Christmas Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{2023 HOLIDAY PLANNER}

Well I tried. I tried to wait until October for this post but my excitement for all things Christmas was just too strong this year! (If you’re new here.. Hi! My name is Erin and Christmas is my favorite. :) I love fall too! But I’ve learned over the years that if I want to enjoy my favorite time of year I have to be organized and start planning for it early. I can do this and enjoy all things pumpkin spice at the same time.

I’m tricky like that. ;)

Years ago I designed this holiday planner to help all of us stay organized during the busiest season of the year. A little planning ahead makes a huge difference! I find that my brain is all over the place once October hits so having one spot where I can keep all of my lists – party plans, decor plans, meal plans, gift ideas, calendars, to-do lists, etc. is so helpful. Download the entire planner or just print the pages that are helpful to you! (I added a meal planning page for Thanksgiving this year after so many of you requested it!). You can download my holiday planner HERE by joining my e-mail list. If you’re already on my list just enter your information again (it won’t add you twice) and you’ll get instant access to my printable library.

YEA for us getting a jump start on holiday planning! In other fun holiday news, most of my favorite Christmas decor is back in stock! A lot of it sells out so quickly (some by early/mid October!) so hopefully this will give you some decorating ideas and time to plan. Some items are already backordered so I’m clearly not the only person thinking ahead when it comes to the holidays!

Christmas Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{norway faux spruce tree/chunky wool jute rug/leafy glam garland/gold beaded garland/glitter star ornaments/

khaki velvet ribbon/black velvet ribbon/rizzo textured ball ornaments/similar textured glass ball ornaments/glitter gold star tree topper}

Last year I went pretty neutral with my family room Christmas tree and loved it so much. This leafy glam garland is stunning! The gold beads and stars are also favorites I’ll use again this year.

Christmas Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{rizzo textured ball ornaments/similar textured glass ball ornaments}

These ornaments sold out so quickly last year! They are a little pricey so I just sprinkled a handful of them on my tree. Another idea is buying just one box and setting them in a bowl on your coffee table.

Christmas Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{Norway 9′ faux spruce tree/burgundy wood bead garland/gold bead garland (similar here)/glitter star ornaments/gold ball ornaments/gold star}

This was my family room tree the year before all decked in red beads and gold. I like to keep my trees simple and let the tree itself shine! This Norway faux spruce is beyond beautiful in person and so easy to set up! I can do it myself in no time.

Christmas Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

{cable knit fur faux pillows(on sale!)/everywhere velvet pillow (similar pillows for less)/conell lumbar pillow/conell 20″ square pillow

velvet sherpa tree pillow/fa la la pillow/merry pillow/similar tree pillow/wool jute rug}

I’ll confess.. I own a lot of Christmas pillows. :) But these are the holiday pillows that have stood the test of time and that I pull out year after year. LOVE every one of these and I can’t wait to have them on my couches again!

Christmas Favorites (Sunny Side Up)

Love the whole merry collection!

{faux cedar garland}

{brass lanterns/flamless pillar candles/brass arched mirror/antique brass candle holders/cable knit faux fur pillow/sherpa tree pillow}

My faux cedar garland is one item that comes in stock and flies right back out! I’m so excited because this year they have it in 3 sizes (6 ft/9 ft/15 ft) and they even have a snowy version. So beautiful! I ordered a couple of the snowy garlands to check out and will share a pic when they come in. It’s already backordered so don’t wait if you want it! This garland is so realistic and easy to work with when you’re styling spaces. I couldn’t love it more!

Fall decor, food and Disney!

*affiliate links used
Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

We’re back! Spent 3 days in Disneyland with my sister and her family and let me tell you.. I am TIRED. Ha. There is nothing like Disneyland right!? The characters, the rides, the magic.. the lines, the crowds, the overpriced churros. It’s not for everyone! But I’m a forever fan. :) The last time we went with my sister her kids were so little! It was time for another trip with our now “big kids.” So big in fact, if you look close at this pic you’ll see that I’m on my tip toes attempting to still look like one of the adults! The big kids are now taller than me. {sigh} We were NOT messing around this trip. Walking so fast and trying to fit it all in.. 10 times! We all came home and could hardly move on Monday! My legs still ache from all the walking and my sides still ache from all the laughing. So much fun. There are a few more pics from our trip at the end of this post!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

{cotton fringe table runner/metal taper candleholder/battery operated candles}

First though I need to share this EASY, beautiful fall centerpiece! This candle holder is stunning and comes in 3 sizes (this is the largest). You could get this same look with individual candles or by combining a few of the smaller sizes. Similar options are also linked below! My favorite part of this little set up is my beloved battery operated candles. You know how much I love these during the holidays! They click on and off with a remote and look so realistic! Bonus that you don’t have to worry about setting your house on fire when using them. ;)

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

Once you have candles along your table just add fall branches and pumpkins for a beautiful centerpiece!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

{faux fall branches/faux pumpkins/white faux pumpkins}

These faux branches are so long and beautiful! I have some in a vase and they are stunning displayed that way also (on sale at the moment!). I just laid a couple of branches facing each way and then weaved them inside the candles covering the stems with leaves. Then I added a few faux pumpkins and done! Took about 5 minutes. I love easy decorating!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

This table runner is stunning in person. Wide and long plus I love the texture and the fringe on the ends! I mentioned in my fall pillow post that I am adding more greens in my fall decor this year because it will transition so beautifully for Christmas!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

This bench is usually in my bedroom at the foot of my bed, but I brought it in my dining room to see how it looks. I want a dining bench with a shorter back for this room that doesn’t cover so much of the window! This gave me an idea of how it will look.

