Sunday Edit

Happy Sunday! Sharing so many fun things for fall this week! The Walmart new arrivals and fall tablescape inspo are making me so excited! Especially that green chair. I keep trying to figure out where I could put it. SWOON. I always love seeing what you’re loving too! I’m so happy my linen closet makeover gave you some ideas. I love the organizers I used for that and if you ordered some I know you will too! Addison and I made major progress packing up her room Saturday so today we get to relax and spend some time with the family. We are making the most of the next few days with all 5 of us together! I hope you are able to find some time to relax and be with your loved ones today too. Have a great start to your week!

Saturday 6

1 – FALL STEMS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Vase/Branches/Acacia Bowl

Happy Saturday! I haven’t done much fall decorating but I thought I’d share a few fun things I’m starting to style. We move the girls next week! I’ve been focusing a lot on getting things ready and spending time with them and my emotions are all over the place. One minute I’m so excited and happy for them and the next I’m in a puddle of tears. I have a feeling it will be this way for a while so I’m going to have to just roll with it. And try to distract myself with lots of organizing and decorating. :) These turning maple branches are so full and beautiful! I just have two stems in this vase and love the look so much. They make me excited for football to start!

2 – DISH DRYING RACK

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Dish Drying Rack/Potted Leaf Plant/Faux Lavender/Pedestal

I’ve had this dish drying rack for a while.. so handy! It’s perfect for when I just need to wash a few things by hand that I don’t put in the dishwasher.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

I love that it sits so easily over the sink and it rolls up and is easy to store when I’m not using it.

Dish Drying Rack

Sometimes I just set it on the counter quick too because my dishes dry so much faster when I use it. Just a little thing that makes life easier. :)

3 – FALL PILLOW

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Belgian Linen Pillow/Embroidered Throw Pillow

This green embroidered pillow is so pretty! I was shopping with a friend when I saw it and while I was swooning over it she said “it is pretty and it looks like you! Similar to one you have..” Why yes.. yes it is. Similar to my beloved floral quilted pillow. Clearly I’m easy to read. :)

4 – FALL STYLING

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Pumpkin Wood Board/Decorative Tray/Faux Eucalyptus/Pumpkin Candle/Utensil Crock/Salt Mill

Happy little fall moment on my kitchen tray.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

I keep moving this pumpkin board around because it looks cute in so many places!

 5– FALL LOOK

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Corduroy Jacket/Corduroy Pants/Booties

This jacket was a favorite from the N sale and it sold out before I even had time to share it. Back in stock and I know it will go fast. It’s such a cute and comfortable fit! I love it so much I bought it in both colors. Website says it runs slightly small but I bought it in my true size and it fits great.

6 – LIFE

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Sharing a little dose of life lately! My baby started high school. I know some of you have been with me reading since Kole was born.. how in the world are we here!? I snapped this quick right before he got out of the car on the first day. Then I blew him a kiss.. super fast so nobody would see! I didn’t want to embarrass him on day one. I’ll wait for day two for that. Then I drove home and cried the whole way. I can’t think of a first day of school that I haven’t cried so why break tradition now! He had a great first week and even though I’m sad about my girls moving out, I’m excited to have lots of time for this one.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

I didn’t have time to get too buried in my first day of school feelings because soon after drop off it was time to meet friends for a little party. Isn’t this pool gorgeous!? Looking out the window here.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

One of my close friends turned 50 (she’s the one in the crown!) and we planned a fun spa day to celebrate. We kicked off the day in shirts with her face on them for yoga.. ha.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Then enjoyed a spa treatment..

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

and pool time! We ordered lunch by the pool and just ate outside relaxing and catching up. Not a bad way to spend the first day of school. I highly recommend planning something fun with mom friends after drop off! Why haven’t we been doing this for years. :)

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

I wanted to share this fun idea for a birthday. When I turned 40 my friends made me a “40 things we love about Erin” sign all sharing different things they love about me and it’s one of my most treasured gifts! It meant so much to me so I made one for my friend’s 5oth. I love this idea for a big birthday! I decided to make it BIG and printed it 20×24 and then put it in this frame. My friend (above) ordered cute bags and then I filled them with some pool essentials for a little gift sack. Birthday girl felt loved and we had a great day.. mission accomplished!

