1 – TARGET FINDS

Happy Saturday! YEA for the weekend. Lots to share in this week’s Saturday 6 so let’s jump right in with some recent Target finds! I went into Target for deodorant and cleaning supplies and came out with a wreath, summer serve ware, a utensil caddy and the cutest crossbody bags! I mean.. do you blame me? All so good! And a lot more fun than deodorant. The bags look so much more expensive than they are! They are so soft and I love the woven look. Cute for gifts too.

2 – RECENT FAVORITES

{Scallop Marble Board}

This scallop marble board is adorable and makes such a cute gift! It comes with the little wooden knife so just add a thank you note and you are set. It would be perfect in a kitchen or bathroom holding soap or kitchen essentials. I love the scallop edge! I shared lots of gift ideas in this blog post if you missed it! I also have fun gifts rounded up in my Amazon folder HERE. We have a few May birthdays in our family so add that to Mother’s Day and teachers/graduation.. it’s a busy month for gift giving!

{Egg Spatula}

I’ve shared this egg spatula before that’s perfect for scrambling eggs. I’m sharing it again because I pretty much use it to cook everything. Ha. Why? It’s easy to use and most importantly..

it keeps the counter clean. :) On sale at the moment and definitely a favorite!

3 – POTS/PLANTS

I found the best planters for my little faux olive tree! They come in a set of 3 and are such a good deal (on sale right now too!). Great quality and they come in a concrete version also that I love. I’m using the largest size for my tree and the smaller sizes on my porch or in the back yard (still need to see where they look best!).

I found these eucalyptus shrubs on-line and love how realistic they look for outdoor plants! They come in a set of 8 in lots of color options. I’m loving the white.

I just set these quickly in the small pot (didn’t even style them) and look how good they look! They work in the medium size too.. I’ll just need to set some filler in the bottom to keep them the right height. I’ll share where they land as soon as I figure that out myself. :)

4 – FASHION FAVORITES

Sharing a few cute things I’ve been wearing lately! Give me all the stripes! Again. Never enough. :) This top is from Amazon and is so cute! It has a dressy vibe and would be cute with a skirt too. My beloved Collette copped pants work well with everything! Hands down my most worn pants in the summer. These oversized cropped crews are one of my favorites from Lululemon! I have several colors and couldn’t resist this cute new stipped version. Love the style, length and fit of these. I wear them a lot over my workout clothes too!

This is one of the solid cropped crews I have and love! These are buttery soft and so comfortable. Great for over workout clothes or casual with jeans/shorts.

I wanted to share these jeans  too because they are selling out so fast! LOVE them. They are flattering, comfortable and such a cute style! A little too long on me (nothing new there) so I’m trying to decide if I want to take some scissors to them and raise them just a little closer to my ankle OR just wear them long. Either way they are keepers and I would definitely recommend them.. 10/10!

5 – BAGS/LIP GLOSS

Antho has a few other things on major sale this weekend for Mother’s Day including my two recent favorite bags! You can’t go wrong with either of these.. I have loved them. I use the larger size every day that holds all the things and then the smaller size on weekend date nights. My wristlet holds my keys, a couple credit cards, license and lip gloss so I can just grab it and toss it in another purse when I want to mix things up! Here are a few other Anthro favorites that are on major sale..

{Extra Plump Hydrating Lip Gloss}

I’ve been on a lipgloss kick lately trying different options and real love this one. It makes your lips a little fuller (not really plumped, just full) and is such a pretty gloss. I like this bare pink that is a clear gloss but it comes in lots of shades! I wear it alone and over lipstick. Current favorite. :)

6 – ORGANIZED HATS/CUPBOARD

Ok.. we can’t finish this post without a little organization! My closet is so close to being DONE! My side actually is done.. I just need to finish a few things on my husband’s side. This week I tackled his cupboard/shelves and organized all of his hats!

This took all of 5 minutes to set his hats in place.. genius! They were in his office on hooks but he wanted them back in our closet. Perfect solution!

Two organizers held everything and if he gets more hats I’ll just order one more.

How many SD Padres hats does one man need? Apparently a lot. Ha.

I can’t say anything. I have too many purses. ;)

{Linen Bins / Acrylic Hat Organizers}

I set his hats on the bottom shelf and used the linen bins I used on my side to hold other miscellaneous items. Love them. I’ll spare you the “before” of this cupboard.. just picture it being so stuffed with clothes and other random items that I could hardly open it! Donating a lot and it feels so good to have less in this space!

{CLOSET ORGANIZATION FAVORITES}

It also feels amazing to have these two cupboards clean after living with them messy for years! Such a win. Organizing makes me so HAPPY. So do weekends!

