So the whole sharing a scrap space with Kole in his nursery isn’t working out so hot these days. The best time to work on the kids’ albums is when he’s asleep. And when he’s asleep, I can’t use the room. The picture above shows what our kitchen table has looked like on and off over the last two weeks. I may have driven my family crazy with requests to eat dinner on the floor, but the job needed to be done! I now have both of the girls’ albums caught up to Kole’s birth. Feeling pretty good about that.
Here are a few pages in Addison’s book I had to go back and finish from the summer of 09’…
I had so many pictures from this particular trip to Disneyland so I used a lot of collages I had put together in Picasa when I posted about the trip on my blog. Blogging has made this whole process so easy. My favorite pics have already been chosen, edited, and are ready to print.
More layouts where I’ve incorporated traditional scrapbook pages…
For these Valentine pages I also included the hearts Addie put up on the door saying all the things she loves about her daddy. She couldn’t write at the time so I wrote them and she signed her letter “A” at the bottom of each heart.
OMG Erinthey look so good, I am feeling rather bad now. I really need to get upto date. I have only done up to the beginning of Feb 2010 oops oh and I only started Jan2010. I have since bought 2 more of the newer albums. I love how you are doing htem for the kids. I am wondering how I wnat ot do mine.
Your albums are beautiful! I HAVE to get caught up!!

Wow! These are adorable!
I’m curious as to what page protectors you use, and if you print off whole pages or actual pictures / colages? Or do you have them printed off somewhere else?
Maybe you have answered these before, I just found your blog yesterday and am having so much fun reading your archives:-)
Look at you getting it done. I know that has to be such a good feeling. You are creating something to priceless for your babies. All of the pages have such great detail!
I made it a goal earlier this year to get caught up on my scrapbooking so thank you for the inspiration!
Many Blessings,
Melissa
So beautifully inspiring.
These are great! So inspiring! If you get this much done on your kitchen table, just wait until you get into that new home with your OWN scrapbook/craft room! You’ll be tearing it up!
Erin, you could do this for a living. This and organizing. Amazing. These are priceless albums that your girls will treasure when they get older.
Once upon a time, I too, had been involved in scrapbooking. But I don’t have the discipline and patience to get everything. unlike you who is about to finish its 3rd or 4th scrapbook. They are beautiful!
you are doing great! i am trying really hard to get caught up as well, but as i am getting caught up. this year is getting behind. i don’t like that at all!
one quick question…where did you find the cute sewing edge for that one collage picture…it is super cute!
WOW, that’s a lot of work! it looks great! I think it’s great you are doing one for each of your children.
Erin, I just have to say I’m so jealous that you’re caught up. (And yes I do consider you caught up) I’m caught up to my eight-year-old’s second birthday, yikes! I refused to start my daughters until I had my sons caught up to her birth, so I’ve never started my daughters :( and obviously never started the babies :( But, as usual, you have inspired me. I’m making a scrapbooking space in my laundry room and I’m determined to get caught up. But it is an overwhelming thought, wish me luck.
One of my goals is to organize my photos this year. Part of my problem is figuring out how. I really like the Project Life products you are using. Do you just order them online? Thank you for sharing.
Your layouts are outstanding! I love how beautifully they highlight the events.
Hi Kelly!
I print actual pictures and use the page protectors from the Project Life kits. You can learn all about these kits at http://www.beckyhiggins.com.
Hope that helps! :)
I am just starting to scrapbook about 14 years worth of life. I am slowly going through pictures to narrow it down to the “good” ones and I have them all in chronilogical order. My question is how do you keep track of the other stuff that goes with the pictures so when you scrapbook you have it all there. Like the notes for example and the clover. Thanks for sharing with us all.
I love this post!! You have inspired me to do something with my million pics. Have a wonderful day!
I know you can! They look great!!
You are doing great, Addie’s album looks darling! Mine don’t look near that good, since I am doing them with pics I printed before I implemented your brilliant idea of collaging 2 pics together. But it makes me even more anxious to get caught up now that I know what I am doing with them! And seeing those pics really makes me want to go to Disneyland with you guys again! Sigh. I guess I’ll have to settle for Maui this year. :)
Erin,
You know I love your blog —
so I gave you a blog award :)
Check out my latest post…
you are one of my seven!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Just saw a picture of your girls looking through one of the albums on Becky Higgins’ facebook page. Too cute!