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Another fun birthday celebration for a friend! There was a bigger group at lunch and about 10 of us showed up in white shirts! We laughed at this pic looking like my friend Ann’s bridesmaids.. ha.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Last summer birthday at a favorite restaurant in Coronado! If you ever visit make sure to stop at The Henry! Such good food and a fun vibe.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Then roast marshmallows on the beach! I’ve done this several times and it never gets old. You can rent fire pits by the hour. Such a cozy way to spend time together.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Grateful for all of my beautiful friends! Especially this year. Several of us are sad/struggling right now with kids moving out and it has been the best to have each other to lean on. I remember being a mom of young kids and needing my friends then too. I can’t imagine life without good girl friends! So worth the effort at every stage of life.

Summer (Sunny Side Up)

Spending time with friends at the Hotel Del? That’s just the icing on the cake.

:)

Have a beautiful weekend!

Organized Linen Cupboard

*This post is sponsored by Wayfair. All products selections and opinions are my own!

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Hello hello! SO pumped about today’s post! I get pretty excited about a good before and after and I have just that for you today! I’ve been ordering organizing products and home decor from Wayfair for years so when they reached out to partner on a post I knew exactly what I wanted to do! (They are doing 5 days of deals at the moment!) I don’t know if I’ve ever shared a picture of this full linen cupboard before or not!? I had it built custom in the hallway going into our master bedroom when we built our home. It’s right across from our master bathroom which is why I added a mirror on the front cupboard for a quick outfit check as I’m walking out the door!

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

If you didn’t recognize this spot before, close the bathroom door behind me and zoom in and now you do! Ha. It’s the mirror I use for my fashion selfies. What I know I haven’t shown you is the inside of this cupboard.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{BEFORE}

For good reason! It has held so many things through the years and it has always been a mess! I never took time to organize it and it’s usually stuffed with all sorts of extras. I took this pic after pulling some linens out.. it’s usually even more stuffed full than this! I have wanted to make it a true linen cupboard that holds sheets and towels for years. I started going through bedding to find things for the girls to take to college and realized that our sheets were spread out all through the house and it was time to do something about this space and consolidate!

Ready to see the after and hear the angels? :)

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{AFTER}

I mean.. can you even believe it’s the same cupboard!? Even Kenny (who pays NO attention whatsoever to my constant re-arranging around here) walked by and said “Wow! I’ve never seen this cupboard look that good!” I’m thrilled he actually noticed and even more thrilled to have this project done! If I’m being honest the reason I’ve put it off for so long is because it always felt like it would be SO MUCH WORK. And I’m not going to lie.. it took me the good part of two days. But it wasn’t at all as bad as I thought it would be! First I pulled everything out and into my bedroom.. stuff was everywhere but it felt good to look at the cupboard with a clean slate! Then I cleaned off all the shelves.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Next I started rounding up all of our sheets! These are just some of them. I laid down a blanket in the family room and tossed them all in a big pile and then turned on a movie and started sorting and folding. (*Pro organizing tip – make your project more fun by doing what you can in front of the TV. Add popcorn for best results.) Are the reindeer sheets making anyone else excited for Christmas!? Just me? Ok.. moving on. :)

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)Bed Sheet Organizers

These bed sheet organizers made the biggest difference.. talk about a game changer. I’m obsessed! You just fold your sheet set and place it in the middle (no perfect folding necessary!).

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)Bed Sheet Organizers

Then bring the side panels together and zip.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)Bed Sheet Organizers

Then fold the top and bottom over and they velcro!

