I combined two garlands on the shelf over my oven and I’m so excited about how they look together! The cedar and pine are such a beautiful combo! I’m in love. This is the snowy cedar garland and it’s definitely messy going up! But once it’s in place the flocking stays in place! If you don’t want the initial mess the cedar garland without the snow would give you the same look.
So pretty right!? I love the way the pine garland hangs in-between the cedar. Holiday perfection!
This wreath is an old favorite (I’ll link similar options below!) and the cute tree board is too. It always feels like Christmas in the kitchen as soon as my white tree board makes an appearance. :)
These two candles are my favorite this season! I love them so much and picked up a couple extra of each for gifts. So pretty and they both smell AMAZING.
I wanted to do something fun with my gold metal tray I always keep in my kitchen so I cleared it off and pulled out a few holiday favorites! I laid this pretty faux eucalyptus swag on the tray and then just layered candles and trees in-between. So easy! (I linked other swag options below.. they make decorating trays so simple!)
It’s beautiful.. especially at night! Remote candles of course so I don’t need to worry about burning my house down. I worry about that enough with my cooking. ;) And yes.. I take the wreath down when I cook! Safety first.
Just a few small touches but we are off to a good start in this space! My nails are green from all of the garland I’ve been hanging so I’d say we are off to a good start in most spaces. Ha. More to come soon! Michael is calling. :) Enjoy your Saturday!

Merry Christmas! Well.. not quite, but with my red and gold holiday porch decked and glowing things are feeling very merry around here. :) You can see that our Christmas lights are up too (yes, we’re that family) but I’m patiently waiting a little longer to turn them on!
At least one more day. ;)
I couldn’t wait on my porch though.. I was just so excited to decorate it this year! Last year I went with an all green holiday porch and while I am team green forever, I just missed that Christmas pop of red! So I brought it back. Just a little. It doesn’t take much red to make things really feel like the holidays, does it!?
I started decorating this porch with my leafy glam garland over the door (I used 3 total.. one on each side and then one more in the middle to add some fullness). Once that was up I knew I wanted to bring in more gold! Then I pulled out one of my cute pine Christmas trees (I bought one last year and loved it so much I bought another this year). I was planning on using them both inside but after I saw one on my porch I knew they were both about to be re-located! They are nice and slim and perfect for each side of my front door. Then I went on a hunt for some slim flocked trees to add some snow! (I have to get my holiday snow fix somehow.) These 3 down swept flocked trees are so cute! They come in 3 sizes (4, 5 and 6 feet) and in a non-flocked version too that you can see here in the 4 ft, 5 ft, and 6 ft. They are perfect to place together or use them in different spots. I would love them inside too!
On the right I have this stunning winter garden mix. I have debated buying this for a couple of years and finally did this year and I’m so excited about it! I always want holiday flowers on my porch this time of year, but with the constant shade on my porch combined with how busy the holidays are I never want to waist my money on real plants that I know won’t make it! Now I can use this year after year and it will always look stunning and never need to be watered. WINNING. It comes with all of the greenery in this big styrofoam base so the trick was finding the right planter for it.
I landed on this concrete round bowl planter on Amazon (best price and look I could find!) and placed a box inside to set it on so that my flowers would be the right height.
I had to place in on an angle to get it inside, but it worked!
I love this porch during the day but the best part is how it shines at night! Everything is set on a timer and lights up so beautifully. I need to take pics with my camera at some point but I snapped these quick tonight with my phone to show you. It’s just magical!
There is nothing like holiday lights! Just in time for the time change too! I never mind the nights getting dark earlier when I have my holiday lights up. BRING IT ON.
I hope you like my porch this year and I hope this gives you a few decorating ideas of your own! I’m so excited to welcome friends and family into our home this holiday season. Time spent with loved ones is the best gift of all and my favorite part of November/December.
Happy Saturday! I’m so excited to show you some of my Christmas decor this year! Coming very soon. :) In the meantime I have some fun gift ideas for you! I love getting most of my holiday shopping done in October and November so that I can enjoy December and take something off of my plate during such a busy month. I have been researching fun gift ideas for you and me both! So many of you have e-mailed me asking when I’m starting my gift guides so how about we start today? :) I’m honestly so happy that they are helpful. Quick reminder that I have these cute Fall gift tags in my printable library.