{Shoe Organizer}

Happy May! I hope you’re surviving. Actually I hope you’re thriving! I’m hit and miss between the two depending on the day. ;)  Sharing a few fun shoe solutions with you! I’m wrapping up my closet organization with just a few loose ends and it has been bothering me that when I organized my shoes I didn’t make room for all of my sneakers. Most of them have been crowded in my mudroom drawer and I really just wanted that space to be for the shoes I exercise in so.. I did a little searching and came up with a fun solution! Meet my new shoe organizer! Perfection right!? The inserts are velcro so you can adjust them to be any size. I’m using it to hold all of my sandals/slides!

I added a couple pairs of sneakers to the top left just to show you how it looks with wider shoes too.. anything works!

This is perfect for seasonal shoe storage. Fill it full of sandals and keep it in your closet in the summer and then slide it under your bed in the winter when you aren’t wearing sandals for a while!

It has handles on the front so it’s easy to carry..

and a clear cover. It comes in a set of 2 which I loved because I’m using the other one (and maybe buying more) for my girls college dorms! I’m going to see if something like this would work under their beds but if not it will at least come in handy when it’s time to move clothes/shoes this summer.

I had to laugh.. went to slide this under my bed to take a picture and I have a metal bar in the way! So I guess I’ll be storing this under the bed in our guest room if I ever move it out of my closet. Ha. I actually think it will always live in my closet because we wear sandals all year here so I’m not too worried about it! But a great solution to store under MOST beds. ;)

{Shoe Stacker}

Ok.. another great solution I’m excited about. Have you seen these shoe stackers?

They adjust to multiple heights so you can use them for taller heels/shoes too. Genius! The only thing you need is vertical height and most of my shelves are too short to use them with tall shoes.

Happy I was able to make it work on my top shelf with sneakers!

I have them spread out a little but if I buy a new pair..

I can squeeze them together tighter for more room! Let’s go shopping. Kidding!

I only had room to use them on Kenny’s top shelf too but even that saved so much space. The way I place his shoes is another solution if you’re tight on shoe space. Do you think my husband has enough Vans? Clearly I’m not the only person in our house who loves shoes!

1 – VASE/TULIPS

Happy Saturday! It’s still April but May madness is hitting hard at our house. Yours too? Hold on tight if you have kids in school! It aways amazes me how quickly it gets busy with all of the school activities picking up. And then winding down! I’m kicking off Saturday 6 with this beautiful ruffle vase! I’m pretty excited about it because I’ve had my eye on it at a more expensive store/price and it was backordered. I found the same vase on Amazon for less and it came so fast and it’s gorgeous! More of a sage green color than it looks on-line and perfect for real or faux tulips! They just drape off all of the ruffles so beautifully. Spring/summer perfection. :)

2 – BATHROOM ORGANIZATION

El’s vanity makeover from last week led to a full clean out of my girls’ bathroom. It was in desperate need of a little love! Especially this spot under Ad’s sink. Why are pencils in this cupboard? I stopped even asking questions like that a long time ago. Ha.

BIG improvement in little time. I love makeovers like that.

These jars  are perfect to hold elastics/scrunchies. I’ve had them for a while in a different drawer and they have worked well for the girls when they remember to put everything back in them!

I ordered this makeup palette organizer to hold extras (note to self.. girls have more than enough eyeshadow).

I also ordered this under the sink organizer to add a little vertical storage.

If I would have had room I would have used the clear lazy susan that I have under my bathroom sink because it holds a lot more, but it was too wide to still fit make-up and elastics.

These clear drawers are another great option for under the bathroom sink!

3 – CAR ORGANIZATION

I also gave my car a good clean out this week! And then I rounded up my favorites for car organization here. I’m having so much fun setting up Amazon folders with all of the items we use/love! As you know, categorizing like items has always been a favorite past time of mine. ;)

These are a few new things I’ve been loving in my car! The only one I haven’t used is the other option for a trunk organizer. If you are driving lots of kids to activities it looks like such a good option that hangs over the backseat! I love the spot for water bottles too. :)

4 – SPRING TOPS

On to some fashion.. loving this pretty top lately!

I wore it to lunch this week with friends.. we met with a big group but the 4 of us ended up lingering longer and had a good talk/cry together. We’re all very much in our feelings about our kids graduating and moving out. We raised our kids together from park time with toddlers to now. It seems so surreal that we’re at this stage!

They were the cutest little friends!

And still are today. :) They went to a dance together last spring and had the best time.

See why we’re all crying over here!? Someone send me a box of tissues!

I snapped this pic quick with my phone and the lighting isn’t great but I wanted to give you an idea of what this cute faux tree looks like! I’m going to find a better pot for it that will add more height and I still need to fix the branches, but isn’t it cute and so realistic!? Perfect for a cozy corner in any room!