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)Bed Sheet Organizers

This is the stuff dreams are made of. :) Seriously though.. how smart! I labeled all of my sheets and they are all together in sets now.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)Bed Sheet Organizers

LOVE these organizers and I love the black! They are such nice quality and were so easy to use. You can store all sorts of linens inside of them. The bottom row is all of my seasonal bedding. Thinking I’ll order one more set while they are on sale because I can fit a couple more on these shelves and use extras in Kole’s bedroom. LOVE them! After my sheets were organized I went through things and made a pile to donate and put the items I wanted to keep in this space in baskets and bins.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog){Bed Sheet Organizers, Rattan Baskets, Acrylic Shelf Dividers}

I mentioned these rattan baskets over the weekend. Long time favorites that I have in most closets in my home! I love how deep they are for closets and cupboards. They hold a lot and always look beautiful.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog){Bed Sheet Organizers, Rattan Baskets, Acrylic Shelf Dividers, Fabric Box Set}

These fabric boxes with lids are also beautiful! I’m using them to hold keepsakes and items I don’t need to use as often. I have seasonal towels and extras in the baskets on the sides.

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog) {Acrylic Shelf Dividers, Stacking Organizer Bins}

These acrylic shelf dividers stack and are perfect when you’re short on space. I actually bought these to send with my girls to college and had some extras so using them to hold towels. They will be so perfect for their dorms where we can stack 4-6 to make a tower for clothes or other items!

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

I placed extra bedding we use in our bedroom at the top..

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog){Rattan Baskets, Acrylic Shelf Dividers}

Then I used these acrylic shelf dividers for my white hand towels. Love these dividers! They are perfect to seperate and organize clothes, towels, handbags, whatever you need on a closet shelf!

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Other side.. same set up. :)

Wayfair Organized Linen Cupboard (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Bed Sheet Organizers, Rattan Baskets, Acrylic Shelf Dividers, Plastic Desk Organizers, Stacking Organizer Bins, Acrylic Shelf Dividers, Fabric Box Set}

I can’t tell you how amazing this feels! The best part is the 4 rattan baskets in the middle are empty! I’m going to use those to store smaller Christmas gifts for my crew. I’ll label each basket with their names and have a place to hide things (don’t tell!). :) I’m so happy to have this closet organized and functioning better for our family! I had so many items in this closet that we don’t even use anymore. It felt good to donate and make space for what we are using! Organizing my sheets this way saved so much space so that I can use the shelves for other things. Feeling good about this one! Angels approve and so did my husband.

I can’t ask for much better than that.

:)

Below are a few more favorites for organizing and fall decorating from Wayfair!

(I ordered the cute little mail desk organizer, and this pumpkin board too!)

Saturday 6

1 – EARLY FALL PORCH

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Tall Ficus Trees/Jute Rug/Similar Jute Rug/Stars & Stripes Doormat/Amazon Planters/Modern Rustic Fluted Planters/Faux White Shrubs/Faux Geraniums/Americana Wreath/Similar Hydrangeas}

Happy Saturday! We’re over a week into August so I figured it was probably time to take down my Patriotic porch! I’m not quite ready to bust out the pumpkins so I decided to just do a quick early fall look.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Stars & Stripes Doormat/Faux Geraniums/Americana Wreath}

It was so easy and took no time! I just pulled out the red flowers and patriotic wreath and mat.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Then replaced them with a few “early fall” touches! Perfect look for August/September when summer is wrapping up and fall is beginning.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Fall Doormat

Love this doormat for a summer/fall transition.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Faux Wreath/Fall Doormat/ Tall Ficus Trees/Jute Rug/Similar Jute Rug/Amazon Planters/ Modern Rustic Fluted Planters}

Then I picked up this pretty maroon wreath for the door. (A few more fun similar options here.)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Fall Doormat/ Tall Ficus Trees/Jute Rug/Similar Jute Rug/Amazon Planters/ Modern Rustic Fluted Planters/ Faux Eucalyptus}

These faux eucalyptus stems are so beautiful! I love them on the porch for now and will bring them inside when I pull out the pumpkins. :)

2 – PUMPKIN LIGHTS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Pumpkin Lights/ Terracotta Jack O’ Lantern}

I ordered these pumpkin lights for fall.. they are battery operated and light up a pumpkin so beautifully! The only bummer is they only fit in one of my terracotta jack o’ lanterns! You need a large opening so I’m going to have to order something thinner for the other two pumpkins! I wanted to share them anyway because they will work great for most real/faux pumpkins.