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

The best part of this display is when it gets dark outside. I click on my candles and just leave them on in the evening. This room is off of the main hallway of our house that we walk through over and over and we love seeing the soft candle lit glow coming from this space! Makes me excited for all of the Christmas lights coming soon. :)

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

In other fun news I found some serveware that is just gorgeous! It has small gold flecks and a gold rim around the dishes/platters which makes it look a lot more expensive than it actually is. Pumpkin serving bowls and soup bowls to match? Why yes.. I’ll take a few more of those too. :)

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

I rounded up lots of our favorite Good & Gather snacks from Target to put together a fun spread for Monday night football!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

The kids loved it. So did I because an EASY dinner on pretty dishes just makes my day. :)

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

{tiered wood/metal round serving stand}

I linked favorites below!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

These chips are my #1 and they are dangerous for me to have in my pantry! I TRY to just not buy them. But then I do buy them thinking “I’ll just have a couple with lunch or after dinner.” Then the sack is empty in a day and I don’t let myself buy them again. Until I buy them again. It’s a vicious cycle between me and the kettle cooked BBQ chips.

They win the battle every time.

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

A few more Disney pics! El reached up to hug Ad and Kole on our drive to LA and I turned around and caught this sweet moment. She has had such an appreciation for us all after living away from home! These two adore her and I’m so happy every time we all get to be together. Half way through the summer we came up with a new game plan for El because she switched her major and the school she was at doesn’t have the best program for what she has decided she wants to do. She was going to go back to finish her generals and then apply to some new colleges, but after such a fun summer at home with friends and family she decided to just finish her generals at a school here in San Diego and then head to a new school next fall to finish her degree. Addison is a senior in high school this year so I get both of my girls home one more year and then they will both leave to different colleges next fall. I’m elated about having my girls home together this year! I’m also already feeling sad and anxious about having them both leave next year. So many emotions with my kids getting older. I have to keep reminding myself to just live in the moment and enjoy each day with them and not stress about the future. Easier said than done sometimes, but I’m trying! I’m so grateful I get one more bonus year with El home. Thinking of all of you who sent kids off to college this year! Just like a trip to Disneyland.. it’s not for the weary. :)

The good news (I’m learning) is that they always come back!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

At least next year I’ll still have these two to keep me young and entertained. :)

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

We love hitting Disneyland in the fall when all of the fall/Halloween decor is up. California Adventure is spooky beautiful (if that’s a thing?) when it’s dark!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

{vuori polo/AG farrah fray hem bootcut jeans/everywhere belt bag/similar adidas sneakers}

Nothing beats spending time with my sister! Our kids get totally embarrassed when the two of us are together. It’s pretty much nonstop hype and laughing.

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

Car yelled to these two “you’re my sister’s favorite!!! We HAVE to get a pic!!!”  Ha ha.. did you know Alice in Wonderland is my all time favorite Disney movie?

Curiouser and curiouser!

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

Not done yet! Our kids had all run away from us at this point.

I don’t think her majesty liked me very much but that didn’t stop me from giving her a huge hug! Careful, she’s stark raving mad!

Oh the memories! That movie is my childhood.

Fall decor, favorite snacks and Disney (Sunny Side Up)

The nice thing about Disneyland is that there is a little something for everyone. :)

That was kind of a random post! I’ll try to stay focused on just one topic next time.. ha.

Until then I’ll just be over here reciting Alice in Wonderland quotes, eating BBQ chips, and enjoying each day! I hope you are able to do the same.

:)

How to make a pumpkin napkin (and set a cute fall table!)

*affiliate links used
Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{pumpkin chargers}

I can’t believe it’s already almost Friday.. I hope you had a good week! We’ve had so much going on lately that I’ve had this post half way ready for a while now and just couldn’t find time to get it over the finish line. I’m so happy to finally be sharing it today! Remember the cute pumpkin chargers I shared earlier? I was thinking about a fun table setting with them and thought “wouldn’t it be cute if I could make a pumpkin with a linen napkin.. what a fun idea!” I started playing around and figured out a way to do it and was thinking I was pretty cool for my new creative discovery. Then I decided to just check Pinterest to see if there is anything similar out there and it turns out this creative discovery of mine was discovered a long time ago.. ha! Whether you’ve seen this before or not, it’s such a simple and cute idea for fall/Thanksgiving tables! And it’s new to me. ;)

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

{napkin ring/taller napkin ring option/linen napkin}

I just used a circle napkin ring I had on hand, but after making these I actually think a taller napkin ring like this would work best. I saw a few tutorials on-line using a small section of a paper towel roll too so there are lots of options! Set your napkin ring in the center of your napkin. (Don’t worry about ironing your napkin if there are creases.. they won’t show!)

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

Then pull about this much napkin through the ring. Just a little!

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

Keep that middle section pulled through and then pull all of the napkin corners in and start stuffing them inside the napkin ring.

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

This is easy when you start and then gets harder because you start running out of room and it gets tight inside the ring. You can use a butter knife to help slide more napkin inside the ring if you need to! Keep stuffing the napkin in all the way around until you have this..

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

It will look a little messy and that’s ok! I actually love the imperfection with this little project. :)

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

Flip it around and it will look like this on the other side! Hello pumpkin! The cutest right!? If pieces are falling out, flip it back over and keep stuffing the napkin inside the ring until everything is tight.

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

You can use anything you want for a pumpkin stem (I saw a lot of green versions on Pinterest). I just used a cinnamon stick and it fit perfectly! :)

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

Aren’t these little pumpkins adorable!? I love to see how different each pumpkin turns out. They are messy and uneven and all so unique and that’s what makes them beautiful. :)

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

{pumpkin chargers/cream dinnerware set/harvest pumpkin salad plates/napkin/cinnamon sticks here or here/similar gold flatware/rattan glasses}

I’ve had this set of salad plates for years so I pulled them out and layered them with a plate from my favorite cream dinnerware set. Then I just placed the pumpkin napkin on top! Such a cute and easy tablescape. I love this for Thanksgiving too!

