So I had to add one more. :) This is the door to my new scrapbook room. They just installed it today!
And here is a peek of the room so far! YEA for built-ins! YEA for storage for supplies! YEA for no crib and napping baby in the room!
This room is really such a multipurpose room and one I will be sharing with the kids. It has many names!
Scrapbook Room
Mom’s office
Kid’s homework room
Art/craft room
Computer room
Anything messy that we want to leave up for a while will happen here! This room is located right off of the kitchen/family room. I wanted it close to the main living spaces so that I could be working and still see the kids, or so that they can be doing homework while I’m making dinner, etc. There will also be a table in the middle of the room that is still a work in progress. Next to having a real yard, I’m probably more excited about this space than anything else. I’ve been dreaming about it for 15 years or so. :) I’m still debating the wall color and color for the dutch door. Fun homework for this weekend.
Speaking of the weekend, I hope you all have a fabulous 4th of July! If you are traveling, be safe. This is the first year in a while that we will be staying put for the 4th. I will miss seeing family, but I’m looking forward to a BBQ with friends and a day with Kenny home from work. And some time to finalize paint colors before the painters start on Monday. Bonus. :)

Those built-ins look so nice! I’m jealous! Too bad you have to share them =) An aqua color would look nice on the walls to offset all the white, though I’m sure your arm will have to be twisted to paint something that color =)
Erin it is awesome…you will love having this so close to the kitchen…my kids spread homework everywhere on my kitchen table and it’s a pain to have them clean up every time before dinner. Even when Isaac comes home from college his computer is on my nice dining room table taking up space. And room for scrap booking-heaven! And the broken door of course-so cute. :)
This may end up being my favorite room in your house!! I would LOVE to have this room!
We have a Dutch Door on the kid’s playhouse. I love them too!
Amazing Erin! What a great family space. I LOVE dutch doors (pocket doors too). Would switch out several in our house if I could. Enjoy the holiday with the family. We are expecting even MORE rain, but I have to say everything is so green for once!

I know Sarah – that is what drives me crazy too. Art projects and homework all over the kitchen table and then you are pushing it all aside to eat. I wanted a space we could make a mess in and leave alone!

What an amazing space! I recently converted a bedroom into my office/scrapbook room/exercise room/extra storage room. I got tired of calling it one of those names and everyone in the household looking at me like I was talking crazy, so I decided to name the multi-purpose room, the “zen room”. Now, everyone knows what I am talking about and it has a great, peaceful ring to it!
Erin this is going to be awesome! So happy for you to have your own space and not sharing with a toddler anymore ;)

Wow, your room will be massive! I wish my craft room in the new house would be big enough to have a freestanding table, but I like working in the main areas of the house anyway, so I think I’ll be taking things out to the main room more than working in the craft room anyway. I’m thinking a kitchen bench on wheels could be fun in my space though! You rooms looks great… I love all the build in storage!