3 – BACKPACKS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{JanSport Backpacks}

We are ready and excited about Kole’s first day of high school next week! He is twinning with Addison this year.. they both wanted the same backpack. :) We’ve used JanSport backpacks the past few years and they are so good! They have a few options on Amazon too here.

4 – WEEKEND PROJECT

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Rattan Wicker Storage Baskets}

I’m working on a little project this weekend! Finally tackling the linen closet in my bedroom hallway. It’s such a mess and has been for years! I ordered lots of these rattan wicker storage baskets and a few other things to help me get organized. I’ve used these baskets in my closet and in my girls’ bedrooms and closets and love them for holding random miscelaneous items. If you look at the dimensions they are nice and deep! Beautiful and so functional. I’ll share some before and afters soon!

5 – TARGET FINDS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Tinted Drinkware}

These tinted glasses are so classy and beautiful! I can’t wait to put together a fun fall tablescape and have friends over. I don’t drink alcohol but these glasses are inspiring all sorts of fun mocktail ideas. They are such a good price and come in a pretty green too!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Rustic Eucalyptus Fall Arrangement/Faux Golden Ash Leaf Arrangement/Dark Green Vase/Vintage Brown Vase/Fall Decorative Plant}

A few more Target finds I’m using to decorate this year! So many pretty vases and stems! The art is next level this year and I rounded up everything I ordered below. I bought so many pretty prints and will share how I’m styling them all soon!

6 – PRE SEASON MESS

I feel so scattered right now! I started taking down summer and pulling out fall so my dining room looks like a seasonal bomb went off. Then I got distracted with all of the back to school prep and things were are doing to get the girls ready to move. It was a busy week full of dr. appointments, end of summer activities, friends’ birthday celebrations and last minute shopping for the kids. My house is a mess from summer (sand from the beach and pool towels are everywhere!) and I start to cry at the drop of a hat. All good things going on! But it’s messy and a lot of change happening soon and I can tell I’m anxious about it all. This is why I’m organizing my linen closet this weekend. Ha! Kind of crazy to add one more mess around here but getting something in order will help me fell calmer. That’s just how I roll. :) I also need to have a massive brain dump session tomorrow and write everything down. Too much is swirling around in my head!

I hope you are feeling a little more put together than I am at the moment! But if not that’s ok too. Write everything down that is in your head and then do one thing on that list OR organize something. Organize anything! You will instantly feel better.

Plus angels will sing which is always a happy bonus. ;)

Happy Sunday! Ahhhh! Such a good round-up today! Magnolia release their fall line at Target and it is GOLD! I rounded up my favorites here below my weekly best sellers! I just ordered so many cute things.. especially smitten with the art and stems this year! I’m also sharing some gorgeous rugs I’ve had my eye on, fall pillows and art, Amazon best sellers and cute sweaters and sneakers! The N sale ends today!! I shared my favorites from the sale that are still in stock in this post if you missed it! There are so many fun things popping up on-line. LOVE this time of year when fall is on the horizon. 1 – WRAPPING UP SUMMER

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Planter Pots}

Happy Saturday! I can’t believe it’s August. I definitely feel summer starting to wind down at our house. Remember these beautiful hydrangeas I bought in June?

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Willow Sage Outdoor Wicker Chair, Planter Pots}

They have looked gorgeous in my yard all summer and I have been watering them so diligently!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Planter Pots}

But alas.. all good things must come to an end and my plants aren’t feeling it anymore. I can’t bring them back! I had to laugh when I saw them like this not long after I watered them. They look like I always feel at the end of summer. Ha. Kole got his class schedule this week and he starts a week from Tuesday. I can’t believe my youngest is staring high school! We move the girls into their dorms the week after so we are busy getting all the back to school things ready. Feeling a lot of emotions this year and I know I’ll be a rollercoaster of highs and lows (mostly lows) for a while. But it’s coming whether I like it or not! I’m going to do my best to roll with it and find joy wherever I can. :)

2 – BRING ON THE BATS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

One thing that is helping me feel happy is knowing fall is almost here. I bought myself some of my favorite fall cookies from Trader Joe’s yesterday to remind myself that good things are coming!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Rattan Bat