Along with these cute happy holiday tags too!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed with getting gifts for everyone on your list or just the holidays in general my holder planner is a great place to start your brain dumps! Get it all out of your head and on paper and you will instantly feel better. Promise! :)
I will have more gift ideas throughout the month but I thought it would be fun to kick things off today with a few gift collages by color! Why? I don’t really know. I started rounding up fun gifts from Nordstrom and before I knew it I was categorizing them that way. I’m tricky like that. Also green gets two collages because well.. you know if it’s green I’m going to love it. So there’s that. :)
I mean.. all so good right!? I love brown/tan. I ordered the North Face jacket in this color and will report back on it soon but it looks perfect for chilly weather! The purse is a favorite you saw in my last fashion post and you can never go wrong with a candle, Stanley or pjs.
Black is so classy! I love this star sweater (cute for the holidays!) and these leather gloves would make such a nice gift. I’ve given friends the cute jewelry case (it has an initial on the front in gold so you can personalize it! I always put a necklace or bracelet inside.) These packing cubes look so good for someone who loves to travel and I ordered these boot socks to try! Fun gift idea.. they have great reviews.
Ok. All things GREEN. Be still my heart! I’ll take one of everything. Isn’t the Vince Camuto coat stunning? Makes me wish I lived somewhere colder! The sequin sweater would be perfect for holiday parties and the favorite daughter sweatshirt is so cute for a favorite daughter! I’ll take two of those! Although my girls will both tell you that Kole is the favorite. ;)
See why I had to make TWO collages for green!? I want those rain boots! I have and love the throw and slippers and the plaid flannel pj pants hopped into my cart (they come in black and red too!). I’m debating ordering the weighted sleep mask. It looks like it might help with headaches!
I will share some fun teen gift ideas soon (including my kids’ favorites!) but here are a few Taylor gifts if anyone has a Swiftie in their house. Definitely popular gifts for tweens and teens this holiday season!
Wrapping up these fun gift ideas with this year’s Anthro holiday candles! Always a favorite. I just noticed that 5 out of 6 of the candles I love are green.
Happy November! I hope you all had a safe and happy Halloween! I felt a little like a Halloween Grinch this year.. ha. We didn’t dress up and missed Halloween parties because we had other previously scheduled plans! We’ll have to do better next year. ;)
We did manage to make it to my friend’s annual chili dinner on Halloween night! We used to all meet at her house and eat before we took the kids trick or treating but now most of us don’t have trick or treaters anymore. The kids were all off with their friends doing different things so we decided to have our own little party! Played such a fun game and the girls kicked butt per usual.
Next time boys!
Of course I woke up the day after Halloween ready to DECK THE HALLS! Ahhh! So excited it’s November! I have so many fun things to show you but everything is about 60-80% done right now. Ha. Nothing is finished but I’m getting there! I will say that the garlands I’m using this year are turning out so pretty! A few of my tried and trues and a couple of new garlands. I’ll link them all here and show you how they look soon! I started this family room mantel today and it’s almost done (looking much better than this pic). It’s the hardest spot for me to decorate because it’s so big.
Like I said.. everything is about 60% done around here and I haven’t even fixed the olive branches on this but I didn’t want to wait to share this cute olive tree because I’m so excited about it and it’s on sale! Perfect for any blank wall in your home or over a console table that’s against a wall. Isn’t it cute!? I’m not sure how long the sale will last or if it will sell out so I’m sharing it straight out of the box! You can check it out here and see how it looks when the leaves are fixed (on my to-do list tomorrow!). I might add some little ornaments? I have a few different ideas for it!
Ok.. on to some fall fashion! Sorry for the endless selfies in this post.. they have been building up and I just haven’t had time to share them. Now there are about 4 posts worth! But they are cute clothes (and some are on sale!) so I’ll try to keep the chit chat to a minimum. We do have garland to hang now don’t we!? ;) These two purses above have been recent favorites and I’m loving the boots with wide leg pants!
If you need a good long sleeve top for fall that’s perfect for layering look no further! I’m loving these so much I have one in each color. They are fitted but not tight, soft and comfortable and perfect to wear alone or with a vest or cardigan! They are a little long. Im wearing my true size above (xs) but ordered one size smaller to try in the black to see if it’s a little shorter in length. If you like longer tops stick with your true size.
Perfect to wear with my cute Amazon vest when it gets cooler! It’s barely starting to feel like fall in San Diego. It drops a few degrees in November (just in time for Christmas) and we all pull out our sweaters and vests and get so excited. 66 instead of 70 degrees.. we’ll take whatever change we can get! Ha.
I can’t stop wearing this jumpsuit! I bought it a couple of months ago and wear it at least twice a week. It’s so flattering and comfortable. And just cute! I’ve been wearing it with flip-flops if I’m running errands (like I said it really hasn’t been cold here until now).
