AHHHH! Is it really time for my annual October Christmas post!? If you’re new here don’t worry! We’ll be back to all things pumpkins soon! Not rushing Fall around here.. we are enjoying every minute of it. But if you know me you know there are two things I love about as much as life itself. ORGANIZATION and CHRISTMAS DECOR! (I seriously feel giddy just typing those words.) So it’s no surprise that this post is one of my favorites! For years I’ve written an annual October blog post sharing little things I was doing early to get a jump start on the holiday season so that December didn’t feel so stressful. Finally a few years ago I created my Holiday Planner that includes all of that info. along with other planning printables! It has been a HUGE help to me during the holiday season and I hope that it’s helpful to you too! Just doing a few small things ahead of time makes all the difference when it comes to holiday stress. I love having a place to keep all of my holiday ideas/details/plans!
My planner includes printables to help with gift giving, party planning, meal planning, shopping and decor planning, calendar pages (vertical and horizontal), cute to-do lists and more! Use them all or pick and choose a few pages.. whatever is helpful!
This holiday planner is a gift from me to you again this season! Completely free for you to download and use when you sign up for my blog e-mail list HERE.
(If you are already a Sunny Side Up subscriber just enter your info. again to get the calendar.. it won’t add you twice! Also, if you sign up and don’t get an e-mail soon after, check your junk mail! Once in a while it lands there first.)
Now that holiday organization is taken care of.. let’s talk Christmas decor! Favorite items sell out fast and shipping delays are definitely a concern this year. I’m going to try to share decor/gift ideas a little early this year because of this. So many items are already backordered so don’t wait if you want something! I tried to order some holiday bedding last night for this year and it said it would arrive in January! Ha. I think I’ll pass and find something else thank you very much. :) Many of my tried and true Christmas decor favorites are back in stock but won’t last long! I’ve rounded up a few personal favorites along with collages of other cute items I’m seeing and loving so far this year. Let me know what’s on your wishlist!

{faux cedar garland/eucalyptus garland/brass candle holders/hanging bells/white ceramic vase/dough bowl}
First up.. my two favorite garlands are finally back in stock! (faux cedar garland & eucalyptus garland) I use them all over my home this time of year. They are so realistic! Amazing quality and they look beautiful combined together or on their own. I promise you they won’t last long! They sell out so quickly every year.
The faux cedar garland is thin so I layered a few together with the Eucalyptus garland for this look. (I used 5-6 but this mantel is huge. I would recommend 3 for a regular sized mantel – 2 faux cedar garlands with 1 eucalyptus). Bells are always a fun addition with garland too and I’ve included favorites below!
{similar plaid pillow/cable knit pillow/similar knit stockings}
Another fun mantel look with my faux cedar garland! My matching faux cedar wreath is back in stock too!
{faux potted cypress tree/faux cedar garland/faux cedar wreath/similar striped rug}
My favorite faux porch trees are also back in stock! LOVE these trees. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing them on my porch. If I do I’ll bring them inside to use! Have I mentioned before that my favorite color is green? ;)
1- eucalyptus mix garland 2- cedar pine garland 3- cedar garland 4- swag
5- eucalyptus garland 6- arborvitae garland 7- swag 8- hemlock pine garland
These are some beautiful and realistic garlands at different price points. I also found two swags that would be beautiful for Fall or Christmas decorating!
1- brass bells 2- gold metal rustic windchime 3- rustic cow bells
4- hanging bells 5- golden bells door hanger 6- rustic bell 7- gold jingle bells
Bring on the bells! I love using bells with my holiday decor! So beautiful at the end of the stairs, on the mantel, on the front door. They are a perfect accent! I have #4 and #5 and want to pick up a few of these other cute options.
{flocked long needle green pine tree}
Let’s talk trees! If you are looking for a beautiful flocked tree I can’t recommend this tree enough. I bought it for my bedroom last year and am absolutely in love! It’s just stunning in person!
{Pink Master Bedroom Christmas Decor}
This is a pic of it decorated. All things pink in my bedroom last year!