Then I promptly ordered these bats! Because hello.. retail therapy. Plus I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Halloween decoration I’ve been more excited about. I can’t wait to style them! I’m not a huge Halloween girl (more just into fall in general) but Kole loves Halloween and since he will be my only child at home this October I’m bringing my A game.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Bat Scissors

I’m also clearly bringing my bat game. Couldn’t resist these scissors! I bought them because they are cute but they have quickly become my favorite pair because they are sharp and the wings make a great grip. Ha. I put together a fun page of Amazon Halloween favorites here! I’ll be sharing more on a lot of these items soon. :)

3 – CLOSET CLEAN OUT

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

We finally finished going through the kids’ closets and it feels so good to have done! We donated lots and have Addison’s things ready to pack.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Tank top hanger

I shared these tank top hangers before.. I ended up ordering more for both girls! Crazy how much space they save.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog) Space Saving Hangers

I also ordered these space saving hangers for tops.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Space Saving Hangers

Genius! You can see more of my closet organization favorites here.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{floral mini dress/initial necklace/sneakers – on sale!}

Of course cleaning out the old also means we have room for new! We got Addison this dress for college and she loves it so much that we ended up ordering it in the green floral print and the black too. The back is so cute and it comes with a built in bra (you can remove the pads if you want to). 10/10!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{white dresses/initial necklace/sneakers – on sale!}

Another cute option! Lots of darling white dresses at Hollister right now.

4 – TARGET FINDS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Fruit Still Life, Marble Candle Tray, Ceramic Vase, Ceramic Vase (Similar) Decorative Bowl}, Stripe Pillow, Floral Pillow}

I’m having a hard time resisting Target’s fall arrivals!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Ceramic Vase, Ceramic Vase /Ceramic Vase,(Similar)}

So many cute vases..

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Marble Candle Tray}

and this marble candle tray is so good!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Fruit Still Life, Marble Candle Tray, Ceramic Vase, Ceramic Vase (Similar)}

I’m also dying over the art work coming in and can’t wait to add them all over my house this fall!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Decorative Bowl}

I fell hard for this bowl on-line but got even more excited about it when I saw it in person because it’s huge! Going to look so good in the kitchen. :)

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Forest Landscape print/marble pumpkin/gold pumpkin}

More art and the cutest pumpkins! The marble pumpkin is so heavy! I was surprised when I picked it up and had to use both hands.. ha. Solid. The forest art went out of stock and just came back! I don’t think it will last long.. it’s so good.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Mountain Landscape Canvas}

Ok.. one more canvas! That I’m showing today. ;) So pretty isn’t it!? For such a great price.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog){Planner, Sugar Paper, Pens}

I also picked up some cute planners for my girls for college and then ordered one for me to match. You can’t ever have too many planners in my opinion. ;) They start in July so a great option for back to school. I got the cute office supplies for their desks.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Planner}

Love this week at a glance layout.

5 – AMAZON FINDS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Hydro Silk Dermaplaning Wand}

Couple random Amazon finds that are too good to not share. I ordered these Dermapaning Wands to try a few months ago and they are so good! The best I’ve ever used so I ordered some for my girls too.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Handheld Mini Fan}

This handheld mini fan is another recent favorite! I ordered it for Addison to use in Texas.. maybe after booking it from one class to another while it’s so hot. But it packs such a punch I want one to keep in my purse! It’s also a flashlight and a backup power bank. Cute summer gift!

6 – HAPPY WEEKEND

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Have the best weekend! I’m hoping to watch some of the Olympics I’ve been recording! So fun seeing everything take place in spots we visited a month ago. Trip pics are coming soon along with fall inspo! Good things are always coming right?

We’ve got this.