Then I add heels to dress it up and wear it out to dinner! I’m sure there are so many fun shoes that would work but I’ve been liking neutral shoes the best with the wide leg and length. It looks cute with a long cardigan over it too!
This blouse is another recent favorite. It’s so pretty! Loose and flowy and I feel like it works for every season! Fall/holiday colors that make it perfect for this time of year but it also has a floral pattern that works in the spring and summer too. It’s cute casual like this with jeans and easy to dress up.
I’ve paired it a few times with these cute black faux leather pants. LOVE these pants! They are on sale and going fast! They are so flattering and cute that I bought them in both colors. I went with the standard length on these instead of petite because I knew I’d be wearing them with boots or heels.
If you are looking for a dressy lightweight blouse for work or a dressy event look no further! These pintuck popover tops are comfortable and such a great fit. Love the look! Tuck them in with a belt to really look put together. I prefer a messier tuck since I rarely need to be that dressed up, but if I do I will definitely tuck this in with a skirt! Love this green for the holidays.
Wearing the pants again here with this pretty puff sleeve sweater that just went on sale! It comes in other colors too and I love the sleeves. I’ve tried to wear it 3 times and keep taking it off mid day because it gets too hot, but finally wore it to dinner last week when it cooled off and it was so comfortable.
Ok.. you get it. I love these pants.. ha. I’m sharing them one last time because this tie blouse is so pretty! I bought it for the LTK conference too but never got a pic the day I wore it. It looks like a crop top on-line but it’s not that short on me. Just right and it would be cute with high waist pants too!
Are you still with me!? I know.. SO many selfies and we aren’t done. Popcorn anyone? :)
Love this casual sweater! It’s so cute and works great with sneakers. I have a feeling I will live in it this winter. Black stripes? I’m a forever fan. :)
Ok.. this sweater is a little pricey but when you try it on you will know why! It honesty feels like BUTTER. The softest material! It fits so perfectly and hangs just right. Soft and comfortable.. my favorite sweater of the season so far! It comes in white and black too.
I have been living in these pants this fall! They are such a cute fit. Baggy and casual, but still flattering. You can find them at Nordstrom or Madewell and sizes are selling fast. So cute with this polo tee but I’ve worn them with about every tee I own! A fun color for fall.
If you are looking for a comfy sweatshirt this is so soft! Comes in lots of colors and it’s a great price. It’s a baggy fit! Perfect for cold days when you just want to be comfortable.
And last (finally!) but not least I would definitely recommend this cute tee if you like a cropped look! It’s perfect to wear with high waist pants or joggers. So cute and it’s also on sale for a great price.
Whew! That was a LONG fashion haul. If you made it to the end with me I’m impressed! Get up and stretch your legs. I hope that gave you a few fun options for November! I’m so excited to finally wear ALL the sweaters. While I’m styling my garland. You too?
I hope you’ve had a good week so far! I’m sharing a fun sale that just lasts through today (but it’s a good one!) and a little life photo dump. Ok.. sale first! Wayfair has a huge sale going on for one more day and there are so many great deals! Lots of my personal favorites like the fields of gold print above are marked down.
Also my favorite red plaid rug that comes in so many sizes and this cedar garland that is over my door in this pic. Both are so good! Long time favorites and I’m using them both again this year. This porch is from 2 years ago. Last year I didn’t use my red plaid rug on my porch and I missed it! I pulled it back out today and am very excited to get working on my Christmas porch for this year. Enjoying the bats just a little bit longer. :)
My beloved flocked pine tree that I always put in my master bedroom is also on sale! Such a good price – it comes in 3 sizes and is so beautiful in person.
So are the large holiday ornaments I used to decorate it! They come in lots of colors and sell out every year. Below are more favorites on sale! I ordered this faux cedar wreath which I really don’t need with all the wreaths I’ve got going on at my house at the moment, but the price was too good to pass it up (and it looks beautiful!). Plus I have a fun idea for it.. stay tuned! My house is a hot mess right now. Christmas decorating is just messy isn’t it!? It will definitely feel good to have everything mostly decorated and the mess cleaned up! I say mostly because I’m usually decorating and “tweaking” things right up until Christmas Eve. Ha. I have a feeling some of you do the same. :)
Sharing a few pics on my phone I never got around to sharing last month! I mentioned a few posts back that I had been on a fun girls trip. Just a quick overnight at the hotel Del with a few friends. We loaded our bags and hit the road with our Diet Cokes! Always. :)
Stunning right!? We live so close and this trip was such a good reminder to get out and enjoy our surroundings more. Sometimes we think we have to travel far to get away but often a trip in your own city feels like a major break. If you’ve never been to Hotel Del Coronado add it to your bucket list the next time you are in San Diego! It’s a beautiful place to visit year round and the city itself is so much fun.