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

Here it the same place setting using a cream napkin.. another fun option to go with a more neutral fall table!

How to make a pumpkin napkin (Sunny Side Up)

3 pumpkin place settings for my 3 pumpkins! Sidenote: I don’t think you have to have a fancy party or special dinner like Thanksgiving to use a fun table setting like this. I often use our cute dishes at home with the kids on our island. Every once in a while we will just use the fancy plates! Even if we’re just eating pizza. Ha. Makes the every day feel a little special.

I hope you’re all doing well and getting in a good fall routine! I have so much to share! My mind is just racing with holiday decorating ideas!

That have probably (unknown to me) all been done before.

ha ha.. ;)

Be back soon!

Fall Throw Pillows

*affiliate links used
Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{chunky wool/jute rug – on sale!/kitchen sources here}

Happy Monday! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend! (If you missed my Labor Day Sales post you can find it here.. sales are still going through today!) I recently shared a few pops of fall I added to my kitchen and today I’m continuing with my family room. I’m especially excited about the pillows I’m using this year because they instantly brought fall into my home and made it feel so cozy! I played around with lots of different pillow combos and these were my favorites. :)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{belgian linen throw pillow/desiree floral embroidered throw pillow/heathered stripe woven throw blanket}

If you want your throw pillows to really add the cozy factor in your home pay attention to texture! I love pillows with extra texture and I love browns in the fall. This linen pillow is stunning in person! So is the embroidery on the floral pillow. I love that it adds small pops of gold and cream and blue. A perfect fall accent!

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{rattan wrapped side table – on sale!/antiqued brass candlesticks/spiral candles/barstools/hanover pendants}

The gold/cream throw is lightweight and also adds texture with its stripe pattern and fringes. So good for the price. Speaking of price, my rattan side table is on sale for the lowest price I’ve seen it! Pretty much everything everywhere is on sale right now.. ha.

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{oversized embroidered striped lumbar throw pillow/horizontal chain stripe throw pillow/zenia floral quilted throw pillow}

I decided to bring in greens for fall this year for two reasons. One.. I can never get enough green. But you already knew that. :) Two.. the greens will transition so smoothly into Christmas! I could not love this floral quilted throw more! So stunning and I love it paired with the stripe lumbar.

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{terracotta vase/faux wild grass bundle}

Behind my couch I have my faux bundle in a vase. Talk about easy decorating! It’s all put together for you so you just set it in a vase and walk away! Brilliant and beautiful for fall. :)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{coffee table}

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{oversized woven striped throw pillow/belgian linen lumbar throw pillow/similar knit throw}

I added another linen throw on the other end of my couch in green and paired it with this fun large striped throw pillow. You can’t really see the beautiful textures going on in these pictures. You’ll have to trust me! Or just come over to visit. :)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

Once I added these pillows to the couch my family room instantly took on a new life. It’s crazy how a few throw pillows can completely transform a space isn’t it!? I’m a fan. :)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{wingback chair/x base stool/textured chenille throw pillow/chunky cable knit throw toasted almond/lamp/tartan plaid woven throw}

I continued the greens in this corner with a chenille pillow that is also gorgeous and perfect for Christmas! I’m also loving these two throws. The almond throw is thick and heavy while the green plaid is lightweight. We’re now set for a wide range of fall temps! Which for us is basically 70-75 degrees.. ha.

Good thing I’m prepared. ;)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

{faux rust eucalyptus stems/glazed terracotta vase/trinket dish/nesting tray/maple leaf platter/

wooden book display/made for living/similar hand knit throw pillow/reed striped lumbar throw pillow}

Our coffee table is ready for fall too! I kept decor really simple this year on my table with just a few larger items. Half of my coffee table decor gets set on the floor every night when my family invades this space. We use this table for laptops, homework, board games, books, drinks and snacks. I decided to make it easy for me to put it back together each morning by keeping the decor at a minimum. I’m tricky like that. :)

Fall Pillows (Sunny Side Up)

Fall decor you are my favorite!

Until it’s time for Christmas decor when you become a very close second.

;)

Fall in the Kitchen (styling inspo!)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{hanover pendant}

Happy almost September everyone! We are back in a routine this week and it feels so good! We had a busy August and I’m due for a life catch up/photo dump at some point. All good things, but it has just felt like I’ve been running for a month and now I’m ready to walk. Actually I’m ready for a nice STROLL. Ha! September is truly one of my favorite months of the year. It’s always the month we settle back into a good school/work/life routine and I love the calm rhythm that comes with it. Football starts and we start welcoming fall! I’ve been adding fall decor here and there and just love how cozy it makes everything feel.

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{antiqued metal tray/black marble serving board/marble & wood serving board/rattan bowl/round wood stand/brass salt mill/brass pepper mill/similar utinsel crock}

I really didn’t do too much in my kitchen but small changes make a big difference don’t they!? I took my lemons out of this rattan bowl and added some pinecones and just like that.. good-bye summer and hello fall. :)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{golden ash leaf arrangement/river scape framed art/round black marble & wood serving board/wood rectangle board/round wood pizza board}

I also added a pretty leaf arrangement and some art on the shelf above my stove. I’m a sucker for all of the true fall colors! Deep oranges, yellows and reds.. I love bringing fall colors into my home.