Happy August! I hope you’re having a good week so far! The N sale ends this weekend so today I’m sharing a quick round up of everything I love and ordered from the sale that is still in stock! I was going to share this round-up over the weekend but so many of these items are close to sold out and going fast so I’m sharing it now before things are gone. I’ve already shared these selfies below so I’m just sharing pics with links.. no time for chit chat! ;) I can usually tell what items will sale quickly (I’ve shopped this sale for so many years!) but this year I’m surprised these cute Nike Crop Sweatshirts are still in stock.. one of my favorite sale items this year! I’m also surprised you can still get my favorite bra, the half moon leather crossbody bag and these cute serving bowls. They all lasted longer than I thought they would! New Family Room Couch

Arhaus Kipton Couch (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Sharing a few pictures of our new couch today! Right after we finished building our home 11 years ago we purchased the Pottery Barn Comfort Roll Arm Sectional for our family room (you can see pics of it here). We love that couch and have the same couch in our theatre room! My husband’s parents moved and needed a couch and his mom has always loved mine so we took our PB couch to them and started hunting for something new. I looked at so many couches! I wanted something really comfortable with clean lines and ended up landing on a couch from Arhaus. Above and below are pics of some of the samples I looked at.

Arhaus Kipton Couch (Sunny Side Up Blog)

This dark swatch on the top was our PB couch and I was looking for a lighter fabric.

Arhaus Kipton Couch (Sunny Side Up Blog)

I knew I wanted their Crypton fabric (spill resistant and easy to keep clean!) and really liked Nomad Snow.

Arhaus Kipton Couch (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Then I found Wiley Snow. Similar to Nomad with more of a linen look. It’s a grade D fabric vs Nomad Snow which is a grade B so Wiley cost a bit more. I debated the two for a while and ended up going with Wiley. Both are beautiful options!

Arhaus Kipton Couch (Sunny Side Up Blog)

{Arhaus Kipton Wide Arm Sectional/Wool Jute Rug/Coffee Table/Glass Vase/Faux Hydrangeas}

Weeks later she arrived! I ended up choosing the Arhaus Kipton Wide Arm Sectional and I’m pretty smitten. :) I snapped these pics with my phone so the lighting isn’t great. I’ll share better pics when I get some fall decor going in this space! My house doesn’t stay this clean for long in the summer with everyone home so I wasn’t about to waste time pulling out the tripod. Ha.

Arhaus Kipton Couch (Sunny Side Up Blog)

It’s so comfortable! We all love crashing on it every night to watch movies. My previous couch had a slipcover and while it was nice to take off the covers and wash them, I was excited to have a cleaner look. We chose the deep cushions and extended one end of the couch longer to fit our space.

The Kipton couch typically has a skinny arm and to be honest originally I passed this couch up because of that and kept looking for something with a wider arm (just a personal preference!). Then I saw on-line that there was an option to get it with a wide arm and I was sold.

One of the main reasons we wanted a different couch was for TV viewing space in this room. Our last couch only had enough room for two people to comfortably sit facing the TV. This couch fit the measurements I was looking for and is longer. Now we can comfortably fit three people facing the TV. Mission accomplished!

The corner is my favorite place to be. :) A few more pics just because I took them..

I wanted to share details in case any of you are in the market for a new couch! It’s a big investment and decision isn’t it!? I spent a lot of time researching. We have been so happy with this and I know we will love it for years to come. I’m so excited to add a few new pillows for fall! And some cozy throws.

Bring on ALL the movies. :)

Sunday Edit (on a Monday)

Time for the Sunday Edit! On a Monday. My motto is clearly better late than never. :) I hope your week is off to a good start! Our new couch came and I’m excited to share details soon! Also trip pictures are coming (for those of you who wanted to see them) and I’m organizing a few things this week. Remember how I said I was totally fine with my house being a disaster? Well that was yesterday. Today it drove me crazy. A couple of spaces especially and I’m excited to tackle them this week! We are also going through my girls’ closets to decide what to donate, what is going to college and what is staying home. It’s taking a while so I’m glad we started it early. More on that later too! I’m sharing some fun things in today’s round-up! Your favorites from last week, early fall finds, dorm decor, cute ghost prints I ordered, faux tree/plant options and a peek at some Christmas items coming in stock! Just a minute of Christmas in July because.. why not? Then back to summer. :)

Saturday 6

1 – SUMMER DAYS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Umbrella, White Side Table, Similar Chaise Lounge, Flamingo Floatie, Outdoor Poolside Chair