We were unloading our stuff and the guy at the hotel helping asked “where are you all from and how long are you staying?” Um.. 15 minutes away and one night. He kept pulling bags out and was looking at us like we were crazy. Ha ha. Mostly my fault I’m sure. I’m the worst over packer EVER! I like options when I travel. :)
We just enjoyed the pretty beach, went on a walk, did a little shopping and hung out! So relaxing and nice to take a break from our usual day to day.
We also ate. A lot. So many good restaurants in Coronado!
The homes are absolutely stunning too. That’s my favorite thing to do when I visit Coronado.. just drive or walk around and check out all of the beautiful homes! I took about 30 pics of charming houses.. couldn’t help myself.
So fun. I highly recommend mini trips like this with girlfriends! If you haven’t done something similar in a while it’s time! I’m so grateful for friends who just plan things like this and are persistent and make it happen. It’s never easy to get away but always worth it!
We came back on a Friday afternoon and Katy and I went straight to an Angels game our husband’s had planned. We were so tired from staying up late on our trip and felt like zombies but the boys were excited so we tried to regroup and keep the party going! Ha.
These two were living their best lives with the seats and little snack room we had.
So were these two! Our friends had these amazing seats and it definitely made the game exciting. We were chatting with the players while they were warming up!
It almost made me a baseball fan. ;)
Good times. I love recording the good stuff. Life is full of hard and difficult things too, but recording the good times and remembering them brings happiness, right!?
I’ve also heard that experts say people who decorate for Christmas early are happier people. (Seriously.. look it up!)
I mean.. just sayin.. ;)
So this is your invitation to go on a quick trip with friends, record the good stuff happening in your life and set up your Christmas tree!
It’s a new week! Time for a little catch up! I’ve missed you all. :) We are enjoying all of the October/Halloween things and prepping for all of the Nov/Dec holiday things! Watching a lot of football in-between too. We have also been enjoying movie nights in the theatre room and last week it was Kole’s turn to pick the movie. Nightmare Before Christmas.. again. 4 out of 5 of us might have ended up on our laptops during this one but still a good time. :)
I made this “Halloween Popcorn” when my girls were little. Just tossed together some things we had in our pantry for them and it was such a hit with the kids that now we make it every October.
We might be a little low key when it comes to Halloween, but Christmas is another story. BRING IT ON. NEVER TOO MUCH. Ha. ;) These are some Christmas wreaths I’m loving this year! How cute are the little oranges on this one!? After I took this pic I played around with the faux greenery and made it look more like the picture on-line and I love it even more!
The six wreaths above are all other favorites I’ve had my eye on (I have and love #5 and just forgot to photograph it!). A little more expensive, but they are all wreaths that will stand the test of time and be classic year after year!
Sharing a couple new Christmas trees I’m decorating with this year too. This cute Amazon tree caught my eye on-line about a month ago and I love it even more in person. I snapped this quick after I set it up on my porch Saturday.
I’m thinking of using it in this corner of my bedroom but I’m not sure yet.. playing musical trees with a few at the moment! I love the shape! The branches are lighter green on the ends which gives it a cool look and the lights are so pretty! A great tree for the price.
This slim tree from Target is another favorite. I bought this tree last year for my formal dining room but Addison and I decided we are going to put that one in her bedroom this year so I ordered the same tree again for my dining room.
I didn’t have time to really fix the branches but snapped this quick with my phone just to give you an idea of how it looks. I’ll share better pics soon but I’m very happy with both if you are looking for a smaller tree this year!
Ok.. if you follow me on IG I shared this last week. I could not love this more! It’s absolutely stunning.. especially all lit up at night! I bought this assorted neutral version and then it immediately went out of stock. But now it’s back! It comes in a blue/green version too and I also found this cute flocked version from PB. Bottle brush trees are so much fun this time of year!
My recent Target order came in and I love so many things! Sharing the keepers here. (I always return a few things and only share the items I’m keeping and really love!) A pretty round gold tray is another holiday staple for me and if you can snag this when it’s in stock it’s such a pretty tray. I usually have a gold round tray on my kitchen island or coffee table to display a few trees or some pretty branches in a vase.
These gold deer are so cute! Perfect to set on a stack of books or next to a pretty holiday arrangement or even on a Christmas tablescape next to some candles.