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{marble lazy susan/dried flowers/similar bowl here & here/marble stacking salt & pepper/pumpkin spice pumpkin candle/black candle snuffer/gold candle snuffer}

These dried flowers are perfect for fall too and so easy to arrange in a vase or bowl! They are a little messy to style, but they stay put and don’t drop once you are done and I love the look! I’m also loving this little salt & pepper holder for easy use when I’m cooking (I actually cook a little in the fall) and this candle holder! If you only buy one thing this fall let it be this pumpkin spice pumpkin candle. Aside from being adorable (right!?) it’s my all time favorite candle scent! So good! I look forward to having this scent in my home all year. Kenny and my kids love it too. Antho also has this cute wooden acorn candle. I love it too! It’s just a different scent and the pumpkin spice scent is best in my opinion. :)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{wooden lazy susan/faux rust eucalyptus stems/glazed terracotta vase/stoneware mini bowls}

I was playing around with a few different arrangements for my island and decided to just photograph them all to give you some ideas! Here is a fun option with this wooden lazy susan. These stems are a great price and come in a bundle. I’m using 3 bundles for this arrangement and the stems don’t even go down half way in this vase! The branches are so full it was easy to get them to stay put. The vase is a favorite (I love the shape) and it’s on sale at the moment!

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

Add a candle or some mini bowls in fun fall colors to complete the look. :)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{matte black vase/faux rust leaf branches/ruffled marble bowl}

I pulled this vase and branches in from my master bedroom to try and love it on a woven tray. My Celia woven trays are sold out at the moment so I linked a few other fun options below. Rattan trays always work so well in the fall with their beautiful texture!

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{ruffled marble bowl/faux acorns here & here}

A pretty little bowl with acorns is always a nice touch in the fall too. Especially when the acorns are from your dad’s tree and collected by the grandkids for some change. ;) I’ve used faux acorns in bowls too and they always work great! I linked the two faux options I like best. :)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{tondo rectangle serving board/small ribbed glass jug vase/large ribbed glass jug vase/faux hops flower stem/pumpkin spice pumpkin candle}

You know how I feel about green.. these vases just sort of hopped into my on-line cart! I love the ribbed look and they will be pretty for Christmas too. These stems are so realistic and a crazy great price! I just used 6 stems in the tall vase.

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

Oh hello little pumpkin. You look cute there too. :)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

{slope ceramic vase/faux willow eucalyptus stem/antiqued brass candlesticks/spiral candles/tondo rectangle serving board}

Another fun option! Love this tall vase next to candlesticks. It’s so pretty, but I wasn’t feeling it as much in my kitchen so I moved it to another spot (perfect for a console table!). I love these spiral candles for fall! (Obviously don’t light them next to branches.. ha.) These faux branches look lighter in this lighting and spread out.

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

Here is a pic of the same branches in my kitchen last year. Don’t be afraid to manipulate and bend faux stems! I had the stems of these branches coiled up to fit in this shorter vase for a totally different look. Make your branches work for you! That’s why I love all things faux. :)

Fall in the Kitchen (Sunny Side Up)

Alright friends.. do something you enjoy today for even just 20 minutes! Read/listen to a good book, go on a walk, or pull out your fall branches and start decorating.

I give you permission to do all 3 of the above! And to buy the cute little wooden pumpkin. You deserve it. ;)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{nottaway chandelier}

Happy Friday! I hope you’re doing well! It felt like we had a million random things going on this week. So busy. I’m looking forward to the weekend so that I can catch my breath! Also so that I can finish decorating. My house is a fall explosion at the moment. Ha. I have so many fun things to share! If only I didn’t need to sleep.. that would solve a lot of problems. Do you ever feel that way!? :)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

Sidenote: Aren’t these pumpkin chargers the cutest!?  I think so too. :)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

I’m sharing some fun fall porch ideas today! This was last year’s porch decor and I think I’ll do something similar this fall because I want to use my lighted maple trees again. So excited to pull them out and to see pumpkins popping up in stores!

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

 {lighted maple trees/tree baskets/jute rug/orange outdoor rug/cream & brown stripe rug/caleb metal lanterns/bats/happy halloween garland}

I added the cute happy halloween garland and some bats in October. Now we’re talking. :)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

The best part was seeing the pretty tree lights and candles click on at night! They added such a cozy glow. (My trees are on sale at the moment!)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{similar faux eucalyptus trees/caleb metal lanterns/hand woven jute rug/similar tan accent rug/black planters}

The year before I went a slightly different direction. My fall porch was simple and GREEN. Not quite as traditional but I absolutely loved the change!

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

I use stools some years to add variety in the height of my pumpkins. :)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

Combining different shades of the same color is always a decorating win! Especially when the color is green. ;) Some hanging witch hats would be cute with this set up too right!?

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

One year I used more whites and purples and loved that look for fall. So many fun options this time of year!

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{striped jute runner/hey there pumpkin mat/similar wood crate/similar wheat bundle}

Nothing like beautiful mums with a hey there pumpkin mat. :)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{caleb metal lanterns/similar black jack-o-lantern/similar stripe rug/hello door mat/similar free standing chalkboard/similar black square planters}

Traditional black and orange! Always a good thing in October. :)

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{metal black lanterns/similar black jackolantern/black lanterns}

Stacking pumpkins on top of each other is another fun idea.

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

{similar free standing chalkboard}

So is writing a cute Halloween message on a chalkboard! Cobwebs are easy to draw so I recommend sticking with them if you aren’t an artist like me. Ha.

Fall Porch Ideas (Sunny Side Up)

I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like. Did you know that? Especially in the fall. :)

I hope these porch pictures gave you a few ideas! It’s always so fun to get creative with outdoor holiday decor. I rounded up more fun options below! Faux trees, mums, lanterns, wreaths, mats and bats. My favorites for a spooky (or not so spooky) fall porch. :) Happy decorating whenever you choose to start!