1- balsam flocked green pine tree 2- spruce tree
3- green fir tree 4- fir tree 5- flocked pine tree 6- faux fir tree
My bedroom tree is #5. I also have and love tree #1! I had it in my dining room last year and never got around to sharing it! Another beautiful flocked option. ANNND I bought another tree this year. This Norway 9 foot faux spruce tree from Mcgee and Co and if it looks anything like the picture of it I’ll be in tree heaven! I’ve been looking for a new tree for my family room for a couple of years and LOVE the look of this faux spruce. It’s a little wider than the tree I’ve been using so I’m crossing my fingers it works. If not I have a few other spots I can put it, but I really want it to work in my family room because that’s the room we are in the most. I rounded up a few other trees that look beautiful and so fun to decorate! Seriously can’t wait. How many trees are too many trees? #nevertoomany
Kenny doesn’t exactly agree with me on this one. Good thing I’m always right. ;)
1- spruce tree 2- bells 3- marble stocking holder 4- brass bell
5- wreath 6- gold beaded garland 7- distressed ornament 8- wooden beaded garland
A few other holiday favorites from Mcgee & Co! I have and love the marble stocking holders and ordered the gold beads to try this year. I also found these similar gold beads on Amazon to try too!
{pre-lit birch trees/faux snow/faux cedar garland/hicks pendant}
Remember my snowy village Christmas window? I can’t wait to set this up again.. it was the coziest! My pre-lit birch trees are back in stock! These are the medium and small size. I can’t find these exact houses on-line but I rounded up some beautiful white winter village options below.
1- C&B white ceramic houses 2- village houses 3- wondershop ceramic houses
4- ballard ceramic houses 5- village tealight candle holders 6- winter village box set
All so beautiful. These would be perfect for a window, mantel, on a console or entry table.. lots of options! I love decor that lights up at night. :)
My fa-la-la glitter banner is back again too! I’ve loved seeing this banner in so many of your homes through the years. Thanks too those of you who send pictures btw.. they always make my day!
Last year I added a small tree in my stair landing.
{similar cozy faux fur tree skirt}
I covered it in all white – ball ornaments, snowflakes and the cutest mini houses!
I got so many questions about my white house tree ornaments and they sold out so I rounded up some fun options below.
1 – galvanized houses 2 – wooden houses 3 – winter houses 4 – LED houses
Aren’t they all adorable!? So cute on any Christmas tree!
2020 family room tree! I never did get a star for the top of it. Which felt very 2020ish so I just rolled with it. Ha. ;)
My glitter star ornaments are back in stock this year and I’m planning on using them again. They are so beautiful! I also love these gold mercury glass ornaments. I kind of want to just re-create this tree.. maybe a few small changes. :)
1- doormat 2- tree set 3- faux potted cypress tree 4- wood bead garland
5- faux cypress wreath 6- snowflake cutout ornaments 7- star ornaments
8- tree collar 9- fa la la ornament 10- brass reindeer
Crate & Barrel has so many fun Christmas items out this year! I rounded up favorites and had to make two separate collages there were so many items I love! The wood beads are another item I love pulling out every year.
1- red plaid pillow 2- red pillow 3- flatware stocking 4- faux cypress stem
5- candles 6- green forest mug 7- green forest bowl
8- wood and marble boards 9- fringe throw blanket 10- knit ivory stocking
I have the cute flatware stockings. And aren’t the wood and marble boards adorable!? I have a hard time resisting a good cheese board. :)
{cable knit faux fur pillow/merry lumbar pillow}
Two of my favorite Christmas pillows are also back in stock! Beautiful staples that work year after year even as decor styles change. Ive had this merry pillow for over 6 years! Speaking of all things merry..
1- merry pillow 2- merry plates 3- merry sign 4- coasters 5- table runner
6- hand towel 7- bath mat 8- tea towels 9- stocking holders
I adore PB’s “merry” decor too much! I have a few of these items and couldn’t resist ordering a few more.
