Can you believe we are close to ending October!? This time of year always goes by too quickly! I started setting up Christmas trees (eek!) and a few other holiday favorites are starting to appear. Tis the season! Between holiday decor and time spent with family and friends November and December are my favorite. I ordered this green dress and a few others for all of the holiday parties we are going to attend. Save the dates are rolling in and I don’t want to be stressed about what to wear. Isn’t it beautiful!?
{ruffle hem a-line dress/similar boots}
Lighting is weird in this pic because I wore it to a dinner in the evening so this was taken late in the afternoon, but it’s a beautiful forest green. (I ordered the dark green and there is also an army green.) It comes in even more colors (like 27!) including a pretty burgundy and beige that would also be beautiful for the holidays! I love wearing forest green this time of year.
And the rest of the year too. :)
I’m sharing a few other cute Walmart finds today and this wrap maxi dress is another favorite! Seriously so beautiful. From the fit to the ruffles to the color. It’s so flattering and feminine. 10 out of 10 for me! I’m normally an xs but they only had an xxs or a small so I ordered both to try and the small fit perfect so I would size up one size for this dress. I wore it to church Sunday and got so many compliments! I think this shade of blue looks great on everyone. It also comes in a burgundy that would be beautiful for Fall family pictures or holiday parties.
{floral ruffle mini dress/similar boots}
This is another cute dress! I love the floral pattern. A little on the short side for me (didn’t notice it was a “mini” when I ordered it .. ha) so I will probably give this one to my girls, but a cute option if you like short dresses or have teens.
{zip up flap pocket bomber jacket/velour jogger pants}
This lightweight bomber jacket is so up my alley! I love clothes like this. Comfortable and a little sporty. I paired it with these cozy velour jogger pants. They are so soft and warm!
Love that they have the stripe going down the side. Are we coordinating or what!? ;)
{velour sweatshirt/velour jogger pants}
I couldn’t resist ordering the velour sweatshirt too. It’s just as soft as the pants. So comfy to slip on when it’s chilly outside. Our temps are getting cooler and it makes my day to be wearing stuff like this again!
{faux suede cropped moto jacket}
Another cute jacket I’m loving for Fall! This moto jacket is darling. I couldn’t decide what color to get so I got this light khaki and also the green. Seriously keeping them both! I got this in my regular size and it fits the best (xs).
This will be nice to have one size up if I want to wear it over a thicker sweater. Comes in other colors too! I love the gold buttons.
I also ordered this cute denim trenchcoat jacket. Perfect for Fall! I threw it on over my workout clothes the other day to run errands and instantly looked put together. Another keeper! Walmart for the win! :)
And last for today this cute square neck smocked top. It’s such a beautiful blue and I love the floral print! I don’t love showing my stomach but most of my jeans are high waisted so it works great. Would be really cute for a teen girl too! I have no doubt I’ll be sharing this one. :)
A little life update so that I have these moments documented. :) Last week was eventful because Addison finally got her braces off. She had an early morning appointment before school so I took her after to get her favorite pink drink from “Starbies” as my girls call it. :) I can’t believe how much older she instantly looked without them!
It was pajama day at her school so between that, braces off and a pink drink she was one happy girl. :)
Then Friday was “senior night” at Ellie’s high school. Cue the tears! I was emotional all day just thinking about it! At the football game they had all of the football players, cheerleaders and dance team girls walk on the field one at a time and meet their families. They gave the moms roses and took a picture. Ad wasn’t able to come because she’s sophomore class pres and was helping with her high school’s Homecoming dance that night. (My girls go to two different high schools.. they don’t like to make life easy for their parents.) ;) But the rest of us were there and I was proud of myself for not crying all evening too. I was fine once I got to the game with friends, but I can tell this year with all of the “last time senior stuff” is going to be rough on me. I’m just not ready for El to move out! Time to order a few more boxes of tissues..
And what’s Kole up to? Oh boy. I’m in trouble with this little ladies man. Ha. Kole’s living the good life adored by all of the beautiful teen girls his sisters are friends with.
Please time slow down. I’m not ready for El to move out and for Ad to look so grown up and for Kole to be any older than he already is. He’s keeping me on my toes enough at just 11 years old.
;)

p.s. LOTS of holiday decor is coming. :)
You look stunning in those dresses!
You are the sweetest Kathy! Made my day. :) Thank you! xo
Oh Erin! You look fantastic in the clothes you found! Those dresses are lovely. And the smocked top looked fabulous on you! Even in your “comfy” clothes you look so put together! :) Congrats to Addie for getting her braces off. She definitely takes after her mom in the smile dept. You two could be twins! Her smile is radiant. I’m guessing some of that is due to a sunny personality, too. Your girls sure are go-getters. I definitely hear you about all the lasts. It’s hard to believe how grown up your girls are. I remember thinking that when my older daughter had her senior year. (My younger one missed out on a lot of those events/milestones last year). It seems like just yesterday when they were little and now they are ready to fly off. You are such a loving and supportive mama, it’s a mixed bag of everything. You are so proud and also so nervous! I feel for you big time. I can say it’s definitely a bit nervewracking having one living on campus, spreading those wings. But, so far, so good. You can do it, mama! Big hugs and lots of support coming your way.
Thank you so much Jeanne! You are so incredibly kind. Ad and I hear that a lot. It was funny.. I was at her school the other day and so many of her friends were dying over how much we look alike. I think it’s the hair too! :) I know you just went through all of this senior stuff! It’s such an exciting time but I keep feeling that sting of knowing the moving out is coming. Where did the time even go!? I’m sure it is nerve-racking having one spreading wings for the first time.. I’m going to be reaching out to you for all the tips! You are an amazing mom Jeanne and your girls are so lucky to have you! Thank you so much for the hugs and support! :) xo
What is the size on the first green dress? its adorable
Thank you so much Kelly! I’m wearing xs! It’s true to size.. SO adorable! I’m tempted to get it in another color. :)
Hi, Erin! Thank you for writing this post. I was in need of a special occasion dress and the green one from Walmart should work wonderfully.
You have a beautiful family. (and blog!)
Sincerely,
Sydney Fry Ridder
Sydney that makes my day! I’m so happy you got that dress.. I love it! Such a thoughtful comment. It means a lot to me. :) Thank you and enjoy the holiday season! xo
Where did you find the thinner garland in your first photo on the mantle? Works so well with a tv over the mantle!
Hi Meagan! That’s my faux cedar garland I’m always talking about (sometimes I double it up) but it sold out! This garland is really similar..

Erin,
My year has been so crazy following my LO’s surgery, I hadn’t read blogs or watched many Vlogs in so long. I was up MOTN and checked on your blog and it was so nice to read – it reminds me of when my kids were small and I would read your blog during nap or after wake ups. It made me wonder where time went. Then I come back today and see this post and – I just cannot believe she is a senior. I remember reading when the girls were so small. Where does time go???
And the braces coming off make Ad looks so much older. PJ day is the best day. Lol
Do they allow school choice where you are? My state the h.s. is determined by your address.
Love the outfits. Hope you have a happy new year!
So fun hearing from you JC! Oh my word.. time is just flying by isn’t it!? I can’t believe El is a senior either! Schools are determined by address here but there are a few different options in our zone. One school focuses more on the arts and that’s the school Ad is at. She does a lot of theatre and singing so it was the best place for her. Happiest New Year to you too! Thanks for checking in again. :) xo