First Day (Sunny Side Up)

{faux ficus tree/modern rustic fluted planter/natural jute rug/faux hydrangea options here/here/here}

Well hello! I hope you are doing well and enjoying August! We are back to school at our house! These two started Tuesday. Last year of middle school for Kole and last year of high school for Ad! My first day of school tears started earlier at breakfast instead of my usual after drop off. Another year! Time is a thief and I need this whole kids growing up thing to STOP immediately. I know a few of you can relate. :)

We’ve been attempting to get back in a routine this week which I’m actually so excited about. I love lazy summer days, but always by about mid August I’m itching to get back on a schedule! A new school year always feels like a fresh start and I love setting goals and making plans. I always start prioritizing exercise again and I love organizing and getting my house back in order. It’s basically my January! In January when everyone else is setting goals and exercising I just want to curl up in pjs and watch movies and recover from the holidays. Ha.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Today I’m celebrating a small win. My shoes are finally organized! You might remember this “before” of my dresses. They are next to my shoes and for years this little section of my closet has been such a hot spot for me. Actually my whole closet is a hot spot but the rest is a story for another day. I’m working on one section at a time over here. :)

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I added these lovely shoe shelves in our closet when we built our home, but the issue for me in this space isn’t that I don’t have a great place for my shoes. The issue is that I have too many shoes. That’s usually the issue when we can’t stay organized! TOO MUCH STUFF.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

For years many of my shoes have just been living on my floor. While shoes and clothes clearly spark joy for me, this messy situation does not!

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I took all of my shoes off and cleaned each shelf.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Then I went through every pair of shoes. By the time I finished I had a huge pile to donate. Felt so good!

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I started putting the shoes I wanted to keep back on my shelves. The floppy state of my boots has always bothered me and for a while I tried putting magazines inside each one. That never worked great and I eventually went back to floppy boots.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

{boot shapers – form inserts}

Until I found these boot shapers! I bought a few different options to try (they come in 4 sizes) and then ordered more of what I needed of each size. I used the 14 inch size for most of my boots!

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

You just fold them in half and slide them inside your boots! So cool.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

They are supposed to stick up out of the boot like this so that you can put your finger in the cut out circle to pull them out.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I prefer to not see the boot shaper so I put mine down inside. They are just as easy to pull out this way!

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

This shelf BEFORE..

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

and AFTER! I put some boots folded over in half on a lower shelf and used the boot shapers on the tall bottom shelf. Boots are my favorite. Clearly. :)

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Another BEFORE..

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

and AFTER. So much better right!? I used a couple of the 10 inch shapers for my shorter boots.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I just laid my sandals and mules side ways to take up less space on a top shelf.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Sneakers towards the top. I keep my every day sneakers in my mudroom drawer.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Done and done. Feels so good! Really the main work was just choosing shoes I don’t wear as often to donate. I bought a few new pairs of shoes during the N sale and made myself donate a few more older shoes to make room for them! I can’t have more shoes than I have room for on these shelves. That’s my new rule! It feels so good to have them up off the floor. Seeing a pic of my shoes like this made me realize that they are all so similar! I’m a neutral girl at heart. :)

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I shared my organized dress rack before but here’s another pic! I keep my purses on the shelf above my dresses in these acrylic organizers (these are another great similar option I later found on Amazon). I do have to bend some purses to fit in the organizers, but I’ve had them like this for over a year now and it hasn’t hurt my purses one bit.  I usually use my Madewell totes (current favorite!) during the week and then use my smaller purses for weekend date nights.

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

I still need to label my baskets and I’m working on the other section of my closet (done with drawers and working on jeans/tops!), but celebrating progress! Such a little thing.. getting my shoes up off the floor. Why did it take me years to take the time to do it!?

Shoe Organization (Sunny Side Up)

Organization. It just makes life happy doesn’t it!?

First Day (Sunny Side Up)

Speaking of happy. One of my kids was thrilled about starting school again and the other not so much. Can you guess which is which? :)

First Day (Sunny Side Up)

Love my crazy kids. Love an organized closet. Love back to school and new routines!

Happy weekend! We love those too. :)

Fall Bedroom Re-fresh

*affiliate links used
Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

I hope your weekend is off to a good start! I’m sharing a fun update in my master bedroom. New bedding! Clean sheets and new bedding. That combo always feels so good right!? It made my bedroom feel new again. It has also helped me feel more excited about making my bed each morning!

Let’s see how long that lasts. :)

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{sutherland canopy bed/stripe linen duvet cover/stripe linen shams/grey linen blend comforter grey sham/stitched throw pillow/charcoal zuma blanket/linen gauze throw/linen gauze bed blanket}

I’ve been looking for a new comforter or duvet cover for a while now and when I saw this beautiful stripe linen duvet cover that’s part of the N sale I knew I had found “the one!” Nothing like a good stripe to make all things right in the world. :)

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

It’s so beautiful and cozy and has matching shams in standard, king and euro. I ordered the king shams because my headboard is low and I didn’t want to cover it up with tall euro pillows. Then I layered the stripe pillows with these fun comforter shams in a dark grey.

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

I placed this cute stitched throw pillow in the center and done! Honestly I like to keep the pillow situation pretty simple on our bed so that it’s easy to make and un-make. I always toss the pillows we sleep on on the benches in our bedroom and then at night I switch and toss the decorative pillows on the benches. Back and forth and back and forth. It’s a system. :)

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

I added these beautiful blankets at the bottom of my bed too. The zuma blanket in dark grey – I love the texture it adds and it’s on sale through this weekend! Then this beautiful linen gauze blanket on top. The gauze blanket was also part of the sale but it sold out. This is the same blanket just maybe a little larger. It’s crazy soft and so beautiful. Sheets are my long time Amazon favorites.

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{dried wheat wreath/similar faux wheat wreath}

I’m not really in a fall frame of mind yet (that usually kicks in after my kids are back in school!) but I decided to add this pretty wreath over my bed since I was giving my bedroom a little re-fresh with the new bedding. I bought this beautiful dried wheat wreath last year and had it in my kitchen. This is another faux wheat wreath that is also a fun option! The ribbon might look intentional but it’s there because of pure laziness. Ha. The nail in my wall was too high from the last thing I had hanging in this space and I wasn’t in the mood to add a new lower nail and pull the old one out and touch up the paint. I’ll use wreaths on ribbons during the holidays and save that little chore for next January. Pure laziness or pure genius? Maybe a little bit of both.