Last year I bought this beautiful velvet sherpa tree pillow for my bedroom and it sold out so quickly. I heard from many of you who loved it too so I’m thrilled they brought it back this year! I’ll have it in my bedroom again along with this fun Christmas Lane print. An easy, inexpensive way to update a space for the holidays/winter!
1- rug 2- juniper branch 3- sleigh bell towels 4- gold star ornament
5- knit stockings 6- red berry pine wreath 7- juniper & berry bundle
8- flameless candles 9- snowy pine trees 10- plaid pillow covers
My love for PB Christmas decor runs deep (as you all know) and these are a few favorites popping up on-line! This collage makes me want to pull out my trees and plaid pillows STAT! Can’t you just hear it? “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire..” I seriously wish December was 4 months long.
1- holiday tree mat 2- fa la la mat 3- stag doormat
4- happy holidays mat 5- merry and bright doormat 6- mistletoe doormat
Ok.. last Christmas decor collage! For today. ;) I couldn’t pick just one of these doormats to share. I also couldn’t pick just one of these doormats to order! I need more doors. That’s the only solution that makes sense.
Alright.. I better wrap this baby up! I could talk Christmas decor ALL DAY LONG but it’s getting late and there is a lot here to digest. :) I need to contain my excitement and head back to the pumpkin patch.
But good things are coming.
Chestnuts are roasting.. and good things are coming.
:)
Great round up, Erin. Thanks so much for the free planner and for the reminder that starting early is best. ;) I hope you have a fantastic holiday season!
Thank you Jeanne! Ho ho ho. ;) Enjoy your Sunday! xo
This is my FAVORITE article of the year!! And not just by you, but by anyone!! Your style matches my style so well and we shop at most of the same places!! I am so excited each year to get started with my Christmas planning and this is a perfect companion to my own planner. Happy Holiday Planning Erin!!
YEA! You made my morning Andrea! Thank you! I’m so happy you like this post. Wish you lived closer.. sounds like the two of us need to hang out. :) Happy holiday planning to you and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Oh that makes me so happy to hear! YEA! Thank you for letting me know! So sweet of you. Nothing like a cozy home for the holidays. :) Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Beautiful post ! I really needed it on this rainy, thundery day here in Wisconsin. Go Pack !
So happy it lifted your spirits Eloise! Thank you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.. team Pack all the way! :)
Erin,
Let me be the FIRST to say FA-LA- LA- LA….. la!
THIS year! :-D
LOVE it all and ESPECIALLY HOW YOU put it together!
Keep decorating!
Sharon/New England
Oh I love you too much Sharon! Ho Ho Ho! Bring it on! :)
I love all your Xmas ideas! It’s never to soon to start planning for the holidays! One of your past posts you have a long gold tray with the prelit birch tree and a few other trees sitting next to your snowy village Xmas window on your counter. Can you tell me what size the gold tray is and what size the trees are?
Hi Katie! So happy you like my ideas.. thank you! Just can’t wait to decorate again. And yes! Never too soon to start planning! That gold tray is the larger PB size (34″) and the birch tree is the smallest size offered (16 in). I can’t remember the size of the smaller trees.. probably 9 or 10 inches. :)
I ordered the faux garland from Anthro last year per your recommendation and it was fabulous!! I ordered them for my stairway. Thank you so much for the heads up. I needed one more!
Yea! So happy that was helpful Kathy. Isn’t it the most beautiful, realistic garland!? I’m slightly obsessed! :)
This a a great post and just in time for picking up a few things for the holidays! I ordered some stuff straight from my phone when I was walking from dog and reading (lol). Then I came straight home to comb over this post and get a “few” more things. Thank you for the free holiday printable. I can’t wait to decorate for the holidays!! Have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much Tyra! I’m so happy you like the holiday planner and found some cute ideas! Happy holidays and enjoy your day too! xo
The kitchen window display is beautiful! So sad that you can’t find the houses. Would you mind sharing rough dimensions? My kitchen window is very similar with the bump out and three windows and I would love to imitate your design.
Hi Denise! Sorry I’m just getting back to you on this! My bay window is 2 feet deep and 5 feet long. I would love to see a pic if you re-create it! :)