Happy Saturday! Sharing a few things going on around here today! Pics from a recent trip, lots of organizing, a book I’m loving and more. Feels good to be home! :)

1 – ZION

Sharing a few pics from my quick weekend in Zion National Park! I grew up in southern Utah about an hour away from Zion National Park and we spent lots of time here. If you’ve never been before definitely put it on your bucket list! It’s absolutely beautiful (especially in the spring when the weather isn’t too hot!).

Met my childhood/highschool besties for our annual girls trip! I could only fit in a weekend but something is always better than nothing and it was so fun spending time with these girls again! Love them.

Zion National Park is full of so many beautiful hikes! They remind me of my childhood. :)

Aside from hiking and eating we also spent some time at the spa.. so heavenly! I loved my facial and that chair was so comfortable I never wanted to leave it!

We stayed up chatting and laughing until we couldn’t keep our eyes open one more minute! Nothing like time with close friends. I’m so grateful I was able to get away to see them all again!

I also got to sneak in a day with my cute parents. Fun fact.. they met and fell in love at Zion National Park! They both worked summers there. Knowing that has always made me love the park even more.

When I got to my parents my mom had this on my bed. Stocked for another few months.. thanks mom! My beloved Cherry Ice Chapstick is always waiting on a pillow for me when I come home. :)

2 – ORGANIZED MAKEUP

After almost two weeks of traveling between college tours and my girls trip I came home feeling ready to scrub my house from top to bottom! So many spaces feel cluttered around here because we have just been busy. Ellie’s desk in her bedroom has been driving me crazy for months but she has been too busy to clean it so I just took charge a few days ago!

She has had these new brushes for months and we were waiting to open them when we got her vanity area cleaned.. they are my girls’ favorites for makeup!

I dumped everything from her desktop and drawers on her floor on a towel and started sorting! Then I organized all of her makeup in this fun organizer.

3 – ORGANIZED JEWELRY

{Jewelry Organizer}

While I made major progress, her vanity makeover wasn’t quite complete! Today I tackled her jewelry. She has this cute jewelry box that she will take to her college apartment in the fall.

El especially loves earrings and this has been a great spot for them with so many drawers to hold them all.

But because she has been busy jewelry was popping up everywhere.. in bathroom drawers and on nightstands. I consolidated it all in this drawer and then ordered this set of jewelry trays because I want her to have a place to keep jewelry when she’s home.

Such a fun project!

Her desk is small so I could only fit 4 trays but it was just enough to hold everything. I was also able to fit a few longer eyeshadow palettes on the side. Thinking I’ll use those other 4 trays in my bathroom and do the same! I love this set up.

Now this will be such a great spot for her to get ready!

Angels are happy and so is El and so am I. :)

Felt so good to get that done! Addison saw it and now wants me to do the same in her room with her desk so that’s my thank you.. more work! Ha! Good thing it’s fun work I love. Bring it on. ;)

4 – HEART TALK

{Heart Talk}

We did a little favorite things party on my girls trip and each brought something we love to share with everyone. I bought each of them my favorite make-up bag so we can all travel in style. ;) My friend Angie brought is each this Heart Talk book and I’m LOVING IT! Have you read it!?

It’s full of little bits of wisdom and motivation and advice. You can read it all at once or a page a day.

I’m half way through it and it’s just so inspiring! I love that I feel like I can highlight and mark it up as I read it too. She wrote it in a way that it’s easy to add your own thoughts/notes.

I think it makes such a thoughtful gift too and plan on giving it to friends. It would be perfect for Mother’s Day!

5 – OLIVE TREE

I ordered this cute faux olive tree I share a few weeks ago and it arrived and I’m in love! It’s so beautiful and perfect in the corner of my family room! I wanted to take a pic to share but ran out of time so coming soon. I’m looking for a larger pot to put it in at the moment and will share it soon but 10/10 if you are debating it!

6 – AMAZON STOREFRONT

I’ve been working on setting up a place for all of my Amazon favorites to live (something I’ve wanted to do for years!) and am off to a good start! You can see my main storefront below. It includes folders I’m slowly setting up of all of the items we use/love for decor and organization along with fashion and sale items I’m loving. I hope this is helpful! What a week! We’ve had a lot going on with the kids and travel lately but I’m home and planted for a while and have the itch to spring clean every corner of my house! I sat down today and made a list. It’s ambitious to say the least.. ha. My garage especially needs some attention! I need a little motivation to start this weekend so I rounded up pics of a few organized drawers around here. Drawers are always my go-to when I’m feeling overwhelmed! You can spend 15-20 minutes cleaning out a drawer and get a quick win that feels so good and motivates more organizing. If you feel overwhelmed or don’t know where to begin just pull out a drawer and start sorting. Forward motion spurs on more forward motion! Below are favorite organizers for drawers in our home that make me happy and remind me that while there is still a lot to do, some areas of our home are organized and functioning quite well. ;)