I’m tricky like that. ;)

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{flax linen bench/similar bench}

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{facette white vase/faux millet bundle/antiqued brass candlesticks/spiral twisted candles/black terracotta table lamp/metal framed mirror}

I decided to roll with a little more fall decor on my nightstand for fun too!

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

Love these antiqued brass candlesticks with my beloved spiral candles. This beautiful faux millet bundle was a fall favorite last year! It comes grouped together so you literally just set it in a vase and done. Easy styling and so pretty for fall.

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

I won’t be lighting these candles next to my little wheat bundle in case any of you were worried. ;)

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

This cozy corner got a little update too! (Sidenote.. I would love to switch these drapes out for something more neutral. On the someday wishlist!)

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{cora side table/ophelia black vase/faux rust leaf branches/ruffled marble bowl}

For now I’m thrilled with how much this cute side table elevated things. These branches were also fall favorites last year and I don’t know how long they will last in this space because I love them in my kitchen during Sept/Oct too! I just have two stems in this vase (each branch is very full!).

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{ivory stripe pillow/softest throw blanket/similar chair herehere & here}

I added a couple of cute pillows (more stripes? don’t mind if I do..) and this beautiful throw that is also still on sale through the weekend. It’s called the softest throw blanket and really is so soft. I gave one to a friend for her birthday recently and she loves it too!

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

{ophelia black vase/faux rust leaf branches/ruffled marble bowl}

A closer look at this beautiful vase and bowl! STUNNING.

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

Maybe I AM in a fall frame of mind! This little re-fresh is making me want to bust out my fall decor and put it all over my house!

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

You know the book If you Give a Mouse a Cookie? I’m hearing a new title taking shape in my head.. If you Give Erin a new Duvet Cover.

Thinking I should write that book. I’m feeling New York Times Bestseller vibes.

Master Bedroom Fall (Sunny Side Up)

No? Not so much? Ok ok. Guess I’ll just stick with blogging.

:)

Below are bedroom sources along with some fun N sale items that are still in stock. Sale ends this Sunday! I’m always sad to see it end. Kenny is always so grateful. Ha. I’m also sharing your July favorites! It’s so fun seeing what items you love the most that I share here. You all have great taste. ;)

Happy August everyone!

Weekend Favorites/Sales & Seattle

*affiliate links used

{zip front chino dress/button-front chino dress/raffia sandals/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

Happy Sunday! Apologizing in advance for the length of this post! I’m sharing some recent favorites along with a photo dump from our Seattle trip last weekend. Feel free to skip the second half of this post since I’m using it as a family journal. I’ve learned that if I don’t document life here every once in a while the documenting will never happen! Ha. I shared that I ordered this cute J Crew dress a few weeks ago and wanted to share how it looks on! Such a great find! The reviews were right.. it’s very flattering! Of course I’m a fan of the color so there’s that too. :) It’s sold out in a lot of sizes (I’m hoping they bring it back!) but it comes in white and I also linked a very similar dress above. CUTE.

{pilcro embroidered tee/colette cropped wide leg pants/raffia sandals/

mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

I’ve been living in this outfit this summer! I’ve shared the pants before.. they are so comfortable! The tee is beautiful. On the short side but perfect with high waist pants.

{travel cosmetic bag}

I know I’ve shared this travel bag before, but now I’ve actually traveled with it multiple times and I just couldn’t love it more! I heard it was so popular it went viral on social media? I’m not surprised because it holds so much more than you think it would! I’ve already ordered my girls each one for Christmas. (Yes.. thinking ahead to that already because I want to be mostly done with holiday shopping by October!)

Favorites & Sales (Sunny Side Up)

{travel bottles}

I also shared these travel bottles and just used them for the first time on our trip to Seattle. LOVE them! They hold a lot of product and didn’t leak at all!

fall leaves (Sunny Side Up)

{cimicifuga ramosa leaves}

Fall is right around the corner (I know that makes some of you cheer and some of you boo!). I’m really enjoying summer with my kids and I never feel ready to decorate until they go back to school BUT I do like to start planning ahead! It’s not difficult for me to enjoy one season while planning ahead and getting excited about the next. I’m tricky like that. ;) You too? If you’re in my boat and enjoying summer while thinking a little about fall decor then you might be interested to know that these stunning cimicifuga ramosa leaves are back in stock! I’m very excited to pull them out again. They sold out quickly last year so don’t hesitate if you want them!

1- eucalyptus leaves   2- nandina leaf branch   3- cimicifuga ramosa leaves   4- ivy branch

A few more AFloral favorites for Fall!

{terracotta jack o lanterns}

I’m also pretty smitten with these terracotta jack o lanterns! They came out with these last year but just in the orange. I loved them but didn’t order any because I wasn’t as into the color. Well ok! Whole new story with this black/gray vibe! I’m definitely a fan. They were so popular last year and sold out before October even hit and I know these will sell out quickly too so I’m sharing them early! A lot of people found ways to make something similar for less which is so fun too if you have the time! I ordered one of each size and will share a pic when they come in. Thinking they’ll land on my front porch this year. :)

1.jack o lanterns   2- cimicifuga ramosa leaves   3-travel cosmetic bag

4- chain bracelet   5-  embroidered tee   6-  round marble serving board   7-  linen blend pillow

N Sale Try On (Sunny Side Up)

{pretty things jewelry box}

These “pretty things” jewelry boxes sold out in a blink during the N sale, but there are so many similar fun options still in stock! Sharing 5 I love below! A cute little jewelry box like this is one of my favorite gifts to give because you can put some jewelry inside to make it really special.

While we’re talking gift ideas, below are other fun gifts that are still in stock and on sale! I always knock out some of my holiday shopping during the N sale and when December hits I’m always grateful I did!

