Happy October! I hope your month is off to a good start! I am so behind on sharing things here on the blog. I can honestly say that September was one of the busiest months ever for me which was weird! It’s usually such a calm month before the holiday storm but this year not so much. All good things! I went on a quick weekend trip with Kenny for our anniversary, a quick weekend trip with girlfriends, a quick 3 day trip for a blog conference, 2 quick trips to LA – one for 3 days in Disneyland and another trip for a baseball game and somewhere in there I threw a fall party for our church. I’ve been gone more than I’ve been home and I am so looking forward to more time at home in October! I’m behind on housework, laundry, blogging.. LIFE. I’m behind on life.
Time to catch up. :)
Despite our crazy month I still managed to find time to do a little pumpkin washing with this one. Tradition is always a priority right? Especially this tradition.
We’ve been doing it too long to quit now. ;)

flameless pillar candles/similar jack-o-lanterns/bats/happy halloween garland}
Because I’ve been so short on time (and because I wanted to use my beloved lighted maple trees again!) I decorated my Halloween porch pretty much the same as last year with just a few minor changes. I used my black pots instead of baskets, added a few jack-o-lanterns, swapped my candles for these flameless pillar candles that click on with a timer so I don’t have to light them each night, AND I bought a cute new mat. I also added a couple of mums!
Night time view. This porch makes me happy. :)
Below are favorites and weekend sales and then below that I’m sharing a few pictures of the fall party I hosted! I’ll share pics of my other trips in future posts with all things holiday going on that are in progress around here. Love this time of year so much.

Victoria Emerson is doing a huge sale for just one more day! Select jewelry is on sale for only $20! Seriously so good. That’s more than half off most of these items. I got this bracelet and 2 rings at the LTK conference and love them! They are both part of the sale. I can’t believe this bracelet is just $20. It’s beautiful in person and looks much more expensive (it’s usually $38).
{among the stars ring/crossover x ring/haisley bracelet/dome ring/jane pave earrings/dainty scattered layered necklace}
You can see in this pic that the bracelet is all linked together so you put it on like it’s just one bracelet. I love this necklace and earrings too. Each just $20! These items would make beautiful Christmas gifts. I shared a few more on sale below. I think this sale ends at the end of the day Sunday so don’t wait if you want something!

Anthro is having a sale on certain furniture and candles and my favorite fall candle is on sale! I love burning this in the evening (smells so good!). It’s the same scent as the little pumpkin candle I bought this year.
Last year I used my candles to create this Thanksgiving tablescape. It looked so pretty lit up at night!

Here are a few pics from the fall party I hosted for our church! We have this fall friendship party in my backyard every year. It has become a fun tradition I always look forward to! Because I have been traveling so much and just busy in general this month I wasn’t as prepared for this as I usually am. Everything for this party was done pretty last minute and I was literally putting together decor while people were arriving.. ha! Happy we pulled it off. :)
Add a few white mini pumpkins around a vase of flowers for a quick fall centerpiece!
It was such a fun night!
This was my fall centerpiece that I got to enjoy for a couple of weeks after the party too. It took 5 minutes to throw together! Still love my acrylic vase so much. :)

So much beautiful inspiration here! Thank you for taking the time to share it all :)
Oh you are too kind.. thank you so much Jenni! Happy Sunday! xo
Whew! Such a whirlwind of a time for you, Erin. I’ll bet you weren’t sure if you were coming or going! Thank you for sharing what you have here. I’m amazed you got some pictures. ;) Everything looks fabulous. So cozy for fall. Long live the traditions you shared. They make life so fun and interesting. Now I hope you can take a breather for a few days and then gear up for the holidays!
Thank you so much Jeanne! Taking a breather for sure! For at least a day. ;) I hope you are doing well! Has the weather been nice in CO? It’s so beautiful in the fall! We are actually coming your way sometime this month to check out Boulder! Keep hearing it’s the number one collage town. :)
Erin,
So glad you are back (and on the blog!) safe and sound. I was just about to shut down (OK, is the laptop ACTUALLY EVER, REALLY shut down?? ;)
Then your blog post came thru and well, just had to read! Missed you! Get some rest now, Erin. You HAVE to keep the creative juices flowing!
We need you! I have been cleaning up my emails to create space and unsubscribing from things that I just delete (or forget to delete!) and never really read. Also, the stuff that annoys me. SOME are actually(annoying) blogs believe it or not. YOURS??? I will NEVER unsubscribe. Too much good stuff. Decor knowledge, products and fun and yes, friendship!
So glad you had a good time at the conference. With these things, you never know……
Post some pics of the girls trip and some of the blog conference! I am exhausted reading your schedule, yet I know you thrive on it! You are that fab. combo of homebody and extrovert! I am a MUCH “milder” version of that combo. Very MUCH milder tho….
Yea! The pumpkin washing! I was waiting for it!!!! It must ALWAYS go on! When Kole is married and perhaps living away, his wife will have to allow for a pumpkin washing trip! TOO CUTE! LOVE it!
Fall Porch is better than EVER!
So fun hearing from you this morning Sherri! You are just the sweetest and always bring a smile. :) THANK YOU for that! Your kind words about my blog mean so much to me. Grateful I’m not getting deleted! Ha ha.. although I do love a good clean out/edit. ;) I’ll definitely share pics of my other September adventures soon! I was going to try to squeeze it all in this post but I would have been up all night and you would have been reading all day and who has time for that. Ha. Happy October to you and your sweet family! It’s almost tree time! :) XO
I so enjoy your posts. Your decor always looks so nice! I would love to know if you could share your menu for your church fellowship. Everything looked amazing! :)
Oh thank you so much Pamela! So sweet of you. It was kind of just desserts and small snacks! Pumpkin cupcakes and pumpkin cheesecake with graham crackers and a few other snacks with fruit! :)
