Quite often I get asked questions about the rugs throughout my house.  Where did I buy them.. how are they holding up.. would I recommend them.  I was looking up one of my rugs on-line the other night to help answer a question someone e-mailed me and I saw that my rug was on sale.  So I looked up another rug I own in a different room.  On sale too.  Before long I realized that almost every rug I have throughout my house is currently on sale!  I guess this makes sense because I bought all of these rugs in the past year or two since we’ve been in the new house so a lot of them are marked down and on their way out.  That little discovery prompted today’s post.  I’m sharing info. and sources for most of my rugs!  And if you’ve been debating getting one of them for your home.. now is the time.  :) Continue reading “Let’s talk RUGS”

I was going through some pictures this weekend – making some sort of attempt to get my picture folders organized after being lazy over the summer and dumping everything in one spot – and I came across some yard pics I never shared.  These were taken in the spring and to be honest, when I first saw them they made me kind of sad.  Because of the drought here in So. Cal we have cut back water so much that my yard isn’t looking nearly this pretty.  I’m so glad I took these pics when I did!  Everything was just starting to bloom and grow.  My plants and lawn were so happy once upon a time.  :)  There is a lot of talk about us having an “El Nino” year and getting a lot of rain this winter.  I’m kind of obsessed with reading the news about it!  Fingers crossed it does more good than bad and we get some much needed moisture around here. Ahhh!  6th, 4th and Kindergarten.  First day of school!  You guys.  Monday was a sad day for me.  First day of school is always hard but this year I woke up and thought about my baby boy going to Kindergarten and the crocodile tears started rolling before my eyes were even fully open and awake.  I went in my closet and had a good cry and tried to get it out of my system.  Wiped my eyes, woke the kids – got everyone dressed and fed and made lunches and did hair and put on my best smile and told them they were going to have a great first day.  I was doing fine. Hi friends!  Sorry for the crickets chirping over here on the blog this week.  It has been a busy one for us!  Summer is winding down and we are making the most of it.  Lots to catch up on once I get my kiddos back in school.  I have loved having them home more with me this summer, but I get nothing done!  Nothing with a capital N!  :)  It will be nice to have some routine back in our days.  Maybe then I’ll be able to knock out more than one post a week.  ;) Continue reading “Formal Living Room Progress!”
