1 – PALM SPRINGS
Happy Saturday! Sharing a bit of this and that to kick off the weekend. I hope your Saturday is off to a good start! Last Saturday we were in Palm Springs and to be honest I’m wishing we never left! It was so warm and sunny! Came back to a cold and cloudy week here in SD. It was a quick trip but felt good to get away for a few days.
Not a bad place to spend the weekend!
We took Kole and some friends for an early birthday celebration. Kole turns 15 this Sunday! I can’t believe I’m saying that. I know some of you have been with me since he was born! Love this kid too much. Rap music was blasting the whole two hour drive there and the car was full of noise and laughing and energy. On the way home 3 of the 4 boys were asleep. The sign of a successful trip! Ha.
Boys had fun swimming and playing ping pong/pool and going to the gym at the resort. I planted myself and enjoyed this view. It felt so good to sit and do nothing for a while. How often do we do that? Definitely not enough.
Made me so excited for warm weather and summer! This cute bikini top is on sale! It’s so comfortable and cute. I linked the bottoms I wore with it along with other favorites that I took on this trip. (Fits true to size – I’m wearing xs on top and a small bottom.)
2 – FRUIT BOWLS

I love this rattan fruit bowl! I’ve been keeping it full of cuties next to my art and smile seeing this little set up every morning.
I ordered this tiered fruit tray to keep in our pantry but it’s so pretty in person I’ve been leaving it out on the counter near my window! I love using fruit in fun bowls and trays to brighten up the kitchen. Especially in the spring/summer. This tiered tray would be pretty for hosting too! It could hold candy or desserts or toppings for a taco bar, etc.
3 – CUTE KEYS
I tossed my keys on the passenger seat in my car seat the other day driving and happened to have my little lemon coin purse out too. Just like my snack matching my art I had to stop and take a pic! Everyday moments can be so beautiful. :) Isn’t this little lemon fruit charm adorable!? I sent one to my mom too.. we both have a thing for lemons. It comes in a watermelon, cherries, orange, banana.. all adorable! You can add them to bags and keys. So fun. I’ve been using these cute lulu wristlets for keychains since they came out a couple of years ago and haven’t lost my keys since! SO handy. I keep my main credit cards in my phone case and the rest in these cute lulu pouches. Then I keep cash in my lemon coin pouch. All I need in my purse is what’s here and my little bag of lipgloss! I have been working on downsizing. Ha.
4 – EASTER BOOK/BASKET IDEAS
I mentioned this fun activity book for teens for Easter.. I ordered them for my kids last year and they were a hit so I ordered more for this year and a couple for cousins. It’s full of word searches, mazes, puzzles.. my kids have always loved stuff like this. Probably because I had them do these types of things so much when they were young and bored! The teacher in me would always direct them to a puzzle book. :) It’s a cute basket stuffer! If you need other basket ideas for teens I rounded up some fun ideas below in a folder for boys and one for girls although most items work for either! A lot of the items are on sale through this weekend too!
5 – AROUND THE HOUSE
A few snapshots around my house! This little round tray made such a cute addition! I’ve had it on a few shelves and it just adds a little something extra when you’re styling.
This is where my eucalyptus stems landed this spring! I shared another way to style them in
yesterday’s post. This vase is gorgeous! I’ve had it a while too and I think it sold out in this large size but it always comes back in stock. The smaller size is also beautiful!

I’ve had this little topiary for years now and it always adds such a cute touch of spring when I pull it out!

6 – LUNCH IDEAS
Ok.. sorry if the title of this one threw you off and you thought I was actually going to share good lunch ideas. Clearly my friends and I are in NO position to help on that.. ha! This recent text thread just made me laugh! When I answered that I ate popcorn and bacon for lunch (microwave bacon btw.. I’m not over here frying anything up) I didn’t expect my friends to be doing the same! Made me feel a little less guilty.
So enjoy a cookie, toast or some jelly beans on us this weekend! #momlunch I have a feeling we’ll all survive.