Speaking of candles.. aren’t these candle holders gorgeous!? I love the ribbed glass and the gold tone rim. Absolutely stunning for any table this holiday season! 10/10 for the price. They look more expensive than they actually are and as soon as they came in I immediately ordered another large candle holder. I’ll show you how I’m using them soon!
I’m trying to not go crazy with Target Christmas pillows this year (I definitely have enough around here already!) but couldn’t resist these two and I love them even more in person. I set them on my counter just so you could see how large they both are! I love the texture on the bobble knit pillow (I ordered this knit bobble matching throw too) and the long lumbar tree pillow is perfection.
This faux fur plush reverse throw blanket is so soft! I love the look and feel of the lining. It reminds me of a lot of my PB throws, but such a better price and it would make a beautiful gift too! I have a feeling this one will sell out quickly.
Speaking of trees. I shared these when they came out and would definitely recommend them if you can snag them before they are gone! The branches are so realistic and I love the ceramic pots.
This is another beautiful faux tree that sold out once but it looks like is back in stock for the moment! These come in 3 sizes and this is the medium and small. They are a different look than the trees above but also beautiful and so realistic! I love the little baskets they come in too.
Two stems to also check out before they sell out. I can’t believe the draping pine stems are just $5 each! I bought the cedar stems last year and love them.
I added them in this large vase together just to see how they look! This arrangement is too big for my island so I’ll probably move it somewhere else, but here is just one idea of how you can use a few of these pretty items. Christmas decor is TOO much fun isn’t it!?
A few more options for pretty holiday stems! There are so many fun ways to use faux stems like these. On shelves, in bowls and baskets, in a vase, on a mantel.. the possibilities are endless.
They are definitely a holiday staple and favorite at my house!
I hope these recent favorites gave you a few fun ideas for the holidays this year! Sorry this post was so long. Never enough time to chat all things Christmas decor! You know if it were up to me we would have Christmas decor up in our homes for half of the year.
Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! I’m sharing some easy holiday styling below, but first I have some fun news for those of you who wanted this long metal candleholder and couldn’t get it because it sold out so quickly. Target just came out with another similar version! It’s almost identical other than it looks like the tops of the candle holders are slightly different. I know this version will sell out quickly too so I wanted to share the news for anyone who missed the first option I bought. Talk about easy styling for the holidays! I have loved this.
I snapped this pic with my phone to show you a better look from above. I just used these beautiful pine branches and then placed ornaments on top in the greenery.
Another 5 minute decorating special! My favorite kind. These branches are absolutely beautiful and look so realistic. I used 4 stems in this tray and my textured metallic ornaments. (I linked some other fun ornament options at the end of my post!)
I might switch this back to my pumpkins soon. Or I might not. Not gonna lie.. the Christmas version of my cute tray is sparking a tad more joy for me at the moment. Ha. The first sign in my house of what’s to come! CAN’T WAIT.
But I will. Happy October and yea for Halloween. ;)
*These Amazon deals are changing fast so when you see this post some items might not be on sale anymore! Just a heads up. :) Affiliate links used.
{BEFORE}
Are you still organizing 15 minutes a day? I’m still going strong! I try to share my progress over on IG stories as much as I can. 15 minutes a day is all I really have time for most days but it does add up! I’m almost done with my closet and I’ve done it all by spending just 15-20 minutes a day. Slow progress but it feels so good to almost be done with a space that has driven me crazy for years! I’ll share pics at some point! This was a quick clean-out I recently did for my make-up bags.
{AFTER}
This really only took about 10 minutes and now I can easily see what I have in this drawer. So satisfying! If you haven’t started yet try organizing for just 15 minutes today. It helps me when I can do it at the same time every day. It doesn’t always happen, but I’ve found that if it’s part of my daily routine that I do on autopilot I stick with it. You all know this is my favorite make-up bag at the moment and below I linked cute jewelry boxes! I think they make the best gifts and give them away all the time! Put a necklace or bracelet inside and done. So cute. My friends have all loved them too!
Ok.. speaking of travel. I had great plans to take pictures of all of my travel favorites today (since I just unpacked from Dallas and haven’t put everything away yet!). But my day was a day (so busy) and I never had time to take the pictures. SO! I will still do that soon but because these Prime Day Deals only last a day I put everything I was going to share in a collage so that you can check them out while they are on sale for such a good price! I’ve always loved Calpak bags/luggage and I’ve had this luka duffel bag for years (remember this pic driving home after dropping El off at college? I went through that whole box of tissues in an hour! Ha.) I love this bag for travel but I fill it so full that it can get heavy to haul around in an airport! One of the main things I’ve been looking for lately is a travel backpack that will fit a lot of stuff in it including my 17 inch laptop.
