I was cleaning yesterday and walked into the living room to find this scene above. The girls snuck into my Christmas trunk and pulled out all the holiday “friends.” I was about to make them put everything away (after all – it is August!) but then thought…why not? What’s wrong with a little Christmas cheer to end the Summer and kick off Fall. And I have to admit that seeing this little kissing duo made me get a bit excited for Christmas myself. It also got me thinking…what holiday projects/gifts could I get a jump start on? Last year we were so busy with December activities that I felt stressed trying to fit everything in. I SWORE to myself (as I do every year) that I would start earlier the next year. So thanks girls. Thanks for the reminder that it’s never to early to get excited and thinking about Christmas. Even if it is August! Eggnog anyone?

Christmas in August?
xoxo, Erin
Good reminder, I guess. O why did I just get a headache?! Cute pics anyway. So no beach for you at Christmas time, I guess?
Hey, we used to have a Christmas in July party every year when I was a teenager. There’s something about those holidays that stirs up a different kind of great energy. My friend announced that she doesn’t care what anyone thinks, and that she’s started to put up Halloween.
How fun!!! Randy was all smiles on Sunday when I saw him at church and then I saw the tie he was wearing…. snowmen!!! I’m sure it made a few people smile!!! Sounds like our “kids” had the same idea!!!
My official holiday season kicks off Sept. 1st. Nothing is off limits after that date. I am counting down.
That is SO funny! Yesterday Pierson asked me if he could watch Rudolph! I remember last year when he and Madi saw the blog pics of your girls with the kissing duo, they loved them! I might have to get some this year. Where did you find them?
Christmas in August how fun. I tell Jeff all the time I think Christmas would be better in the summer, then there wouldn’t be the snow to deal with trying to visit family. I bet it Christmas is fun in San Diego. Good luck starting your Christmas projects. I need to do that too!
I never packed away the plastic nativity set from last year. In fact it is set up as a bath tub toy right now! Christmas cards? What to do this year?
I am one to put everything off until the last minute and then go crazy! Maybe this year I will start a little earlier. Thanks for the reminder, it will be here before we know it.