Happy Saturday! Are you staying cool!? This picture pretty much sums up our life right now.. ha. Lots of pool time! I snapped these pics today when we got out of the pool.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Umbrella, White Side Table, Similar Chaise Lounge

We get in multiple times a day. It’s hard to feel motivated when it’s so hot outside! I have loved having so much time to hang out with my girls and I’m taking full advantage of having them home right now with no schedule. My house is a mess, laundry is everywhere, I’m behind on so many things.. and I am so fine with it! There will be plenty of time to catch up on everything when they are gone. I have 3 more full weeks with them so we are living it up and spending lots of time together! Pool, walks, movies, outings, packing for college, repeat.

2 – WHITE SIDE TABLE

Outdoor Pool Tables (Sunny Side Up)

White Side Table

I forgot to share these white side tables! I ordered them for the yard right before this summer party and they showed up an hour before guests arrived. Kenny put them together for me quick before he changed his clothes. I was so happy they came on time!

Outdoor Pool Tables (Sunny Side Up)

They came in boxes like this and were easy to assemble.

White Side Table

Perfect little outdoor tables! We had similar white tables out here before but they were wood and the paint was chipped off and they looked horrible. These are Polywood and their outdoor furniture holds up so well in weather. We have loved them this summer and I know they will last for years!

3 – SUMMER STEMS

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Serving Board, Serving Bowl, Vase, Willow Leaf Stem

I’ve shared these stems before.. another summer favorite! We eat so much fruit in the summer that I love having it out on the counter in a big bowl. This wood bowl from the N sale has been perfect to hold it all!

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)Similar Round Tray, Willow Leaf Stem, Ceramic Candle, White Vase

I have these same stems in my powder bathroom too. Such a great look for any season!

4 – KITCHEN STYLING

I’m using the small wood N sale bowl to hold my lemons and limes. It’s so cute and inspired a little kitchen styling!

So did my marble crock! LOVE it.

Saturday 6 (Sunny Side Up Blog)

Marble Serving Board, Terracotta Jug, Capri Blue Volcano Candle, Candle Snuffer, Wall Canvas

I’m using my new white marble serving board like a tray holding this gorgeous jug and candle.

5 – PROTEIN SHAKE

Protein Shake (Sunny Side Up)

Fairlife Protein Shake

Ok have you tried these protein shakes!? They are SO good! They basically just taste like chocolate milk! One of my friends told me about them and we have been obsessed ever since. You can get them on Amazon and sometimes Costco has them. Addison has been begging us to ship them to her when she’s in college.. ha. They come in vanilla but the chocolate are my favorite.

6 – CONSOLE ART

Entry console (Sunny Side Up)

Console Table, Framed Canvas, Wall Canvas (Similar), Textured Pot, Faux Olive Stems, Oval Tray (Similar), Driftwood Filler

New art on the console table and I’m bummed this print already sold out! Hopefully it will come back in stock soon. It’s so cool and moody and perfect for transitioning into fall. I’m holding off with all of my fall decor but I always start getting excited to pull things out mid July! Not because I’m in a rush to have summer over, but just because it’s fun to mix up the decor in my house and by this time I’m always ready. :) Below are a few other Target items I have sitting in my on-line cart!

Random 6 on Saturday! I hope you have the best day.

Sunday Edit

Happy Sunday! Excited about this week’s round-up! First I’m sharing your favorites from everything I shared this past week from the N sale and for Amazon Prime. I always love seeing what you love. :) Then I’m sharing some fun options for men and teens along with activewear and beauty picks from the N sale. Wrapping things up with lots of Amazon favorites! My top picks for travel, jewelry, dorm essentials and my Amazon best sellers – more items you all love most!

This weekend has been nice because it’s the first time in a long time that we haven’t had much going on. It feels so good to get caught up on a few things around the house and to just relax! Ad and I are binge watching Stranger Things (again) and I’m finally feeling on top of laundry and recovering from all of the travel this summer. Hoping to tackle our messy fridge tomorrow! I’ll share Europe pictures soon and I’m excited to do some organizing and decorating this week. I hope you’re able to spend time doing something you love this week too! Talk soon. :)