1-lipgloss set   2- brush trio set   3- flat iron

4- waterproof mascara   5-marble serving board   6- earrings

Anthro Fall candles are out and they have so many fun options this year that double as decor too! That pumpkin/cinnamon fall smell is probably my favorite smell ever and something I always look forward to. I have a feeling a couple of these pretty candles will find their way into my home this fall. :)

Below are some pics from our recent trip to Seattle! Kenny and I love Seattle, but have never taken our kids. It was a short trip but we packed a lot in and had such a good time.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We kicked off our trip touring U Dub with Addison. What a stunning campus!

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

It was a beautiful day and the grounds were absolutely breathtaking.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

The buildings were gorgeous too. Total Harry Potter vibe. I half expected Dumbledore to pop into this beautiful library at any moment. ;)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

I would love to go back and see it again when the cherry blossom trees are blooming! It’s the same thing every time with these college tours. Kenny is always asking questions about things that are actually important for Addison to know about the school while I just get lost in the architecture and landscaping. Ha.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We took the kids to Pike Place Market (of course!). So fun to show them everything.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

El snapped this on our way. :)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We showed them the first Starbucks which was a summer highlight for Addison since she’s addicted to pink drinks. Ha.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

So fun seeing where it all started!

We hung out at the Pier for half of a day and did all the fun tourist Seattle things. Definitely do the “Wings over Washington” ride if you go.. it was incredible and Kole’s favorite part of the trip!

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

The Carousel was a hit too. :)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

My kids loved the city and it made me so happy to finally show it to them! We lucked out with perfect weather too.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We ate at a few fun restaurants..

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

and walked a lot exploring in the evenings. We stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown/Lake Union and the location was great. We were so close to everything so we didn’t rent a car and just walked most of the time and took an uber if we needed one.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

I love this city! I would seriously want to move here if the weather was always this beautiful. Not so sure I could handle the rain. :)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Another sweet moment El captured. She’s becoming quite the photographer. :)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Day 2 we took the kids to Lake Union to kayak!

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

I was so happy to finally have Tevas.. ha! Every trip we’ve taken for the last few years I’ve wished I had a pair for stuff like this.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We paddled around and had the best time! I loved seeing the beautiful houses on the lake and kept thinking of Tom Hanks and how they looked just like his house in Sleepless in Seattle. When we left the lake I looked it up and sure enough.. this is exactly where that movie was filmed!

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Check out these expert kayakers.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

So in sync! ;)

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

After a fun day on the lake we cleaned up and got ready for the main reason we hit Seattle..

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Taylor Swift! What a night.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

{pleated cap sleeve minidress/similar prairie dreams flutter sleeve dress/similar black over the knee boots/ruffle romper/monikka western boots}

To say the 3 of us were giddy is an understatement! I wore this black dress I recently bought at the N sale.. Reputation all the way for this Swiftie. ;) My girls wore these cute rompers they have been living in this summer and I last minute ordered El a pair of western boots from the sale because she didn’t have a pair!

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

I also ordered these cute clear purses for each of us to take! Now we’re set for future concerts/events too.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

Kole’s first concert. Now I’m worried any future concerts will fall a little flat in comparison.. ha! So special experiencing this night with my family! And a couple of Ad’s besties she was face timing at the beginning of the concert. Too fun.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

The energy in this stadium was off the charts! I’ve honestly never experienced anything like it! This clock started counting down to Taylor coming on and everyone went absolutely crazy.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

She was unbelievable.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

WHAT A SHOW.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We never sat down and sang and danced our hearts out! Kenny was laughing after and said he felt like he was there chaperoning his 3 teenage daughters.. ha. I definitely lived it up with my girls! Ad and I even traded friendship bracelets with other fans. Swifties are the sweetest people! I loved everyone I talked to that night. Even the boys had the best time. We have all been singing her songs nonstop this past week! It was a night we will never forget.

Seattle (Sunny Side Up)

We didn’t travel far but that was hands down one of my favorite family trips. :)

Bathroom Organization & N sale favs

Amazon Makeup Organizer (Sunny Side Up)

{artisan vase/faux tree branches}

July is flying by in a blink isn’t it!? Crazy how some months go by so quickly while others (I’m talking to you January/February) feel like a never ending slog. Ha. I guess that means we are enjoying summer and I hope you are doing the same! I feel like my moto this summer has definitely been play hard/work hard. We have been having lots of fun in the sun with friends, but I have also been working hard to get a few things organized around here and I’m happy to be sharing a new solution that is making me happy in my bathroom!

Amazon Makeup Organizer (Sunny Side Up)

{bathroom counter organizer}

I mentioned a while back in a post that I was loving this bathroom counter organizer. It really has been such a good solution for me! I had my vase & branches on a tray in this space, but I noticed that I kept putting my most used items on the tray to make life easier and it always looked cluttered and messy. So I ditched the tray! It’s happily living somewhere else now and this cute acrylic bathroom counter organizer is doing a much better job of holding often used items AND looking beautiful.

Amazon Makeup Organizer (Sunny Side Up)

{acrylic Q tip holder}

I love having Q tips close when I’m putting on my make-up (for some reason I’ve never learned how to put mascara on without getting it all over my eyes) and this cute acrylic Q tip holder keeps them tidy and accessible. It’s the little things. :)

Amazon Makeup Organizer (Sunny Side Up)

{marble heart tray/flowerbomb perfume/TNS serum/sheer renewal cream/extreme recovery cream/vitamin c brightening serum/retinol eye serum/complete eye cream}

Then I just have my every day jewelry in my little heart tray, my favorite perfume, makeup brushes, and all of my favorite skin care products that I use at night and in the morning on the organizer also. It really does make life easier to have my most used items easy to access! (*Sidenote – I just noticed while I was linking my skin care favorites that Colleen Rothschild is doing a Christmas in July sale – 25% off right now!)

