjs (Sunny Side Up)

Adore me T-shirt & Joggers/Velour Tree PJs/Ugg Slippers

I hosted my annual Christmas party this week! I love having it early because December is nuts and gets booked so quickly! Plus I always have my house decorated early so why not!? It’s a fun way to kick off the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays with my friends each year. I snapped this so quick right before my friends started arriving and then had to answer the door.. loving this pj combo and these comfy Uggs!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Electronic Candle Lighter, Charcoal Terracotta Jug, Acacia Cutting Board

The theme was Home for the Holidays (since we’re staying home and my girls are coming home!) and everyone brought fun home related things for their gifts. I’ll share more pics and what everyone brought soon! But the item everyone wanted a link to was my electronic candle lighter! Ha. So funny. I had it out lighting candles and it was a hit! I thought I’d share it again because it would make a great stocking stuffer or gift with a candle this holiday season. :)

  1. Looks great! Lots of pretty decor. But the prettiest decor will be the smiles on all your faces when your family is all together for the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Erin,
I just wrote you a long reply. It was not in the cards! Computer went down for a min. and when I got back on it was gone :(
So in a nutshell- I LOVE IT! EVERYTHING! LOL, now you don’t have to print my long rambling piece!
Can’t wait for the party pictures and the gifts everyone chose! HURRY with your edit of them! I absolutely love these “snippets” or slice of life!