I was so happy to land on this large travel backpack! On sale too for prime.. woot woot! I’ll let you know how I like it! The rest of these items above I have and love and they are all marked down so low. Funny thing about this luggage 3 piece set.. I ordered it so long ago and it has just been sitting in my closet. Every trip I went on this summer I almost took it but didn’t because I didn’t want to get it dirty! How silly.. why even buy it if I’m not going to use it!? So for my trip to Dallas I took it and of course, it got dirty. But now it’s broken in and I feel like I can haul it everywhere. :) I’m going to try a magic eraser on it (will report back) and you can also buy clear cover protectors like this (have you seen these before!?). But I’m not sure if that would be a hassle when traveling so I’ll see how well I can clean mine off. Regardless they are great suitcases and come in lots of fun colors! They dyson travel case I just use for my hot tools and I love my travel makeup brush holder! (I have it in beige.) The cute cosmetic bags are perfect for extras when I’m packing and the small sling bags look just like my Anthro sling bag for much less!
I almost ordered this cute weekender bag and love the spot it has for shoes! But it’s similar to my Calpak bag and I needed a backpack for travel. But such a cute option on sale if you need a travel bag! These full zipped hoodies have been all the rage because they look just like some from Lululemon and how cozy are those slippers!? I ordered a pair to try because they price was too good to beat. These hair ties are my girls’ favorites and this cable knit sweater is so beautiful for the holidays!
A few more favorites on sale! How beautiful is that office chair and jacket!? My rug pads are on sale and I love the black candlestick holders for the holidays! Especially Halloween. I have a fun idea for these lighted branches for Christmas! Coming soon. :)
I’m very excited about this bathroom organizer caddy. I ordered it for my girls’ shower. They share a bathroom and have so much stuff in that shower! Items are always slipping off their shelf so I’m going to attach this to the tile for a better solution! Also how gorgeous is this balsam fir artificial christmas tree on sale!? Stunning.
It has been a dangerous week with Target Christmas decor releases and Amazon Prime right!? Ha. But such a good time to think ahead to holiday decorating and Christmas gifts.
We are half way through the week! Wishing you the best Wednesday. :)
Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a good start! My snowy cedar garland came in and I was too excited to wait to show it to you! It’s on the far right of this picture and it’s so beautiful! A little messy (like all things with flocking, right?) but very realistic. I lined it up next to my other favorites – my cedar garland twisted with the eucalyptus garland, the cedar garland on its own, the Norfolk pine garland and then the snowy cedar garland. I love mixing garlands! These are all so beautiful and I’m having a hard time holding off going garland crazy at the moment.
Great set of bells from Amazon. They are light weight so perfect to hang on your mantel! They are also beautiful to set on a stack of books or a tray on a table.
This cute doormat came in too and is adorable. Perfect for the front porch! Target dropped the Studio Mcgee and Magnolia Christmas lines over the weekend and everything is so cute! Did you order some of it already? Tell me what you’re loving! I rounded up favorites below and will show you what I ordered as soon as it comes in. A few things already sold out! I’m hoping it all comes back in stock.
I finally broke down and ordered this portable carpet/upholstery cleaner. I’ve almost ordered it so many times and it’s on sale for prime days! Hoping it cleans the arms of my couch because I can’t muster the energy to take my couch apart to wash the bottom slipcover.. ha. I wash the single cushions all the time but the base is another story! I’ll report back on whether or not it works well. I have and love the other items above and everything is marked down at the moment!
Wrapping up today with a few pictures from the LTK Conference in Dallas last week! I haven’t been to this conference in several years. They didn’t hold it during 2020/2021 obviously and then last year Kenny was running his marathon the same weekend so I missed it. I almost didn’t go this year because my friend who I was going to room with had to cancel. Plus this conference is slightly stressful for me to be honest! Lots of outfit changes and so many beautiful, talented girls in one space. It’s easy to feel intimidated! Kenny encouraged me to go and I’m so glad he did. I ended up having the best time with my HOME decor girls. I’ve met them all through IG and it was so fun hanging out in real life! This was at the western social put on by Lucchese. I finally had an excuse to wear the cute boots I bought during the N sale!
I almost cried happy tears when I saw these 3! They are friends who have been doing this forever like me and in a sea of new faces it felt so good to see long timers. ;)
Day two was full of speakers and classes. I bought this new blazer and shirt for the day and felt very “collegiate.” Ha.
It always feels so good to be with friends who do what I do! Being a blogger/on social media can often feel isolating because it’s just me alone at my house all day creating content. None of my San Diego friends do this so I feel like I’m on an island sometimes. It’s so refreshing and motivating to be around people who you can share ideas and successes and failures with. It always leaves me feeling refreshed and grateful that I get to do this for a living!