Amazon Makeup Organizer (Sunny Side Up)

Plus this organizer is just so cute and stylish. I love the gold grommets on the side! This is a great solution if you are short on drawer space in your bathroom and it could also be used under the sink to hold items that aren’t as pretty to display. I’m a fan!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{makeup brush trio set}

Two days after I took pictures of my little organizer my new makeup brushes from the N sale came in the mail! So excited about these. I’ve had my previous foundation brushes for years and they were starting to fall apart. (I also have a foundation brush I really like that is similar to this in my drawer.)

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{crewneck sweater/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie}

Here are a few more N sale favs I ordered that finally arrived! These farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans must be the best kept secret of the sale because they are still in stock in most sizes! You know my love affair with AG jeans.. hands down the best fitting jeans for my body type. If you have curves or gain weight in your butt/thighs you will love these. They are so flattering! You might love them if you don’t gain weight in your butt/thighs too, I just wouldn’t know about that because that’s not the case here. Also I hate you and we can’t be friends anymore.

;)

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{havana friendship chain/mini paperclip chain bracelet}

Very excited about some jewelry I picked up at the sale this year! I always wear a few bracelets on my left wrist and these are going to be my new go-to’s. Both so beautiful and I love them paired together.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

I got the matching paperclip necklace to go with the bracelet too. So pretty and delicate! They would make beautiful gifts also.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{crewneck sweater/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/leather moto jacket}

I wanted to share this cute leather moto jacket too because it’s such a staple for me! I’m sure many of you recognize it (or own it!). It was part of the N sale a couple of years ago and they keep bringing it back no doubt because it’s a favorite. I have loved it! I wear it all year and it’s my go-to jacket for football games in the fall. It’s leather but lined with a soft sweatshirt material and hood making it so soft. I got my regular size going for a more fitted look and just wear thin long sleeved tops under it, but if you want to wear sweaters under it I would go up a size. A splurge but definitely worth it!

Amazon Makeup Organizer (Sunny Side Up)

Wearing it in these pics we took on Addison’s birthday in May. :)

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{central drapey shirt/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

This is another favorite shirt from the sale! It’s oversized so I went down to an xxs and love the fit, but some reviews say that it shrinks when you wash it. I will wash mine and report back! It’s so big I actually wouldn’t care if it shrunk a little, but if you’re worried about that order your regular size. I LOVE the style and color for fall!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{alna v-neck sweater/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

Another Madewell win! Such a cute sweater and it comes in pink too!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{quarter zip pullover/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

Ok – this quarter zip pullover was one of my favorites from the sale this year and I didn’t share it immediately because it sold out SO quickly in all colors, but they just re-stocked it! YEA! It’s so comfortable and cute! It’s on the short size but perfect to pair with high waist jeans/pants.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

I know I will live in this when it cools off. Very tempted to get it in black or green too while it’s such a great price! (It’s oversized – I went down a size to xxs)

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{cleo balloon sleeve top/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

This cleo balloon sleeve top is another favorite top from the sale that you might remember from my initial collage round-up of the items I was most excited about. I wish it would have come in sooner to share because it looks like the black is sold out and the other colors almost are too. I’m hoping they re-stock it, but if not this is one top that is worth buying at full price when it comes back after the sale (in my opinion!). It’s so beautiful! I just can’t get over the sleeves. One to watch for and I’ll share it again if they re-stock it!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{funnel neck cotton blend sweater/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

This funnel neck cotton blend sweater is another great find if you like turtlenecks like I do!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

So soft and I love the sleeves! It comes in lots of color options.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{funnel neck cotton blend sweater/farrah raw hem high waist bootcut jeans/luissa bootie/mini paperclip chain necklace/mini paperclip chain bracelet/havana friendship chain}

Same sweater in black! It’s another oversized sweater so definitely go down a size. (This is xxs and still a little big!)

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

The sleeve has a slit in it giving it a fuller look at the bottom. CUTE.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{v-neck rib sweater/ribbed crewneck sweater}

Two other sweaters I love from the sale this year! (The blue and orange are the same sweater.) These are both cropped but work great with high waisted pants.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{dri-fit racerback tank}

I didn’t have time to try this on to show you but this tank is so cute too! It has a built-in bra and is a great fit. I went up to a small in this one (my regular size felt a little too tight).

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{long sleeve performance tee/zella live-in joggers/similar adidas sneaker}

These live-in joggers are long time favorites they brought back to the sale again!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{rounded v-neck tee}

They also brought back these tees that I live in! I have multiples in all colors. I’m actually wearing one right now as I type this post.. ha! They are perfect to layer with cardigans and vests or just to throw on to clean, run errands, etc. I sleep in them all the time too. :) This year they also came out with these similar tees that have more of a sharp v-neck vs. the rounded v-neck so I ordered a couple to try!

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{cast iron double grill/marble and wood serving board}

They brought my cast iron grill back too! Love this for grilling chicken and vegetables. Also here is another pic of the beloved marble and wood serving board. It’s back in stock in black! After I shared it in this kitchen post full of N sale decor favs it was sold out for a few days.

Fall Clothes (Sunny Side Up)

{adidas top/adidas shorts}

I haven’t had time to share my kids’ favorites from the sale, but this is my favorite outfit I got for Kole this year. I can’t believe he is going into 8th grade next month! I have to say that so far middle school has been a breeze with this child! I was so worried after going through the middle school years with two girls. I had my combat boots ready and was gearing up for ALL the drama. Every day I picked him up from school and he had a smile on his face. (What!?) I would say “how was your day bud? Everything ok with classes? Everything ok with friends? Is everyone getting along?” And every day it was the same thing. “It’s good mom! All good. School is good. Teachers are good. Friends are good. But mom.. the girls my age. What is WRONG with them!?”

Ha ha..

I told him if he wants my advice I’d steer clear until high school. We mellow with age. ;)
