Happy Thanksgiving week! I’m sending safe travel wishes your way if you are traveling! This past week was so busy so I’m going to be playing catch up.. I have so much to share! I had my holiday party Wednesday night. I decided to throw it early this year because our December was already looking full in October (this time of year is crazy isn’t it!?) plus I thought having my party before Thanksgiving would give me a deadline and force me to get my Christmas decor up quickly! Well.. it worked. But wow.. many nights last week I was up until 3 am to get it all done. It’s one thing to have the house decorated. It’s another thing to have the house decorated with all bins and boxes put away and everything clean and party ready! I didn’t really take that into account.. ha. But it all got done and you can tell from the picture above that the party was a success. ;) It was both a Thanksgiving and Christmas party and I will share details on how I pulled that off soon!
For now I’m kicking off the week with my green Merry Christmas porch!
{faux cypress tree/feathery pine trees/black metal lanterns}
Very similar to last year’s porch because I just can’t quit my trees! They make me so happy.. all that green. :) The feathery pine trees are all throughout the inside of my house again too. They are perfect for a console table, mantel, corner of a room. I’m thrilled they are still in stock!
{gold beaded garland/similar gold beaded garland/gold mercury ornaments/similar black bells}
I added a few ornaments to my long time favorite faux cypress trees… simple gold ornaments that I also used on my living room tree and little black bells. I’m thinking I’ll add some twinkle lights too!
{faux cypress door swag/similar bells}
I mixed up my door a little this year with this fun faux cypress door swag. I actually bought it thinking I would use it on the mirror over my family room mantel but held it up on my front door just to see how it looked and knew I found its new home! It has a loop on the back so I just used a black command hook to hang it. Then I added the bells (just looped them over the stem at the top). You could dress it up so many ways! Ribbon would be pretty too.
{black metal lanterns/jute rug/green fringe rug}
I usually just use my black metal lanterns on my porch for Halloween but I keept them out for Christmas too this year. They came out with these lanterns in a pretty gold also! Love these lanterns. I’ve had them for around 6 years now. One of those items that never date and always look good! I have real candles in them but I want to get these flamless pillar candles I use on my fireplace mantel. Then they will click on around 5 each night and I don’t have to worry about them starting my house on fire. Always a bonus. :) I used my same jute rug I’ve used all year and added a pop of green. Because never enough green around here!
{faux cedar garland/similar garland in stock here & here}
I used the same garland for my porch and added a Merry Christmas banner to tie in the gold. And to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. :)
This was my porch last year.. just a few simple changes! Same trees but different rugs and bells on the door instead of the swag.
Similar items but a new look! We are feeling festive around here. :)
{eileen coffee table/brass metal nesting tray – 26″/swift oval serving tray/lowell wooden tree candles/sisal bottle brush trees/driftwood bowl filler}
In other decor news.. when I recently shared my family room holiday decor I hadn’t really styled my coffee table. This is how it ended up and I’m obsessed with these trees! Anthro for the win. Every time. :) These bottle brush trees are beautiful and come in so many fun colors (I just stuck with neutrals to tie in with my Christmas tree). The wooden trees are actually candles.. so much fun to take the tops off and light them! Then I just added some driftwood bowl filler and greenery in my cute little oval serving tray.
A view from above. :) This brass metal nesting tray is huge! It comes in 3 sizes and this is the largest. The small size would be fun on a kitchen island. I love gold/brass trays.. especially during the holidays.
Anthro is having a huge HOME sale.. 30% off most of their home items including the trees above! So so good! It adds the discount in your on-line cart. This sale was just too good to not share. I rounded up some fun Antro gift ideas and holiday favorites below! Plus my favorite holiday candle.. the best this time of year. A close friend of mine just got a job at Anthro and honestly if I could work at one store that would probably be it! Well.. it’s tied with The Container Store. I could spend all day in both. What store would you choose to work in if you could just pick one? Or in my case.. two. ;)

You are amazing and oh so dedicated, Erin. Staying up til 3am multiple times? You are a stronger woman than I! It was worth it though, your porch and living room look amazing. Thank you for sharing. Oh my goodness, those tree candles are beyond fabulous! Way beyond my budget, unfortunately, but man are they pretty! Congratulations on a successful party. Hopefully now you can sit back and most relax and enjoy the season! Enjoy your sweet Ellie when she gets home. Hope she doesn’t have any travel woes. Happy Thanksgiving my friend. I’m thankful that you share all that you share and that we’ve become friends over the years! Your sunny personality is such an encouragement!
Thank you sweet Jeanne! So thoughtful of you. You always make my day with your kind comments! Wishing you and your sweet family the best Thanksgiving! I hope you get some time to relax too! xo
Erin,
LOVE it! ALL the decor. Gets better each year! Also LOVE that YOU had dirty dishes in the sink and on the counter ;) NEVER!!!!! I thought NEVER! NOT in Erins kitchen!
NOW I feel SO much more “peas in a pod” with you! I MAY have seen THIS before, but I do not remember it. In my minds eye there is ALWAYS this spotless, shining kitchen in your house! I agree, it is not the decorating that just gets you down and takes so much time. It is ALL the other stuff. Bins, boxes, bags,,,,
Little bits and pieces of this and that. Flocking on the floor………
Kinda like cooking! You never actually count in enough time for the cleanup. I always say it is not the cooking I ACTUALLY hate, it’s the MESS, the cleanup/pick up.
Please bring it on-your story of TWO holiday parties in ONE. Thanksgiving AND Christmas. Can’t wait!
Ha ha.. oh my word Sharon! I’ll have to show more “real life” pictures! There are ALWAYS dirty dishes in my sink! Never enough time for clean-up is right.. THAT is the real challenge. You should see my theatre room right now where I sort of shoved everything and shut the door! I’ve got my work cut out for me in that space. I’ll think about that next week. Ha. ;) Wishing you and your beautiful family a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’m so grateful for your friendship this year! xo