The last night of the conference we had a party and the venue was stunning.
It was fun to dress up and feel fancy for a change! It was also fun when I got to put on my pjs after it was over. Ha. I can’t lie.. fancy dresses and heels aren’t my thing! But we had such a fun night together.
Gorgeous!
Love these 3.
It was especially so fun hanging out with my friend El. She and I have been close friends on IG for over 8 years! We’ve had so many phone calls and chats through texts and DMs. Being able to hug her and laugh with her in person was just the best. I’m so grateful for life long friends I’ve made through blogging/IG! It’s hands down the best part of what I do. That includes the friendships I’ve made with so many of you reading. Thank you for being here with me and for being my friend. :) I’m so grateful for you all!
Also this trip was the first time I’ve ever stayed in a hotel room alone. Is that crazy!? I’m always with Kenny or friends or my whole crew. It was so strange and quiet at night! I hated it the first night, got the hang of it the second night and by the third night I was eating my snacks and watching what I wanted on TV in bed and not wanting to leave! Ha ha. This trip was a good lesson for me to keep doing the things that scare me. It can be hard! But that’s how we grow and it usually turns out to be a pretty sweet deal in the end.
Happy October! I hope your month is off to a good start! I am so behind on sharing things here on the blog. I can honestly say that September was one of the busiest months ever for me which was weird! It’s usually such a calm month before the holiday storm but this year not so much. All good things! I went on a quick weekend trip with Kenny for our anniversary, a quick weekend trip with girlfriends, a quick 3 day trip for a blog conference, 2 quick trips to LA – one for 3 days in Disneyland and another trip for a baseball game and somewhere in there I threw a fall party for our church. I’ve been gone more than I’ve been home and I am so looking forward to more time at home in October! I’m behind on housework, laundry, blogging.. LIFE. I’m behind on life.
Time to catch up. :)
Despite our crazy month I still managed to find time to do a little pumpkin washing with this one. Tradition is always a priority right? Especially this tradition.
Because I’ve been so short on time (and because I wanted to use my beloved lighted maple trees again!) I decorated my Halloween porch pretty much the same as last year with just a few minor changes. I used my black pots instead of baskets, added a few jack-o-lanterns, swapped my candles for these flameless pillar candles that click on with a timer so I don’t have to light them each night, AND I bought a cute new mat. I also added a couple of mums!
Below are favorites and weekend sales and then below that I’m sharing a few pictures of the fall party I hosted! I’ll share pics of my other trips in future posts with all things holiday going on that are in progress around here. Love this time of year so much.
Victoria Emerson is doing a huge sale for just one more day! Select jewelry is on sale for only $20! Seriously so good. That’s more than half off most of these items. I got this bracelet and 2 rings at the LTK conference and love them! They are both part of the sale. I can’t believe this bracelet is just $20. It’s beautiful in person and looks much more expensive (it’s usually $38).
You can see in this pic that the bracelet is all linked together so you put it on like it’s just one bracelet. I love this necklace and earrings too. Each just $20! These items would make beautiful Christmas gifts. I shared a few more on sale below. I think this sale ends at the end of the day Sunday so don’t wait if you want something!
We’re definitely thinking ahead to Christmas decor around here and I’m trying to pick one of these trees for one of my spaces! Love them all so much. I thought I would share my favorites on Amazon if any of you are looking for a new tree at a good price!
These are Amazon Deals I rounded up to share on IG.. such a good price on each of these items! The bonding oil is one of my favorites for hair. I have the gift wrap organizer in green, the little juniper wreaths are perfect for the backs of chairs during the holidays and I’m ordering the sweater jacket! Hoping it isn’t too long on me!
These Walmart holiday items are so cute and I know they will sell out quickly! Such a good deal on fun decor. Makes me so excited to get my trees up. :)
Here are a few pics from the fall party I hosted for our church! We have this fall friendship party in my backyard every year. It has become a fun tradition I always look forward to! Because I have been traveling so much and just busy in general this month I wasn’t as prepared for this as I usually am. Everything for this party was done pretty last minute and I was literally putting together decor while people were arriving.. ha! Happy we pulled it off. :)
Add a few white mini pumpkins around a vase of flowers for a quick fall centerpiece!
It was such a fun night!
This was my fall centerpiece that I got to enjoy for a couple of weeks after the party too. It took 5 minutes to throw together! Still love my acrylic vase so much. :)
We have a new member of the family! Welcome home dana console. I love you. :) I ordered this gorgeous console table months ago and never got around to sharing how it looked over the summer so I’m catching up and sharing her decked for fall. This was one of those furniture items I debated for a long time (well over a year!) and then finally pulled the trigger when I could tell I wasn’t going to move on. The black clean lines, minimal gold hardware and of course.. that gorgeous rattan bottom shelf. (swoon!) It’s obviously a splurge item so I linked two other similar options above at various price points that are also beautiful! I’ve struggled with table options for our front entry because of its size and the busy floor pattern and I feel like 11 years later, I finally found what it needed. Home takes time.
Pretty fall branches in a vase.. always a win! This vase is on sale and so are the branches! These are the same faux branches I used on my dining room table.
Very versatile! I love the traditional fall colors. I used 4 branches on my table and there are 5 branches in the handwoven vase.
You might recognize my fields of gold print.. a favorite from last fall! It’s so perfect with all of the yellow/orange hues this time of year. Just beautiful and I love the gold frame!
I wanted my art raised a little above the table but didn’t want to nail anything into my molding so I tried these large picture hanging strips. I forgot to take pictures along the way so I pulled the print back and snapped this with my phone to show you! They were so easy to use! I’m thrilled about this solution. I placed three along the top and one on the bottom (had to work around my molding) and I can tell it’s going to hold great and be so easy to remove. The velcro just snaps together so tight! Genius.
I might add baskets under this table at some point but for now I just placed books there because I love seeing that gorgeous rattan shelf so much! Sidenote.. I just noticed all of my favorite coffee tables are on major sale. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them marked so low! Linked here..
Then I added some simple pumpkins and done! I love mixing real and faux (so happy my little white pumpkins are back!). The woven pumpkins have a little candle inside of them and light up so pretty! Not expensive at all and fun when it gets dark to add a little ambiance.
I used this misty seagrass frame and love the moody colors in this space! You can’t see the art at all in this picture because I didn’t take the glass off and the reflection is hitting it from our french doors. I’ll snap a pic when it’s dark to show you! It’s so beautiful in person.
Light a fall candle while you’re loading your dishwasher (always makes the chore more fun) and enjoy your day! :)

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend! Ours was both relaxing and productive. Activities for the kids, a nice Sunday walk, lots of football and I started my pumpkin collection! I need more color, but these medium sized white pumpkins were speaking to me this year and are a good start! I also cleaned my front porch so that I can decorate it soon. It was so dirty and I have been putting off that little chore for weeks so it felt good to get that done too. See.. I told you I’d bring us right back to fall. ;) (If you missed my Christmas prep post and 2023 Holiday Planner details are here.)
Today I’m sharing a couple of new additions from Walmart I recently added to our theatre room! I finally got a coffee table for this space and I’m in love! Isn’t it just the coziest table you’ve ever seen!? Such a fun style. I’ve wanted a coffee table for this space for years, but I didn’t want anything big and bulky taking up too much space. My kids and their friends live in this room and always use bean bags and blankets and sometimes sleep on the couch and floor. This is a great size and easy to move! The hard top is perfect for drinks and snacks. Plus I just love the look! So fun for any space but I especially love it in a TV room because it gives off such a cozy vibe.
I added this pretty vase with leaves and battery operated candles to bring in fall. It doesn’t take much right!?
Want to see the best part about this coffee table and what sealed the deal for me? Hello storage! The top comes off and you have a place to store all the things! I needed blanket storage in this room so badly and this is the absolute best solution. Blankets are now easy to grab when the kids need them and easy to clean up and put back after. I’m such a fan of this set up!
I was able to fit so many blankets inside. GENIUS! I would have loved this with little kids too. How smart to put this in a family room and use it to store toys! It’s also a great coffee table for little ones with no sharp edges.
I also ordered this console table to set behind our couch in this space for drinks and snacks. I mentioned years ago when I finished designing this room that I needed to get a table for behind our couch. Better late than never! Ha. This table is beautiful and the perfect size.
I love the faux marble top! Great quality for the price and it comes in other wood/table top options.
A few other Walmart favorites in this room! I’ve had this cute popcorn maker here for a while now. It comes in several colors and the minute I saw it came in black and gold I knew I had to have it for this space.
I’ve had these baskets for a while for blanket storage and just set one at each end of the couch.
They come in a set of two!
I snapped this with my phone at night and will share better pics when the console table is behind our couch. I need Kenny to help me move it! He helped me put these tables together but then football started and I lost my wingman for the night. Ha.
So excited about my new tables! Pop the popcorn and turn on a movie to celebrate! I can finally call this room DONE.
